I remember going to a Christmas Tournament game and seeing this skinny kid from Weequahic going crazy on the court. BUCKETS from everywhere.. I think he was sophomore at the time... So after that I would look up to see whenever they were playing at home or anywhere in the area... Then I would call @mrlavaland an all I would say when he answered is KEEEEOONNN Lol. We made it our priority to make it to every game we could. It seems crazy that anyone could get a "quiet" 30 points in a high school game but Keon was different. He woke with 20 points in the box score... A few years later he became one of my Uncles @shawn_blakewood closest friends and the few times we all chilled it was always good times. It was a pleasure watching him play the game that we all loved. He's definitely in the conversation as one of the best to come from these parts 🏀🏀🏀 My prayers and condolences go out to his loved ones #LegendsDontDie #LegacyMatters #RipKeon #NewarkLegends https://www.instagram.com/p/B5vjBnflXDX/?igshid=fbyionump5c4
