I mentioned that I never got around to drawing a birthday thing for both Belhound and Eleanora. Belhound I had forgotten was in October, and by the time it was December for Eleanora, I was so burned out I couldn’t even draw any of my OCs, let alone think of my stories.

So now is the time again for me to make something really quick for the day the Troop all pretend is Belhound’s birthday, as they have no way of knowing when it truly falls on.

Ik now I’ve been away for a while…. This drawing is because I never made a B-day thing for each of them last year, I just couldn’t bring myself to draw often. The burnout was so heavy in my head...

I usually try to keep these brief, but I can’t for this one. I need a lot of help. Second to last, I drew Vivian again. She didn’t change as much either; however, I changed her eye color to how it was when I first created the character. She is deaf, and I’m still learning ASL, so I might struggle with words and gestures. I think I might know the sign referring to the bug “roly-poly”, where you take your fists and roll them in a tumbling motion, one over the other, but I’m not sure. Instead, when the Troop refer to her by her code name, they just take the “r” on its side and roll it in the air. When they refer to her name they take the “v” and swipe the two fingers downward in a fast motion, in reference to her long hair or dress. They themselves are trying to learn sign language, so they use shortcuts a lot. But I NEED help understanding sign language and shorthand gestures, if anyone stumbles across this who happens to know ASL way better than I do. I’m a little nervous, and I don’t want to make myself look like a dunce lol. I just don’t know a lot. Sorry for the paragraph. ‘:|

She dose somersaults a lot, so they call her “Roly-Poly”. And when Duffy “joins” the Troop, she takes him everywhere she goes. Duffy is sort of inspired by my dog’s dog toy, which is also inspired by a puppet from the 1950s named “Lamb Chop”, although this is a world based in a 1940s type era.

And Winny takes a turn. Her pants are brighter now, and I saw an old photo of some ladies with their shirts tied in front of them. I liked that better than just the tank top.

Little Vivian celebrates her birthday today. (It wasn’t until I was writing down the date in the file name when I realized what today was though…)

Although she is deaf, she is quite expressive. And although she is small and mostly shy, she is never afraid to go on an adventure with the Troop: always accompanied by her faithful companion, “Duffy” of course.
