{ seeing clearly }
A club opening was something James had always considered to be a good time. The fact that it was Evan Rosier’s made it that much more interesting. There was chaos wherever the boy went, and James knew that all too well, all too personally, but that didn’t stop him from showing up. Whether it was because he just knew there would be trouble, or because he was really in it for a good time out, he wasn’t entirely sure. Once he’d gotten through the crowd of people, he’d gone up to get his drink. A little alcohol couldn’t hurt, and it was a club after all. He was willing to indulge himself for the night. James didn’t feel the effects of the serum that the drink was spiked with, at least not yet.
Seeing a familiar face, the Gryffindor grinned brightly. It wasn’t often that he got to see Sybill outside of the professional setting, and he did have a soft spot for the Ravenclaw. While he hadn’t given up on his pursuit of her joining the cause entirely, he’d backed off after their last conversation about it. Tonight, he had no intent to persuade her of doing anything. Right now, he was just glad to see her healthy and on too feet. Their last encounter had been filled with high adrenaline, and he was just grateful that she was okay. Approaching her, he grinned, “Nice to see you up and moving around, Trelawney. Having a good night off?”
