Something personal from Instagram about my webcomic. I just want to say, I'm not against steamy stuff, but it's never really been my cup of tea. Any time I have made something steamy, I'm sure y'all could tell right away that I was uncomfortable. When I create or do fanart for characters I want to see them and have them be seen as more than just love interests.
I've been trying to stick to my own ideals lately and I feel like my art and comics are better for it because I've been writing what I actually know instead of what I think I know. This is why Siren au is so long now, it's because instead of trying to make romance happen right away, I focused on the story I'm trying to tell instead and it has been a huge learning experience for me.
I usually don't get too personal on here, this is actually a lot for me to share so casually, but if there is anyone out there who feels this way as well, you are not alone. You can still create meaningful stories and relationships without microscoping your love interests.
