River could feel his heart beginning to race as the absolute Karen standing at his cash register began her racist tirade against him. All this over Stevia, or rather, a lack thereof? It seemed like a bit much. “Ma’am,” he said firmly, "can you like... leave?” This was scary, and overwhelming, but not that shocking for the midwest.
Hands fumbled, toppling the woman’s coffee and spilling it all over the counter. “Oh... fuck, sorry, don’t burn yourself,” he pleaded as the woman kept on and on. He grabbed fistfuls of napkins, trying to sponge it up. This was not a good first week on the job.
Open starter for River: Getting caught in the act!
River had made his way out of the city and into the countryside because he missed being back in nature once in a while. Being in nature made him think of the fae realm, of his home and it made him feel at ease. The young male spotted a lake and he decided to stay there for a little while and just relax. He got undressed before going into the water because he wanted to take a swim. And after swimming for a few minutes he decided to allow his wings to take form again. River didn’t mind being in his human form but it felt way nicer to be in his natural form. But just as the male wanted to take another swim he heard a sound and he began to look around, wanting to find out whether someone was watching him.
Connection: brother, father, cousin, uncle, in law to be, anything taboo
River wasn’t exactly the family oriented kind of person, but his big brothers wedding was something he couldn’t miss. With all of his family staying in the same hotel for the wedding he specifically paid for his own suite by himself. He was in the shower when he heard the knock at his door. Grabbing a towel he got out of the shower and answered the door to someone he wasn’t expecting. “What’s going on?”
Open starter for River: Is this really weird?
River was in the human world for a little while now and he was still trying to get the hang of things and for the time being he had decided to live in a tree outside of the busy city. He had just woken up in the morning and wanted to eat some of the nuts he had found earlier as he saw a squirrel in front of his stash. “This isn’t really nice of you, little buddy.” The fae told the small animal being aware that it would understand him. Fae’s had always been able to communicate with animals in some ways and he was happy about that. “Alright, if you promise to not steal any more from him you can have two nuts.” River added and then looked down as he heard some footsteps draw near.
“You, sir, look like a homosexual.”

Open starter for River: I wish I could fly!
River had left the busy human city behind and looked for a forest until he found one that gave off the vibe he had been looking for. In the heart of the forest he found a lake and because the young fae was certain he was alone he decided to take a bath. He got undress and then jumped into the clear and cool water. And as he did so he allowed his body to shift into his true form. The color of his eyes changed, his ears became pointier and his pair of blue wings spread. River let out a soft sigh of relief because he had missed feeling the wind play with his feathers.
After swimming for a while the young male sat on a big rock in the middle of the lake to allow his wings to dry. River began to wonder whether it would be safe to take a short flight, being lost in his own world. But suddenly the sound of breaking twigs made him alert again and he looked around to who had found him here.
