EPISODE TWO OUTLINE
Episode Two of Idol Project: Reboot is here! The second episode features a lot of the contestants still finding their footing and getting into the competitive spirit, and the main challenge will feature the ultimate battle of old eras vs new!
TASKS
To earn points for your character, please complete the following tasks. These are not mandatory, and can be done at any time and still be counted. Refer back to last week’s tasks for more you can do, if you have not done them already
Weekly Confessional: post an interview or confessional about how your character is adapting to dorm life and the competition, along with their reactions to this weeks performances and challenge.*
Drabble: Write a short drabble (IC or OOC) about the most important person in your trainees life, and how that person has affected your character’s career.
Threads: threads to do with the show can earn you points too. Para threads (200+ words) are worth more points than gif chats and one liners. Threads played out to their completion are worth even more points; if you finish a thread, submit the link to the last post in the thread to the main blog.
Self Paras: self paras to do with the show (ie practicing, dorm life, self reflection, performances, calls home) can also earn you points. These can be done as often as you’d like as long as you provide some variety in the content.
Weekly Challenge: Within their Letter Grade teams, every team has been assigned a company. With the groups from that company in mind, each team has to pick an older era song (pre 2014) and a new era song (2015 and beyond) to perform. the teams will be pitted against each other to perform their songs, old era vs new era, in a two-night main challenge.
Tasks can be completed at any time. Episode-specific tasks are indicated with a little ‘*’ above, so when you complete them (even if you end up doing it in a few weeks or something), be sure to mark it as ‘EPISODE TWO’, be it as a title or in the info before your self para or something like that. Any completed tasks and challenges can be tagged ‘rivalzipdone’
WEEKLY PERFORMANCE
For this week’s performance, all contestants will be performing in their letter grade team. Each team will be assigned a company, and will be asked to choose and prepare two songs-- one by an older group that debuted in 2014 or before, and one by a newer group that debuted 2015 or later. The songs picked are up to them, however they cannot pick a song from a group they are in, or have been in.
There will be two performance nights, and on each night, they will perform one of their two songs. They will be matched against one of the other teams, who will perform their song from the opposite era (ex: team a performs their new song against team b’s old song). Here are the teams, company assignments, and song choices:
TEAM A: Ahki, Hayoon, Sikyung (Spotlight) TEAM B: Aeri, Isis, Jaehee, Melody (Higher) TEAM C: Andy, Misaki, Nayoon (Liberty) TEAM D: Destiny, Windy, Yooi (New Age)
We have linked stages for each teams performance (the ic performance doesn’t have to follow the ooc one exactly, as numbers and distributions will vary). The performances are:
