1. Asking someone for clarification about wrongdoing is called civility. Its how you open a fucking dialogue. If I had said “FUCK OFF why should I?” Then saying you were right to ask would have some merit. Being a dick, because you assume Im just another racist, is on you, not me.
If you had said “Hey. I think TH is problematic because of Taboo. Please delete my post.” I’d have said, yeah, I agree. That’s cool. Didnt mean any offense - deleted.
2. I realize that Taboo is not perfect. I have a lot of problems with him claiming JKD is half-native american with not a native american in sight on cast. I am hoping, DEARLY, that he adds more actual Native elements to season 2 or its just cultural appropriation at this point. Using the nword was also shocking. I dont know his rationalizing behind it - but thats not MY fight.
3. As a QUEER ASIAN FEMALE I know something about whitewashing, so dont come at me like black people are the only ones suffering. You know how many asians are in Hollywood? You can probably count them on your hands. Asians being whitewashed in Hollywood IS MY FIGHT. I dont expect other people to agree with me. If someone wants to start a conversation about it I’m all for it. Do something constructive with your energy instead of coming after people that are just trying to pass some time.
