When an orca dies at SeaWorld or other dolphin parks their bodies are merely discarded and sent to the local landfill or even worse sent to an animal rendering plant where they will become animal food. How do you guys feel about Sea World? I ask because their star orca, Tilikum, died recently and people on Facebook and such are saying that it wasn't Sea World's fault. I wanna know what y'all think, comment how you feel about it.

Blackfish (L’orque tueuse) : Le Film

Qui n'a pas encore entendu parler de Blackfish ? Ce film a pourtant largement contribué à détériorer l'image de SeaWorld aux États-Unis faisant chuter lourdement l'entreprise en bourse. SeaWorld est un groupe qui possède trois parcs zoologiques marins détenant des cétacés comme l'orque ou encore le grand dauphin. Ces parcs détiennent également d'autres animaux marins comme des tortues, des lamantins ou encore des requins. Affiche du film Blackfish raconte l'histoire de l'orque Tilikum qui entraîna sa dresseuse Dawn Brancheau par le fond le 24 février 2010, au parc de SeaWorld Orlando. Ce jour là, l'orque captive n'a pas voulu obtempérer aux ordres de sa dresseuse. Ce drame suscita un vrai choc dans l'opinion, mais aussi beaucoup de questionnements autour de la captivité des animaux sauvages. C'est après ce triste événement que la réalisatrice Gabriela Cowperthwaite commença son enquête, et réalisa un reportage sur le sujet. Avant toute chose il faut savoir que Tilikum est un épaulard
