Congratulations to our next rising star of Irish dance: Mary Wick!

Mary is in u16 and dances for the Wick-Hegarty School in New Jersey, Mid-Atlantic Region.

At the 2014 Oireachtas, Mary came in 54. The next year, she propelled up to 23rd in 2015 and missing WQ by four. 2016, Mary jumped 20 places, landing herself on the podium and in 3rd place! (51 places in only three years! Talk about progress!)

In addition to winning many OC feiseanna, Mary placed 21 in the 2016 NAIDC. With her stellar placements, Mary is certainly one to watch out for in the future!

Fun fact - talent must run in the Wick family, because Mary is cousins with Western Region Champion Marisa Wick!

Rising Stars of Irish Dance’s FIRST FEATURED DANCER!!!

Erin Malloy from Glencastle Irish Dancers!

Erin is a u15 Open Championship dancer. Erin caught our eye because of her stellar placements recently, including a huge jump in Oireachtas placements.

Mid America Oireachtas 2014 - 43rd

2015 - 41st

2016 - 20th, only 2 places away from WQ!!

Erin also placed at the 2016 NAIDC, and has been a consistent placer in OC, with multiple first places. Because Erin jumped 21 spots from 2015 to 2016, we are confident that she will World qualify in the near future! Keep up the great work, Erin! @littlepinksolodress

Our next rising star of Irish dance is Grace Dailey from the Dwyer School!

Grace competes in Open Championship u14 in the Mid America Region.

At the 2014 Oireachtas, Grace placed 21st. At the 2015 Oireachtas, she placed 16th and qualified for Worlds for the first time. At the 2016 Oireachtas, Grace jumped all the way to the podium, qualifying for Worlds for a second time and coming in 3rd! 

Grace has also competed well at the NAIDC and came in 22nd place in 2015.
