Today I’m screaming lovingly about one of my favorite BTS fic writers. This interview series is my attempt to celebrate creativity, community, and the beautiful chaos that is writing about seven men who fundamentally altered our brain chemistry.

I first discovered Emily a few years ago during one of my monthly fic rec spirals, and honestly? I can’t even remember if she read one of my fics first or if I simply nosedived headfirst into hers—but that part doesn’t really matter. What does matter is the absolute sweetheart of a human that is Emily 🥹 Her writing is funny, heartwarming, and genuinely so good it should come with a warning label, and beyond that, she gives so much back to the Tumblr BTS fandom. From her monthly recs celebrating all kinds of chaotic Bangtan creativity (gifs, writing, graphic design—you name it), to the constant love she shows fellow creators, she’s truly a gem. My all-time favorite fic of hers is How To Train Your Human (knj), which permanently rewired my brain chemistry and altered my personality forever. She’s incredibly talented, endlessly kind, and I could not imagine a better person to kick this off—so please give the warmest, loudest welcome to Emily, the very first writer featured in Feral Fic Hours ✨💜

Lissa: You are going to make me cry! Okay, I have to start with the questions, so here’s the first one: what made you start writing BTS fanfiction?
Rkiveslibrary: I've always loved writing for fandoms and have always had so many ideas. The BTS writing community was just so fun and filled with so many creative people I wanted to be apart of that.
Lissa: Awww, that’s very understandable! I’m so happy to hear that you’ve found lovely community and friends on here. Is there something that fanfiction has given you, that you didn’t expect?
Rkiveslibrary: For me honesty. Friends. I have met some of the most incredible people though writing fanfiction. Not only through cheering on their work but having people to bounce ideas off of and fangirl with has been wonderful!
Lissa: … and know you’ve made me cry *sniffling* that is so sweet and I second that experience! Okay, before I lose sight of the interview. So. What part of yourself do you think sneaks into your writing the most?
Rkiveslibrary: I like to keep things light and goofy so I find a lot of silly jokes or just silly ideas come into play.
Lissa: That’s also one of the things that I really love about your writing, and I hope other people will too. If you had to describe your writing style in three unhinged words, what would they be?
Rkiveslibrary: Creative, horny, wild.
Lissa: 🤣🤣🤣 I can see that, yes. When you write, do you write chronologically or jump between scenes?
Rkiveslibrary: Chronological for sure. I'm someone who has a hard time putting a fic down and picking it up later (with reading and writing) so there have been moments where I have sat there for over seven hours writing a fic because I just HAVE to finish it all in one go.
Lissa: Seven hours straight, you’re writing like it was your regular job 🤧 I have the same urge though, so I really relate to this. I think this also perfectly highlights the amount of work you put into your writing! Which is another thing I’m curious about, but I’ll save that for another question, so first: who is your bias, bias wrecker, and the one who accidentally owns your soul?
Rkiveslibrary: I started as a Taehyung bias but always said I had a "soft spot" for Namjoon (before I knew what a bias wrecker was) Now I'd say I'm a Tae bias. A Namjoon wrecker and Yoongi is my strong #3
Lissa: Ooohh I feel you! Okay. If Bangtan were moots, who’d reblog everything you post?
Rkiveslibrary: Jimin, because I feel like he's the kind of person who would be really supportive. Also Jungkook because we are both down bad for Namjoon.
Lissa: I feel that’s so accurate! I can just imagine Jungkook reblogging everything as a thirsttrap lol. Or him having a huuuge ass archive for how bad he’s got it for Namjoon. And Jimin being supportive, oh yes, I think that’s spot on. Okay, the last thing I wanna ask you, and I’m gonna circle back to one of the earlier ones, is, what’s one thing you wish readers knew about the effort behind fic writing?
Rkiveslibrary: How long it takes. For me personally an 8K fic can take anywhere from eight to ten hours to complete by the time I write it out, edit it, edit it again, and get the post ready for tumblr.
Lissa: Girl that’s so long! (also same, writing takes time!!!). I wish more people would understand this too. How much time and energy goes into writing fics. I’m glad you wanted to join the fandom and that you wanted to be interviewed for one of my silly new ideas 🥹 I’m really happy that I found you on this platform, and I truly hope that more people discover you and get to read your amazing and funny stories!!!

He came over to the estate this weekend and they all had a cozy pizza making evening together where they were all cozied up in the kitchen. Yoongi was in charge of the dough & the oven. Hoseok and OC did the tomatoe sauce. Jimin was on cutting duty and Tae & Kook did the decorating (mostly Tae while Kook tried to stop him before he went overboard bahahhaha). Seokjin and Emma were on video chat with them once they ate and later, Yoongi even brought a pizza to Namjoon 🥺
