These are the remains of a ship found during construction work in Heze City, China. Dating from the Yuan Dynasty, the period when Genghis Khan's successors ruled over China (c. 1271-1368), the ship housed a shrine, a captain's cabin, 12 crew cabins, cargo rooms and an steering room that doubled as a kitchen.
In total, more than 100 artefacts were found both from inside the shipwreck and from the surrounding area, including artefacts made of porcelain, pottery, lacquerware, jade, stone, iron, bronze and gold. The ship itself was about 21m long and was probably a river ship. The hull is broken which was the cause of the sinking.
