THE SAMSUNG COMMERCIALS ARE FINALLY AIRING!
The announcement is made over breakfast in both the Seocho Complex and the five company buildings alike: the commercials trainees filmed for Samsung’s Galaxy A7 series in March will begin airing starting Friday, in the spirit of the holiday season. Each commercial will air on Korea’s main television channels at least twice in the next month, and will continue to air periodically for the next six months. Commercials that suit each season will be aired more frequently during each season they suit, while commercials with no seasonal theme will air at about the same rate during the six month period. The commercials will make rare appearances on television networks all over the world as well, and as ads preceding Youtube videos based on each viewer’s Youtube history. All commercials will be uploaded onto the Samsung Mobile Youtube channel as well.
The commercials will closely follow the concepts outlined in this post, with information about the Galaxy A7 with a clean design expertly spliced in between the shots of the trainees. Throughout the year, the information and editing in the commercials will change based on Samsung’s current promotions and deals, but they’ll contain the same scenes of the trainees, though shorter versions of each commercial will air as well.
Trainees featuring in the commercials will be listed in the fine print of every commercial, including their names and the company they were under contract with at the time of the commercial filming. The fine print will also show the time the commercials were filmed: March 2017. This means when the commercials air, all featured trainees will be public trainees under the Samsung Group! A lot can change in several months though, and the public has no way of knowing if everyone featured in these commercials are still currently under their companies (yet, anyway). Those not presently under contract with Samsung will receive minimal screen-time compared to those who are still trainees.
All trainees involved in the commercials are reminded by company staff to present a clean image to the public, both on SNS and anywhere they appear, as the commercials air. More eyes will be on them than before! (This isn’t a bad lesson for trainees who won’t be shown in the commercials, either.)
