“S’a cozy place y’have here. Ain’t exactly safe tho, is it.” He looked over, leaning against the wall for a moment, keeping his ears pricked and ready for the sound of approaching danger. “How long y’been here?”

riskyourlife submitted: James groaned internally. He’d never really been a fan of going on runs, no one was. It seemed like every time someone left their current shelter, someone died. Adding that to the fact that the only other person going was Carl made the whole situation ten times worse. Still, he had to go. The group was almost out of food and completely out of water. James checked to make sure he had his weapons on him as well as the list of things they would need and headed to find where the other boy was.

“finally.” carl uncrossed his arms, letting out a sigh of relief as he tossed a bag at the other boy. “took you long enough.”

with that, he began walking away rather quickly, before speaking up once more. “there’s a small store nearby. we’ll stop there first and see if there’s anything left.”
