I can’t believe I haven’t drawn Abby Brunnit yet, she’s literally the other character I ship the most with the Rival Baker (tied with Lea)
Aww, the two love birds or rodents… are bunnies rodents? bonus:
A cowardly rival. A cowardly friend.
Come try Pyun Pyun’s LOVEY DOVEY MAGICAL COMBO MACARONS!!
Fun Headcanon ideas for the bakery: - the rival baker is a snarky little stinker, but they also tend to be a hammy, dramatic, enthusiastic little cringe lord and it’s glorious - EX: the bakery is called Pyun Pyun Heartthrobbing Endless Love Bakery! (And the macarons are called the Lovey Dovey Magical combo Macarons) - they would refer to the items as what they are (chocolate mousse, roll cake etc.) but they have very elaborate anime title kind of names (the wandering Mr. Mousse, The Spinning Choso Cake). Unfortunately, the only one who would say the food names without any hint of irony is flipppin Ron Gaceta - The chocolate mousse is the only one not based on an anime, light novel, or show in universe; the rival baker just encountered a strange guest at their bakery who said that they should make a chocolate moouse before fading into the floor - well that and the coffee. The drinks don’t tend to get any fancy name to them (having came later from the other pastries) due in part to being a marketing ploy, and most of the drinks are not prepared/brewed from scratch - They may not always be best at presentation but they’re the best baker in town. No matter if the presentation may falter a bit, their goods are absolutely delicious, even for picky eaters and food critics - For the macarons, they used to have six flavors with four macaron each, due to budgeting restrictions, they only have four flavors with six macarons each - additionally, the macarons are all based on the main three miracle girls: vanilla-cookie blueberry ice cream, strawberry vanilla swirl, cookie and cream lavender with happy balls. The top coat is based on the magical girl’s hair while the filling is their theme colors (so blue, white, and purple. There are a lot of fans online that claim that it’s actually a pink girl, not white, but that’s debunked by the creators) - The mystery flavors tend to based on available materials, but they’re all based on one of the side magical girls in the Miracle Girls Franchise. Some are side characters, while others are mcs in spin offs. - Chocolate almond was the one prepared in the demo, based on the yellow miracle girl who was a sister overshadowed but with the brightest heart. She famously died in one of the best written arcs of the series via pancake (think Polites). - One of the first foods that Ron tried here were the macarons, mainly due to the miracle girls theming. That said, they were the most delicious macarons he ever tasted (even if not all the macarons were perfectly uniform). He ended up trying all the other pastries but this was still his favorite (due in part to the miracle girls theming and because of his first taste bias) - Ron never really tried the first edition of the Lovey Dovey Magical Combo Macarons (six flavors four macarons) due to having came to the bakery much later when business was generally floundering. That said, he very much would have like to, and would have started info dumping about the magical girl inspired macarons (I feel like Rival baker would definitely be intrigued) - there are a lot other magical girl themed pasteries in Pyun Pyun Bakery, but the macarons are the only ones based on the Miracle Girls. - most of the cakes while don’t have an specific anime inspiration behind them, do have funny unique long dramatic names. - Abby gets free pasteries as the rival baker’s special delivery guy. Usually, this is because the rival baker doesn’t always have the extra money to pay for express deliveries so they offer something else worth value. She doesn’t always eat them, usually just saves them for her parents back home - All employees are allowed to try the pasteries, no extra charges. Unfortunately, the employee the rival baker hired doesn’t have much of a sweet tooth, so he doesn’t really try any of the pasteries.
