● convex debut plan; edition; 6.2 second skill song choice; young&free; x status; i’m beginning to feel like a rap god
the whole month had been going way too well for jihoon, it had begun to slightly worry him. maybe it was the fact that the teaser was posted to the public, or his three month anniversary with joshua, or the fact that he was finally and fully himself and so close to where he wants to be.
he just wasn’t sure but even after their ceo’s words, of her not being sure he skipped sessions, he still felt motivated and willing to try harder. he always wanted to try harder.
this month isn’t any different but he has to rap, and in all honestly he did skip on this skill quite a bit because he thought, that he would be forced to sing, aka be a back up vocal but no.
it did take a bit more time and effort to get everything correct, formation, words, speed, teamwork, jihoon always liked teamwork and it was a good thing to have especially with about 13 people under a single group, he felt bad for yixing in a way. no one seemed to want to open up about anything, ever, and it probably showed when someone was a tad bit more on edge than others.
however, that was another thing for another day as his unit got up in front of baek jiyoung yet again to perform and be evaluated on everything they had done and learned this month, or tried to, who knew.
it was a lighhearted song, something cheerful that jihoon wasn’t perticularly in love with but he had been doing so much of this concept it was so nice getting used to it. even if his personality wasn’t something that matched it, he liked it. it brought a charm out of everyone, some who are more stubborn than others /jihoon himself/ and some that did it naturally.
and so the song began and they all did their own thing, the same moves and gestures that all drilled into their bodies, just a while before jihoon had to step up front and rap. rap, for the first time in months.
rhythm got my hair flipping 바람 불듯이 어깨를 양쪽 Sway 하며 맞춘 걸음걸이 가볍게 입고 나와 붕 뜰 것처럼 말야 이 위치에서 숨 쉬는 산소부터가 달라
they were all in pairs with each other; jihoon and yixing, ten and kibum. so they stayed close like that, just keeping it in mind as the song progressed.
just as quickly he delivered his first verse, he delivered the last line, a thick british accent lacing with the english as it did with all the previous bits.
hey, come with me
he says, grinning a bit, as he waves baek jiyoung over politely as if inviting her to have fun with them.
it sounds stupid, really, but at that same point, jihoon realized how much he wanted people to see him enjoy being on stage and they to enjoy it as much as he did. he wanted to be entertaining to watch and wanted to interact with the audience. as much as possible.
jihoon wanted that.
