YOU KNOW IT! I saw that Thranduil poster and went, "Daaaaaaaamn, Lee, why you gotta be like that? All sexy and thoroughly unattainable." He knew what he was doing to us. He knew.
thorkizilla said: I LOVE that poster but oh man I am not looking forward to catching up on the Thranduil tag. It’s a mess already enough AND I just went through this with the Legolas tag! *weeps*
Haha, I hear you. All I have to say is that I have been SO SPOILED by the thorki fandom. Sometimes, I feel like I'm missing something, that there's got to be a tag that everyone else is using that I am oblivious to. I'm also a bit surprised that in a fandom that arguably goes as far back as 1937 does not seem to be as alive on tumblr as other fandoms are. (Maybe that's the problem? Maybe it's too old? Or maybe it's just that what I happen to like about Tolkien's world is too obscure! ;P)

Hmmm, I believe some experiments must be conducted. I'll need Tom in my bedroom lab, stat.
You know. For science.
*adjusts glasses*
Your ficlet got me thinking what if this tentacled darkness has been a part of Cecil all along? What if he is some kind of chosen one and has to protect Night Vale from some horrific evil? What if StrexCorp was only trying to help him realize his full potential all this time, but they heard it would take severe trauma to do it, so they started attacking the things he loves?
I… hadn’t considered it in that light…
… Holy Shit, Strex….
Do you have any fic recs for non-smutty Thorki? I just got my friend's 13-year-old daughter into shipping it but everything I read/write is porn-heavy. Go me, corrupting them young.
That's a hard one:D I don't have too much in mind that don't contain sex scenes (it seems like it's almost impossible in this fandom:D)
And then they were golden (one of my faves, tbh)
Paper cranes by Canute: it's not so much of a Thorki and rather sad but i rly like it.
Epistolic has some dark toned fics that are not explicit but they are short
And then I have some faves where I don't remember how much sex (or how explicit) is involved like Kjetter, Falling like a flip of a coin, The days were bright red, Trajectories, Chaos war, Shatter, Athelas (all of them on AO3).

Marty, your art has literally gotten to the point where I see it and get angry because it’s so good. Like the GFYTH page. I should make a GFY Marty page.
GoFuckYourselfMarty sounds pretty good actually. I'm literally crying damn.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you cry. :/
Here's a bit of optimism on the subject. The funny thing is, despite my pissed off rant, I do see the possibility of change. It's going to take a shitload of education and in some cases, turning around the way people think completely. The problem is too many people are trying to meet the violence with violence or ignoring the problem all together and making it seem like the people who care are overreacting (very common; I'll admit I've been guilty of it.) What we should be doing is both punishing those who did the deed and teaching our children to create a world where this isn't okay.
We may not see the end result in our generation, but at least we can try and put everyone on the right track!
