Jongsuk was eager to get some work done for the evals at seocho before the evals actually happened. he was good on his vocals and everything, it was just his dancing that he needed to work on. he would have worked with his fellow trainees from trc but he was already seeing them every day at the company, that he kind of had enough of them for the time being. so he slipped on his converse sneakers and headed to a practice room in seocho.
he wandered the halls, looking around for an empty practice room. he peeked into one room and stepped in, since it was empty. he set aside his bag and put on his headphones and began dancing. single steps, turns, and shuffles. jongsuk had the music in his ears and the floor beneath his feet. it was like he was off in his own little world, enough to not even notice people come in.
Stereotypes and prejudice usually wasn’t a good way to navigate, but sometimes it was all you had to go by. Telling an entirely new person who didn’t know the faces of anyone in the building that he should go find his new teacher in dance after breakfast monday was very handy when he didn’t remember the face of the man. Jinwoo had no idea where to even start, and the more he thought about it, the more terrifying this whole ordeal became. Sure he had allowed himself lots of time because he knew it was going to be mission impossible. Sure he wasn’t about to let down anyone at least within the next 15 minutes, but those seemed like they could easily tick away quite fast.
Instead he laid eyes on a person he vaguely remembered having seen about the building before in the past short time he had been there. No matter how you looked at it, his appearance didn’t really scream idol, so he didn’t think the other would be a fellow trainee. There was a chance, and a chance was all he needed right now. “Excuse me!” he called out to the obviously older male and ran the short distance to catch up. He then bowed his upper body in a rigid and very awkward manner. “Are you the one I need to find? I was... I was told that I have to meet my dance instructor today, but I’m not really sure I caught the name and I can’t remember what he looked like. I was kind of nervous...” The last bit was admitted reluctantly, but if the man really was his dance teacher, he had no way out of explaining why he had to hit him up in such a way.
Kris wanted to be happy for everyone who made it into ktrookies. he wanted to be happy, so he congratulated everyone with a big smile and a 'you worked hard. good job'. it was easy to put on a smile, to say congratulations. Kris had to do that everyday, he knew how to act like he was glad. But on the inside, he was frustrated. Was he really not worth all that much? It would have been easier if everyone who made it had been older trainees, but no, there were people who were signed at the same time as Kris and he felt upset. What did they have that he didn’t?
He was aiming to find Gary , because at least the older would know his feelings. they were signed at the same time and both were rappers. maybe talking with him would make kris feel better. seeing gary, he waved. “yo, man.” he said, sitting down across him.

Jongsuk was a vocalist and he enjoyed being in the spotlight, but for the sake of the eval, he stepped back and allowed the rapper to shine. He wasn’t a rapper and Gary’s style was inspiring. He wished he could rap like that becasue that there was something that he just couldnt evoke. He couldn’t be that cool. It was a special skill that he had. He really liked being Gary’s partner for this eval, because he got a chance to see up close his style. As they started their performance, Jongsuk watched the other rap. It was an r&b style song and he was very into it. He liked the slow cool off beat rapping. But he wasn’t going to let himself be set back.
He began singing. His soulful voice was meshing well with the song and the off beat rapping. He had to stand out himself.
The 27th night, I just walked without purpose that night
I stood idle under a street light, without knowing where to go
The 27th night, I looked pathetic
If I opened my eyes, I would have been caught
I remember those days, that night
He sang with soul, not allowing himself to fall behind. He then listened to Gary rap. It was great listening to the man rap. It was absolutely great listening to him. It came part to his chorus again and he again took the soulful chance. He sang a bit and still managed to shine next to the other man. He still held his own. He was managing to be really good and great while being cool. When they finished the song, he grinned. That was great. He was enjoying this eval and he was sad that it was over already.
“That was really fun. Hey, hyung, would it be possible for you to teach me how to be a cool rapper like you?” he asked
Kris had seen the older rapper around during the mgas and after even. They had both competed at the rapper’s weekend for KT/Royal Contest, only Kris had won. But the other male was still signed as well. However, he had been busy and he didn’t have any time to greet anyone who joined at the same time and after. He knew people but he wasn’t very familiar with them. However, finally at lunch one day, he had slowed down enough to actually socialize with people. He had issues talking to people but he was trying to get over it. He was sitting at a table, eating a bowl of soup. Footsteps in front of him forced him to look up. He blinked and casually just kept eating. The seat across him wasn’r even taken so anyone could sit there. Kris was just too creepy with his resting bitch face and resting bad face as well. Not many people wanted to be firends with an intimidating giant. “I have been meaning to congratulate you on getting in as well, Gary-sshi.” he said.
