Bad Service // Ailee & Yubin

It had been a long time since she came out to eat, it had been a while she spent time with her mama. In the end, they picked a small place where she wouldn't be noticed too much, it was pretty nice. Other then the shades she wore, her outfit was something presentable. To top if off, there were only two other tables, so there wasn't any fan fairing, all in all it was a good day, a day she needed. Nothing could go wrong, expect for the service. Had been a busy day, she would have understood. She really would have.

But it wasn't busy at all and their sever seemed as if she didn't want to be at work at all. Yubin could feel the girls tip losing dollars by the second and she really didn't care. Someone they had managed to get their appetizers, but still left without a drink, the first thing they ordered. It was starting to irritate her, "When will we get our drinks?" She muttered to her mother as they watched their server pass. "It's not as if she has a job to do I guess."

So maybe Choi Youngjae preferred the company of animals to people and maybe he was totally infatuated with the dogs that he was often hired to watch over and just maybe he had been a little too excited to take them out for a walk today. Well, Kangi was snuggled safely in his arms and Somi was doing most of the actual walking. Youngjae didn’t mind holding the pup though, it gave him an excuse to ignore the human beings and just ramble on about nothing to the little dog who occasionally blinked at him as if she actually understood.

He kept Somi of a shorter lead than she probably would have liked, not quite trusting the friendly pup not to get herself into some sort of trouble even tethered to him. Though Youngjae chattered away to Kangi, he kept a careful eye on Somi lest she get accidentally trampled or tried to eat something that dogs shouldn’t ingest.

Bless Yejin for having such adorable dogs and for letting Youngjae spend this much time with them. If it were him, then he might get jealous for fear that his dog might start to like their sitter better than their owner.

Youngjae had to shift Kangi into one arm, careful to support her rear and hind legs, as he bought a cup of coffee from a little kiosk that always seemed to have good business. Maybe Hongdae was a little more crowded than usual this time of year, but Youngjae was also growing more accustomed to crowds. He was a born introvert, but there was a certain appeal to disappearing into a crowd that will just keep swelling and shrinking as people go in and out. He was in it right now, but at any moment he could just walk right out with one puppy in his arms and the other trotting along at his heels.

Somi wasn’t tired yet, so it looked like they were going to be part of the crowd for a little bit longer.

dog days || youngjae&yejin

He had always liked dogs. Well, really Youngjae liked animals in general but having an allergy to cats kinda narrowed down his options for preferred pets. So when Yejin texted him that they should meet up in the dog cafe, he couldn’t have been more excited. Not only had she volunteered to buy his meal, but she was bringing Somi and Kangi and the boy was basically in love with those pups.

When Youngjae pushed open the cafe door, a thousand different scents hit even his human nose. There was that warm, sweet coffee smell of a cafe combined with the odor of several different dogs of different ages and breeds and sizes (and states of cleanliness) that was never quite masked by whatever air freshener the cafe liked to use. Youngjae thought it was a good smell anyways and that anyone who thought otherwise obviously didn’t like dogs all that much and shouldn’t be in a place like this anyways.

Sometimes he thought about Nana. He would have liked to bring her here if she hadn’t passed away back in Mokpo. Youngjae missed that little beagle; she was wickedly smart and the sweetest thing he had ever known. he shook off thoughts about her with a sigh, instead looking around to see if Yejin and her dogs had made it here before him.
