We lost another great one. Rest in peace Mrs Nancy Wilson. 💔🙏🏾 My condolences to the family and friends. Her voice and legendary artistry will live on. Farewell Mrs Wilson. Nancy Sue Wilson was born in February 20, 1937. She was an American singer whose career spanned over five decades, beginning in the mid–1950s until retiring in the early–2010s. She was notable for her single "(You Don't Know) How Glad I Am".Wilson recorded more than seventy albums and won three Grammy Awards for her work. During her performing career Wilson was labeled a singer of blues, jazz, R&B, pop and soul, a "consummate actress", and "the complete entertainer". The title she preferred, however, was "song stylist". She received many nicknames including "Sweet Nancy", "The Baby", "Fancy Miss Nancy" and "The Girl With the Honey-Coated Voice". Nancy Wilson died on December, 13th in the age of 81 years. The epitome of grace, class, beauty, and soul. She was a Song Stylist, you hear me?! The way she could tell a story in a song! Her phrasing, her tone, her voice tinged with such emotion....she should be studied. I loved to hear her simply speak. When I first heard her, I was convinced that she was Dinah Washington and Little Jimmy Scott's love child! Man, she was absolutely wonderful.
