Hellooo would I be able to request a Tamsy x reader. the reader was originally apart of Team danger but swapped to Team Eager which kinda confused everyone since Team danger is kinda perceived as a powerful cleaners who can’t cooperate or do teamwork (or what I remember based on what enjin and zanka said in the manga). Especially the reader is seen as stoic and serious, who’s very closed off which gives the others the impression that she thinks way better than everyone else that she refuses to interact with them but in reality shes actually terrified and rlly shy when it comes to the other cleaners. shes actually quite the opposite (n surprisingly really really talkative ) of what people perceive her to be and the only reason she swapped teams is bc she really wanted at least one friend 😭 so sorry if I yapped a lil too much but thank you 🙏🏼

Your presence announced itself by the piercing claps of metal around your wrist, before you could even make a physical appearance, The doors to the HQ fell open with a loud thud, your steps echoing through the spacious entrance hall.
Semiu did not have to look up to know who it was, yet she did feel slightly surprised (and overwhelmed) by your sudden visit. The members of team danger were constantly on the move, barely showing their faces around the headquarters unless they managed to obtain a short break.
You of all were one to rarely return to the base, making you a myth amongst some of the newer cleaners and especially to the supporters.
“Well, hello there, Sunshine.” Semiu smiled from behind her magazines while u remained silent.
“This was a heavy one, am I right? Heard that these particular trash beast gave you quite the beatin.”
“They were annoying, let's put it like that.” Even your voice carried itself with pride.
Upon reaching her desk, you suddenly placed both your hands on the firm wood, grasping the attention of the secretary. Your bracelets danced with the impact, a nice melody erupting. Semiu even put away her magazine, intrigued by your action.
“Is something the matter-”
“I want to switch to team Eager.”
The silence that fell onto the room left even the chatty woman quiet. Semiu could not believe her ears, thus she asked you again only to be met with the same, unusual answer.
“Team..Eager?” She repeated a third time but this time you did not entertain her by repeating yourself again.
“I'll fill out the form tomorrow, need to rest first.” And just like that, you vanished from the scene.
A swarm of thoughts rambled through your mind as you marched down the faintly familiar hallways. How long has it been since you last stepped foot in this place? Two weeks, or maybe four?
The missions pulled not just on your mental capacity but on your strength as well. Although it was an honor to be in team danger, it was a life you could no longer hold up.
Especially because..
“Fuck, no way.” A voice pulled you back to reality. A group of supporters stood in the middle of the hallway, one of them looking at you as if they were faced with death herself.
“What's the matter??”
“That's Y/n– what are you doing, don't look her into the eyes, moron!” Almost immediately, their heads lowered themselves, their gazes fixated on the floor while shakingly passing you by.
You remained silent, their attitude falling painful on your heart.
Noo..guys come back!
While it did not reflect on your face, a frown formed in your mind. This could have been the perfect opportunity to connect with your fellow supporters, especially now that you were going to go on more adventures together, yet your presence had intimidated them yet again.
You found it rather difficult to initiate a conversation and uphold it. Allowing the person to ramble and then jumping in, or being showered with questions and chatter– that was your preferred way of communication. Yet you never made it to that point, as no one bothered to give you the light of day.
With a soft pout on your lips, you continued the journey to your room.

“Wos vack?” Rudo's mouth being stuffed with pastries and sweets did not do his pronunciation any good. The others simply stared at him, chugging down the assembly of sweets collected in his mouth in utter shock. In one big chug, all goods were demolished, a sight to behold.
“Y/n..” Riyou said, slightly appalled by the display of left overs and crumbs on his face.
“Who?”
“You don't know jack shit, do ya?” Zanka fingers curled around the bowl of sweets, pulling it away from the teen.
“Hot chic from team Danger, a realll looker. What a shame she's barely around.”
“Although I do not want to encourage Enjin's description of her, she is indeed from team danger. And a hot shot actually. One of the strongest.”
“But her Jinki is..well..”
The lack of continuation and everybody's collective looks of uncertainty got Rudo curious.
“What's her Jinki??”
“Well, about that..” Riyou began.
“We don't even know for sure.” Zanka finished.
Rudo found himself taken aback by the new intel entering his mind. The others tried to explain– something about clinking noises and magical rings, but it all ended up confusing the poor boy even more. Yet the ramble had attracted a nearby listener.
“Her Jinki are her bracelets. Eight of them.” Tamsy interrupted the distorted mess. Immediately, all eyes locked onto the man who now sat down and joined the rest.
