[Real Japan News] The full event card was announced for the upcoming show on April 27 at the Korakuen Hall. 

The First Tiger Mask formally announced that the main event of the show will feature Shinjiro Otani defending the Legend Championship belt against Super Tiger. Super Tiger stated that it has been over a year and a half since he has held the belt within his grasp, losing to Masakatsu Funaki, but after a self fulfilling 2016, namely competing in All Japan, he looks to overcome yet another challenge set before him. That being reclaiming the Legend belt back for his home promotion of Real Japan.

[RJPW News] It was announced that Daisuke Sekimoto will be defending the Legends Championship against Masakatsu Funaki on June 23 at the Korakuen Hall.

This will be rematch from their last title match on December 9 of last year, in which Sekimoto captured the belt from Funaki. Funaki has declared that he will not let the same thing happen twice as he now knows what to expect in terms of Sekimoto’s superhuman strength. Sekimoto stated that Funaki’s self-confidence is what he wants to see for a title match, and he will not be taking the veteran lightly. Especially after the outcome of the last match. Funaki is looking for revenge from the loss while Sekimoto always aims to prove himself as a fighting champion.
