Benny Andersson on the inspiration for DON'T SHUT ME DOWN, a single from ABBA’s new album VOYAGE (The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show, Sept. 3 2021)
sometimes i think about the first time i watched river with nicola walker and stellan skarsgård and how i cried for half an hour straight once it finished
Television: ‘River’ is pitch perfect. But please don’t bring it back
Review: ‘River’, ‘Liveline: Callback’, ‘True North: Will’s Kitchen’
River (2015)
Yeah, I'm literally crying about a random similarity between two scenes of two different TV shows.
River, BBC (2015)
Chernobyl, HBO (2019)
Lesley Manville as Chrissie Read in “RIver”
Now this song is staying my mind for the whole day cuz of River.
The worst part is that there is not "if only " at all. River could never admit the love between him and Stevie for the fear of building relationship caused by abandoned by his own mom. And Stevie also a mom who abandoned her child, burdened such a terrible family. Even though she is brave and strong how could she told all the darkness and her love to River at the same time. Let along her most precious boy get involved in the criminals.
The only one "Only if" is that only if Stevie die, all the love and darkness could be seen finally. This thinking makes me sadder and finds fanfiction that changing to the happy ending cannot attract and comfort me. Now I'm very looking forward to Unforgotten S4, but it'll be an ending season, so maybe I will break my heart again with Nicola Walker...😿