“They're a looker, and noisy too. Rumors once had it that they were completely made out of gold, but there was never any confirmation.”
Rudo nodded his head along and ate up all the new information Tamsy had to offer. Nobody asked the Blonde why he knew all these things about you, they themselves too intrigued by the details of your Jinki.
But before more words could spill from between his lips, a glassy melody crept up from down the hallway.
Everyone's gaze collectively turned to the door, where nothing but the sound of a presence stood, before a few seconds later, you appeared.
It was then and there when rudo understood what you meant.
The boy's eyes met with yours, your gazes locked and chained to one another. Slowly, you approached him, each step you took evoking feelings of deep respect and anxiety from his chest.
“So that’s the Spherite..”
“Yeah..that's our Rudo.” Riyou was the first to move, her hands shakingly wrapping around the boy's shoulder in an attempt to stop his freeze.
“Do all the people of team Danger act like that?” A supporter mumbled to their friend.
“All high and mighty? Bet. Being alone all the time must probably have an impact on their communication skills.” Their friend chuckled.
You didn't say any more, nor did you bother acknowledging the comments of the two supporters. Your eyes simply continued to scan the boy all over, until you found yourself satisfied. And just like that another word you walked away, the stares of the others digging through your skin as you disappeared. But at the last second you did turn back, not to look at Rudo but at the long haired individual next to him.
And the same eyes followed you even after you had left.
Tamsy tailed you into the hallway, his steps perfectly matching yours.
Something was drawing him towards you, the mystery that has been lingering on your skin ever since your first encounter. And paired with your sudden visit to the base his interest has been piqued.
His steps sounded no further. He knew, as keen as you were, he would only raise suspicion by tailing you much longer. And it seemed that he did at the right moment, as he ended up close to the entrance hall.
“Tamsy, good timing.” Semiu called out for him.
“There will be a few adjustments to the teams. I'm sure you have noticed the excessive presence haunting the hallways.”
Tamsy only nodded, unsure of where this conversation was going.
“To make things short, Y/n has requested to join team Eager.”
That indeed came out of the blue.
Tamsy's demeanor dropped, shifting into that of confusion. Why would you of all people request such a thing?
Semiu had expected Tamsy to react the way he did. She herself wished to have been able to give the man an answer to the questions that swirled in his mind but at the end of the day, it was what it was. She was just the messenger.
“I know the people of team danger tend to be rather..or better said seem unapproachable, but perhaps now is the best timing to establish a relationship with your newest member. If I recall correctly, the two of you have met before, right? That's already a start“
And with that said, the woman retreated and returned back to her sacred desk.
Well, isn't that interesting
It seemed like Tamsy had reason to continue pursuit after all.
Many questions laid on his mind, meanwhile his eyes tried to catch a glimpse of you again. The first time the two of you crossed paths was indeed on the battlefield. A mission that had gone sideways and seemed lost was saved by the very women he was now seeking out.
Despite having been there, Tamsy could barely remember the details of the fight. All of a sudden the trash beast dissolved into nothingness, defeated by the golden bracelets that decorated your wrist.
Ever since he has been curious to find out more about you, your image wandering through his mind from time to time. And now thanks to the shift of circumstances, that was finally possible.
Tamsy caught up to you moments before you were about to enter your bedroom. He wondered how you haven't said anything yet about him tailing you– perhaps you viewed him as another insignificance? A mere cleaner who was one of many.
Little did he know that you were practically shaking with frustration from the inside, your hands even unable to put the key into the keyhole.
Why is he following me..wait– does he know??
Your inside voice trembled with fear. You had noticed him right away. His steps faint and deceiving, yet almost overflowing with eagerness. But too afraid to face the man head up, you had simply pretended to not notice him. Although there was a part of you that wished to interact with him.
This could be my chance!..
So you took it.
Out of nowhere, you snapped your gaze towards Tamsy, with lingering eyes that had locked onto their target and refused to ease up. Tamsy couldn't look away even if he had wanted to, it was as if he was trapped in your gaze. But when nothing came from your side, he managed to ease up a little before clearing his throat.
“I was told that you are switching teams.” His usual, playful demeanor quickly took over.
Your bracelets chirped as you turned around to face the man fully, your heart flustered.
“Yes, that would be correct.” Was all you managed to get out, in that tasteless, bland tone of yours.
At the way this was going, you figured that Tamsy would seek distance from you any moment now, excusing himself from the situation like many did. Why did you even bother switching teams, what exactly had encouraged you to do so?
The previous interactions held with the others? That all ended with them scurrying away.
