A human being was running in the dark, screaming for help as he went. A monster followed close behind, snarling and growling as it went. The thing was like a hairless bear, with a brown hide and large jaws clamping in an overbite. And every so often, there was a flash of blue light, and the monster’s mistress appeared behind them.
Then, stepping out of a blue disc directly in front of the human, the blade-wielding blonde put out her hand and the man crashed into it, falling into the ground. He was instantly clamped up into monster’s jaws. Illyana swept a hand over the pair of them, and a blue disc appeared in front of them. The monster carried the human in its jaws into the blue disc, where the two vanished into another realm. Illyana was about to follow--until she sensed another creature, not human, watching. “Come out, come out wherever you are?” she called with a little grin, tilting her head to the side. “I won’t hurt you.”
