Still winding down from a wild weekend! This year's festival far exceeded our expectations. All of the shows were well attended and everyone seemed to have a great time! Thanks to everyone who beat the cold and came out for the fest!

Three months later I am eating cough drops by the handful and diligently attempting to wrap up school work.
Riverwest Fest 2 is happening this weekend, Friday the 16th and Saturday the 17th. Hopefully there isn't a massive blizzard before then.
49 bands, 9 venues, some all-ages, some +21. Brand new bands, old favorites, 47 locals, 2 out-of-towners. Over the last few months Sean and I have organized the bands and venues in a rotation of bolding and coloring a few excel sheets. I am really excited to see how everything unfolds. This year the festival is not a fundraiser for The Eagle's Nest, but rather the money will be divided amongst the bands. Until we figure out how to further secure an all-ages space, last year's funds will remain in the bank account we set up for The Eagle's Nest.
There have been a lot of questions about the future of the fest. "Where do see the festival in five years?" It is easy to get wrapped up in grandiose delusions. We're doing it because we can and because it is fun. We're just trying to get friends together to have fun. Let's strengthen community ties and get rowdy this weekend.
