This is a landmark song of Film industry. Having a distinction of having the largest orchestra ever. Even after this till date no music director in India ever handled this level of orchestra.

Rehearsal started at 11am at Famous Tardeo Rec studio. Since large section of chorus was made to sit outside the studio hall due to lack of space, the final recording take was done at 3am when there was no traffic sound. Mumbai nights were quite in 1961.

Credit to Recordist Minoo Katrak for recording this orchestra on 6 mics. Credit to the musicians and Singers to perform it in a continuous uncut recording. Facility of multitrack or audio punching like present day was not there. Singers today sing line by line, but that was the golden era when songs were created with passion by giving all out performance by all.
