#silverstream #warrior cats #warriors #waca #graystripe #blood cw #finally finished this after a long bit! project for my graphic design class #i wont yap too much about fridging in warriors because theres not much else to say about it that others havent said better but #yeah idk its been hitting me hard lately its been really frustrating #and this piece specifically is me sort of grappling with the fact that its so prevalent in these books for children #that i read as a young girl #and i wont pretend that reading one cat book series with some fucked up misogynistic thing totally altered my brain chemistry bc thats not #how development works and stuff #and clearly i didnt grow up to be a woman hater or anything lmao but its more me thinking about how media and ofc the world is built to #teach you to value women less in subtle and unsubtle ways #and how ill never be able to put a finger on everything that taught me that and how of course i like to think that i know better but #how im sure my brain still works in messed up ways. all of ours do. its the systematic shit right #anyways #i know warriors isnt that deep but #thought id make art about it anyways!#also i really hope this post doesnt turn into people shouting about how much they hate graystripe. i hope people do not miss the point.#we shall see

Some comic practice! This is probably one of my favorite moments in the entire series, tbh. Graypaw's a stinker but we love him. (Also poor Willowpelt trying to have a nice walk with her two weird sons)

The background on this gave me so much trouble but I think it turned out alright!!

I really wanna get more comfortable with comics and would love to do more of these little 1-2 page scenes. And I'm feeling like I'm in a bit of a WC kick at the moment, so if there are any other scenes you think I should tackle, let me know!
