WhatwhatWHAT???? Unconscionable. Despicable. Utterly, completely wrongheaded. I'm so, so, sorry.

It seems the two girls started making out in the classroom when the teacher stepped into the hallway*^. The teacher wrote them a referral, which I do agree with and would have been done regardless of gender.

They opted to call the parent they had a number for to tell her what happened. They also decided to tell her "I thought you might also want to know it was with another girl." hoping that she would "be the kind of parent that would be cool with it."

And yes, the comment about "just in case they had any sleepovers" and "because they were worried about the emotionally" was their reasoning.

* - These two girls made out A LOT around school. I honestly think this was a political statement/equality statement because they usually did it in high traffic places.  

^ - This was described to me as "The lesbians started going at it."

It hurts my heart and makes me want to scream. There were so many better ways to do this, but they chose the most intrusive and offensive way.

Since you're prompting asks and tells, just dropping by to say how much I've enjoyed your blog. :-) Been reading and mulling over fic for ages, and my new year's resolution is to get back towriting fic and hopefully participating more in discussions in and around the fandoms. Oh, no! Right in time to go back to work! :( Hope you feel better soon.

Thankfully I'm off until the 6th, so I have a little time to recoup. But unfortunately it's just in time to make the last few days of vacation miserable. :(
