My turn for a question! :D How did you come up with the various head canons for the Road Rovers? Who are your biggest influences?

That One Evil Writer. He used to go by several different names in the fandom, but that was his most recent one. Aside from a few points, he and I had pretty similar thoughts on RR. He actually gave a crap about the canon characters and wanted to develop them. This shocked me, as everyone else was pretty much all about their fan creations.

I love TOEW’s characters and ideas, and we would collaborate on taking other fans’ old abandoned original fan characters and plot ideas and fixing them up so that they could fit better into our stories. I know there’ll be at least a few people out there who’ll be like “OMG you guys stole other peoples’ charries you evil bastards!!!”, nooo. Relax and listen to me. We both went in acknowledging that these OFCs were not ours. There wasn’t and still isn’t any attempt to claim them. I’m trying to phrase this as delicately as possible, but many of these OFCs, while great ideas, weren’t executed well (maybe their creators were new writers; if so, then that’s not very surprising). We just wanted to fix that.

I haven't heard from TOEW in several years now, so wherever he is, I hope he’s doing well.

@usami-chan13: I don’t agree with all her headcanons, but most of the stuff she came up with directly relating to the canon Rovers I can get behind.

Then there’s @fortunacloverleaf She’s actually helped me refine and influence several of my OFCs, especially one that was just a knockoff pastiche of two other canon characters.

Finally, to a lesser extent, George Aguirre. His work wasn’t perfect, but did have a heavy mythology/fantasy bent I like.

havent seen it yet, but i suppose i’ll rent it because i watch everything and i like blockbuster garbage. for example i own the pirates of the caribbean trilogy box set and it’s glorious

Soooo, I shall be the first to ask you a question! :D I've read up on your Danger Rangers story, which I will be reviewing when I can get to it lol, and I find it amazing that you can take DR and turn it into what it is to date. I've been wondering, how did you come up with the plot for "Unnatural"?

First off, thanks for reading! DR had the potential to be an action-adventure cartoon along the lines of Thunderbirds or something (though if kids did legit learn something from DR, then I can’t hate on that), so I wanted to highlight that aspect of the show more.  

The story in question was inspired by the movie The Fly, plus my wanting to do more with Quinten (who was a one-shot bad guy) and his transporter. Sully’s my favorite Ranger and I wanted to write about him, so I just tossed all those things together. XD

I believe in looking on the bright side and hoping for the best, and turning bad situations for good, but it never hurts to stay grounded and really think things through.La Bamba: What’s a place you visited or want to visit?My family went to Hawai’i. We stayed on Maui and Kauai, and it was the best vacation I’ve ever been on. I’d definitely go back, but I’d want to check out the other islands. I’ve also been to Mexico, that was really awesome.More than anything else I want to visit Italy. I have a very large, very Italian family and I’ve always felt really connected to that side of my ancestry. I just wanna go there and eat everything and soak up all the art. I’d also love to visit Japan, Australia, Ireland, so many places.Rock Around the Clock: Morning person or night owl?More of a morning person, although I definitely have no problem staying up late if I’m doing something important. I guess my deal is I don’t like to be OUT late. ^^Shout: What cause do you believe in standing up for?Ooh… that’s a good one. There are so many, but one that’s especially close to my heart is raising awareness about mental illness. There’s such a stigma about mental illness, which makes it difficult for the people struggling with it to get the treatment they need. Before I was properly diagnosed with OCD I didn’t even understand that’s what was happening to me because of the widespread misconception about what the disease is. I think the biggest thing is we need to stop treating mental illness as an character issue instead of a physical one; these illnesses come with a lot of shame and by encouraging silence on the matter we’re just making it worse. This stuff needs to be talked about.That’ll Be The Day: What’s your hope for a better world?…this may sound incredibly stupid and naive, but I hope for a world that is much kinder, one where differences are accepted even if they’re not always understood. One that’s not so concerned with doing things a certain way, where there isn’t this huge divide between culture and religion and political views. I’m dumb and optimistic and I want to believe there’s a middle ground we can find.Thank you for the asks!
