I really hope that the afterlife is just an afternoon on the beach with my family and my dog where no one really notices that time isn’t passing. We just play together and no one is afraid of our time running out.

I really hope that the afterlife is just an afternoon on the beach with my family and my dog where no one really notices that time isn’t passing. We just play together and no one is afraid of our time running out.
No one stopped me out on the road
So I ended up where I was always bound to go
Your absence, the pain my heart still knows
From before I lost friends and collected foes
Now I don’t have the words to prove
That for all these years my hearts not moved
And that I’m no closer to accepting fate
Drunk on fear and dumb from hate
My failure is always in proportion to my ambition. It’s the hope that things will get better that harms me more than anything else.
Joke’s on me
the alarm bell sounds
I sure can be gullible
I sure can feel bound
to the fate that’s unfolding
and refolding me
stuff me into a bottle
throw me into the sea
A letter on the waves
but whose paper got ripped
Time shifted your font
Till the meaning got flipped
and the salt water stains the same
down where it dripped
If it feel from my eye
or it feel from your lips
No one waits behind the door
I am my own boogeyman
sneaking up on myself when I least expect it
making haste with the tools
if were they ever one moment neglected
Fear can evaporate the water slowly collected
Or burn down the walls painstakingly erected
And I’m there in a moment afraid to breath in
Or to wake from its slumbers the wages of sin
You can’t count the breaths of a life that never begins
Or share farewells with a dream that perceives not it’s end
Say a prayer for all the things I will never be
It’s a struggle, one of seven I will know this week
And when they are done all I have built may lay here at my feet
If I am strong I’ll make it there and will not fall asleep
Or dare resent the shriveled harvest that the sower reaps