A long sigh escaped from between your lips, your back now turned away again from the blonde.
“I was quite surprised when Semiu told me. What exactly encouraged you to join my team?”
A question..
Halting in your steps, you allowed your fingers to lightly grace the door handle of your room yet you refrained yourself from opening it.
“A change of scenery..you could say.” Though still bland, your words came out a slight bit more saturated this time.
“I can imagine how lonely team danger must have been. Is your Jinki really that complicated?”
Tamsy pointed towards your bracelets.
“How exactly do they operate?”
“I..they get..”
“I hope I'm not bothering you with my questions, I'm just really fascinated by you guys.”
Questions piled themselves on questions, until you found yourself overstimulated by his words– but not in a bad way particularly.
With each answer you gave him, another question followed. Genuine interest lingered in his eyes, something you have seen so very rarely. Before you knew it the both of you were chatting heartily, finding joy in the nice conversation.
You even invited the man into your room (which luckily had been cleaned regularly during your absence.)
“So, your bracelets turn into rings of different sizes– depending on how big you want them to get, and you just squeeze the trash beasts to death by trapping them?”
“You make it sound so cruel.” You replied slightly flustered, but he did get it correct.
“These were given to me by my mother, who was a street performer. Not a single person that didn't fall victim to her charms. She had every passerby hooked, a truly talented queen.”
A sense of comfort swept over the room. Despite having just held your first, proper conversation, it felt as if you were talking to a life long friend. And to his surprise, Tamsy felt the same.
“I don't know if you remember, but when I first started out here, I was sent to aid your mission.”
“For sure I can remember. We would have been dead if it wasn't for you.”
His words drew a small smile on your lips.
“On our way back, you said something to me. It's silly bringing it up now, but I..well, I have been thinking about those words ever since.”
“'It would be nice having someone like you on my team' do you mean those words?”
Tamsy remembering the very sentence you had been holding on to for the past years drenched your heart in a foreign feeling. Before you would only dare look at him from a distance, like you did with anyone else, but being up close with him was an entirely different experience. One you wished to get used to.
“A Jinki that can only trap and hold hostage isn't given the time of day. Paired with me being from a team notorious for having a..certain representation, you can imagine what it's like trying to form bonds. Yet you didn't see me as such. It might sound sappy but it was rather sweet hearing you say that.”
For a moment, neither of you spoke into the room. Your words sank into his ears, where he quietly processed them. There was a sight change in his gaze, it mesmerized you.
"Well, aren't you quite the social butterfly?”
“I-huh?”
“I know what it's like to be frowned upon for being different and misunderstood, trust me. Down here we all get put into a box but that's not what we should get hung up on. I like people who have a different side to them and take the opportunity towards chance when possible. I like them a lot.”
And without saying anything else or waiting for your response, Tamsy lifted himself up and walked towards the door.
“We are going to have a wonderful time together.”
♡
Time went by rather fast here at the HQ. Missions that would have you clearing certain areas for days, now turned into one day expeditions with your team. Going out and fighting, for the very first time in a while, felt like a breeze.
On some days your team would be sent out to simply investigate areas and sometimes you were put into different teams when their missions seemed more dire.
Adjusting to coordinated attacks and undiscussed plans was the most difficult part of it all. You felt like the odd one out too many times, your strength holding you back rather than being of help to the team. Yet whenever you were down, there was a hand sending you warmth.
“Good job again, Y/n. These things seem to get scarier by the day, so it's good to have someone on the team who knows ball.” Tamsy's calm voice felt like a compass amongst all the chaos, although sometimes you didn't quite understand what he was saying.
“If you ever want to join team Akuta long term, feel free to do so.” Zanka, who had used the last of his breath to utter that sentence, chimed in.
“I'd lovee for you to be on my team.” You now felt another pair of hands on your shoulder but Tamsy quickly shoved them away.
“Hey!”
“Back off Enjin, Y/n's at peace with her decision.” Riyou sent you a reassuring smile.
The drives home were your favorite by far. After a long mission, when everyone had tasted exhaustion and was ready to end the day, the drive home felt like a well deserved reward. Silence engulfed the car and everyone relished in the sweet comfort of their seat.
Your eyes too wanted to give in to the tiredness, yet the sudden feeling of soft fingers poking against yours woke you right up. Tamsy's gaze continued to face the scenery ahead, the only thing indicating that he was well aware of his actions was the sly smile that sat on face.
You really enjoyed the view of this scenery
a/n: manga spoilers (non plot relevant)
