Maharashtra State Demanded 16.5 TMC Water From Ukai Dam, Gujarat
When the matter comes to water and electricity, Gujarat has both resources in quite good amount. Gujarat is selling the electricity to other state. Maharashtra government demanded 16.5 TMC water for Khandesh region from Ukai Dam. Well, Ukai Dam is constructed on Tapi river and it is located near border of Gujarat - Maharashtra.
Vijay Shivtare who is the state minister of water resource demand more water while his is speaking at the fifth meeting of a special committee for interlinking of rivers. The meeting is chaired by Sawarlal Jat who is the union minister of water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation and President of Interlinking River Project.
