things had been weird here and there ever since the party. he should have known that a party in an old fucking train would not come with great news. it was such a tight space- river was surprised people had not ended up killed or severely hurt. that he knew of. it was not uncommon for him to have loopholes after a party, but the things he had seen, the look in some people’s eyes after a moment of the night- it was something he couldn’t get his mind off. he tried to keep an eye on tate as they hung out for the first time after seeing him leave the train with a pale face, as if he had been to hell and back, but nothing seemed out of the ordinary. it was not like he wanted to be the jealous dealer kind, ask if he had taken something a stranger had offered- but he had been concerned. maybe it had been a part of his very own trip, which kind of seemed to be, so he tried to let it go.
river reached out to grab another slice of pizza, only to find the empty box- “what? no- no- i was so sure there was another slice left. what am i going to do now?” his body felt too heavy from the last joint he’d smoked. he just looked at tate, hoping he could give him the answer he needed. || @mvdgrit
