The Dask Steam Challenge: Intro
So for those of you who are unaware, for the past year or so there has been a Steam challenge floating about the internet. It can be found here. For those of you who are too lazy to click on the link and haven't heard of the challenge, I will summarize it for you:
Play every game in your Steam library fully through.
Play seven hours of games that don't have proper endings, per se.
For large RPG/Open sandbox games (read: Skyrim), you have to play through the main storyline and the main storylines of all the DLC that you have.
You can skip a game if you cannot fulfill the requirements (Such as being banned from multiplayer, computer not powerful enough, etc.).
You can play games out of alphabetical order in certain cases, such as subsequent titles in a series.
Now, I'm regrettably going to remove two games from my list of games to play through - Batman: Arkham Origins and Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag - because I have let's plays of them going that I haven't updated in a month and I want to leave them where they are in case I decide to go back to them. Otherwise, though, I will be staying true to the rules of the challenge.
So then, a list of games!
Assassin's Creed Revelations: I don't have any DLC, so a regular 100%.
Assassin's Creed III: This game is not actually in my Steam library as I bought a hard copy, but I'm including it on the list since it's spiritually in my Steam library (and to partially make up for the two games I'm not going to do).
Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTY Edition: Never played it, but I've played the other two main games in the series.
Batman: Arkham City GOTY Edition: Fully beaten once, almost fully beaten another time. Won't be doing the challenge maps.
BioShock: Started, never finished. Terrifying.
BioShock 2: Never played.
BioShock Infinite: Never Played.
Borderlands 2: Never Played. Have all DLC, I think.
Bully: Scholarship Edition: Played very little of.
Crusader Kings II: I have tons and tons of hours in this, easily my most played Steam Game.
Don't Starve: Played very little of this.
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion: Played very little of. All DLC.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim: Only beaten once. Might do a full playthrough. All DLC.
Europa Universalis IV: Played a bit.
Fallout: New Vegas: Played Very Little of.
Far Cry 3: Played through the tutorial, no more.
Garry's Mod: Not sure what I'll do with this one. Does it even really count as a game? (Note: I have barely played it.)
LA Noire: Played, never beaten, but I have seen a Let's Play.
LEGO Lord of the Rings: Beaten once.
LEGO MARVEL Superheroes: Beaten the Storyline once.
Maplestory: I will likely be starting a new character.
Mirror's Edge: This game is tough as nails, especially if doing a no guns run. I've played through about 65% or so of it.
Portal 2: Also fantastic. Will do multiplayer with someone (Read: rjmachine3) if possible.
Quantum Conundrum: Played through most of it. Not sure if I'll go for 100% or not.
Saints Row: The Third: Which I'm going to play before...
Saints Row IV: , because their titles are out of alphabetical order.
Civilization IV: Listed as Sid Meier's Civilization IV. Never Played.
Civilization V: Same as above. Thinking of doing a mod.
Spore: Setting the Goal of wiping out the Grox.
Stacking: incredibly boring, do not recommend.
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic: Played very little.
Terraria: Setting the ending point as soloing the Frost Moon (Or a harder moon if a new one's introduced).
Torchlight II: I... have this? I don't even remember purchasing it. I guess it was a gift?
Victoria II: Also rather tough.
Anyways, I'll be posting pictures and progress updates on this blog under the tag 'dask steam challenge' as well as 'dask steam challenge (game name)' for individual games.
Thanks to rjmachine3 for introducing me to this.
Without further ado, it's off to Konstantiniyye!
