Thoughts on Shirallas!

I like how he’s basically the embodiment of this Troubled Birds piece adfjkalsg

And I thought it was really cool how well-aligned Francesca’s monologue about power being both a means and an end, went with the flashback of Shirallas enslaving himself because he wants Fenris’ power.

Aww thank you for checking in! <3 I’ve been okay, mostly just busy with work and anxious about the safety of the protesters... Up until the police abandoned the police station very near my apartment, I could hear the helicopters and flashbangs even while I worked. But on Friday I visited the autonomous zone and it was so peaceful and beautiful that I have a renewed sense of hope for the world getting better!

6. Who did they romance and why?

Nora romanced Solas. She trusted him. He was there since the beginning and helped her when it came to the anchor. No pun intended but Nora was always inquisitive. Her mark being fade related piqued her interest. She needed to know what it was and how it worked. He was the ‘fade expert’ so she spent a lot of time asking him what he knew. These conversations led to new conversations to getting to know each other to forming a bond that was more. Spending time tends to bring people together and even through their differences they both came to admire the other. (She trusted Solas, I worry for her character judgment.)

20. Do they trust Morrigan?

Nora doesn’t trust Morrigan as far as she could throw her. At first Nora tries to give her the benefit of the doubt and listen to what she has to say and maybe with time they could have a meeting of the minds. That never happens. Eventually, Nora feels that Morrigan is being condensing. Morrigan acts as if she doesn’t know anything when it’s HER culture. Nora is the first to the keeper. She spent her whole life up until the inquisition learning about her people. It is her job to remember and pass her knowledge in time. She knows the pantheon! She knows of eluvians. For fucks sake she has MYTHAL’S VALLISLEAN! Of course she knows who she is! Anyways, yea. No.

28. Did they disband the Inquisiton or maintain it?

Disbanded. By the end of Trespasser, Nora is OVER IT. She was put in a position that she didn’t want to be in the first place. She did everything they asked of her. They called her the Harold regardless of her specifically asking them not to. She played tea party in orlais just to be called ‘rabbit’ as she passed by nobles. Not only did she kill a dark spawn set on god hood and his dragon but she SEALED the hole in the sky MULTIPLE TIMES! AND THEY STILL DIDNT APPRECIATE HER and even shamed her. So she’s like okay well good luck see what you guys can do on your own cause I’m out and so are the wardens ✌🏼 good luck in any potential other catastrophes! Oh yea my ex is about to tear down the vail ttyl.

45. What is their most and least favourite place to explore? Why?

Favorite and least favorite is simultaneously the Emerald Graves. Nora is an ELFY elf and a fuggn nerd. As I mentioned, it’s a firsts job to remember (Merrill says what) Her heart aches to remember the losses that her people have faced. The bloodshed, the torture, the hatred they’ve inherited but it is her job to keep records. Piece together what’s what and keep her culture alive. So maybe I should take that back, not just the emerald graves but all elven ruins. (Imagine the shock and awe of the cross roads for her.)
