I got to the theatre too late to see (again, because I think the movie can be hilarious if watched once every year and a half, roughly) The Room but Tommy Wiseau walked past me and when he came back I, cheered on by @gallusrostromegalus, bought a dvd and he autographed it and an employee took a couple of photos. We shook hands and I told him I was sorry for missing the movie but I had work and he thanked me for coming, so I told him thank you for making the movie and that I had saw it a few times. He drew a dedication with a heart on my dvd and he even got my name written right, which usually nobody ever does. Now dinner with dim sum and then back to the theatre for the showing of The Goonies.

Wrong Number

So this story is a few years old, but it still gets a laugh out of anyone I tell it to, and is honestly one of my favorite stories I have about my Great Grandmother.

One day she got a random phone call, and as soon as she picked up and said ‘Hello?’ the person on the other line said, ‘Hi, Grandma.’ Now my grandmother immediately heard the male voice and assumed it was one of my cousins and answered, ‘Oh hello Sean! How are you?’

They go through a couple lines of kinda sorta small talk before the guy on the other line says, ‘So Grandma, I got into a bit of trouble with the police. I was wondering if you could send me some money to help out?’

My grandmother then said, in a very confused tone, ‘But Sean, you are the police.’

I’m sure that scam artist had never hung up a call so quickly in his life.

So me and two friends went to go see Wonder Woman a few nights ago (it was really good btw) and I was driving them home. My friend is Skyping his boyfriend when we notice that the girl in the car is starting pretty intensely at guy friend, which is freaking him out. All of a sudden he starts screaming and we're like 'wtf' and he says 'THAT'S MY EX BOYFRIEND'S BEST FRIEND!' and we're like 'THAT'S [REDACTED]???' and he nods and our friend in the back seat screams 'DRIVE' and we take off, all three of us screaming. Meanwhile his boyfriend is like 'what the fuck is going on'

I'm at a pub with a big group of friends and talking with my BFF. Another friend is sitting next to her and interrupts our conversation:

Friend: Is this Black Sabbath? I've been trying to figure out what's playing but the chatter is too loud.

Me: Yes, it's War Pigs, see? "Dun dun! Dun dun duun, duun, dun dun!"

BFF (continuing the conversation): Anyway, not to be paranoid but...

Me: No, I just said it's War Pigs, Paranoid is a different song!

So, for a few weeks now, while doing laundry, we have been noticing coathangers and clothes pegs which are evidently not ours, since they look very different and are made out of plastic, not fibre, like ours are. One of the new clothes pegs even has paint on it, so there's no mistaking it as something we own.

Now, someone must have been sneaking them in while we didn't notice: which meant that someone had to scale our perimeter wall, then jump inside the garden, and then climb up onto our first floor terrace while we didn't see a hair of them in the daytime. Oh, and the neighbour's dog acts as a neighbourhood burglar alarm system, so not even a stray leaf goes where it shouldn't without everyone being immediately notified about it.

It was my mom who claimed that she saw the thief - no, unknown laundry benefactor - in the act one day and told us about it.

It was a crow.

Or specifically, crows that we feed on the terrace, who my mom spotted wrenching off clothes pegs from the neighbour's wash (yikes) and then triumphantly carrying it over to ours. My mom claims she even saw the crow put the peg on, the RIGHT WAY, so that it stayed on the clothesline.

My estimate is that it must have taken TWO crows to actually carry the coathangers since they are far too large for one crow... or, who am I even kidding, maybe it WAS that one crow who was fetching everything...

Anyway, now we are in a fix. We can't very well go up to our neighbours and return the items saying: sorry, but crows stole these coathangers and clothes pegs and put them on OUR line, and we only know this because we saw crows removing them from your wash, and so, please take good care of them and invest in crow-proof clothes pegs? Because we are 100% sure that this will happen again.

Anyway, will update to report how this goes.
