Well, I had to post about this. I was horrified to read that the beloved Manor Theater is closing! My favorite theater in Charlotte! Opened in 1947! I worked there for several years in high school, I saw SO MANY great films there! Blue Velvet, Gothic, 84 Charing Cross, My Beautiful Laundrette, and those were just the films from the 80's! 4 Weddings and a Funeral, Blue, Orlando. I met my best friend there, she and I have remained friends for 34 years! Working there made me want to make films, not just watch them. I ended up going to film school because of my love of movies. The Manor was the last art house movie theater in Charlotte. Beyond sad to see it close!
