river doesn't necessarily love that the first time she's seeing teddy in almost two weeks after things changed between them is with the rest of their friends. the simple fact that her ex is in attendance is the number one reason that they should keep their distance, but even if that weren't the case, wandering eyes and gossiping mouths are enough of a risk. thankfully the club is dark and at this point everyone is steadily reason the point of being tipsy, river included. she moves through the crowd, settling herself in the almost empty booth everyone was sharing and eyes teddy across the room, a sly smile forming on her lips as she pulls her phone from her pocket.
