If you're in the USA, today might be a big day! I'm in washington state, and our ballots come in the mail and can be dropped off at a million different drop boxes or the mail. For a lot of the rest of the country, you might have to stand in a long line today. In any case, remember to drop off your ballot or head to the polls and cast your vote! HERE is a refresher on your rights on election day. Namely, if you're in line when the polls close, stay in line--you have the right to vote. If machines are down, ask for a paper ballot. Finally, let me be incredibly clear. I speak only for myself, and I'm the only one running this blog, and my politics are radically liberal. This is obviously a call to vote, but it's also a call to vote for Harris. If you vote for the republican party nominee this year, if you try to spout uninformed bullshit on this or any of my posts, if you try to stop or otherwise demoralize citizens from voting: I'll block you before you can say "dictatorship". These raccoons are not for you, and they never were. You must have a flagrant disregard for human life and rights, and you have my pity but that's all. Seek therapy.

Askbox Trick or Treat is open!

Happy Halloween! In a DailyRaccoons first, I'll be doing askbox trick or treating this year! Treats will receive a raccoon or raccoon product, and tricks will receive...well...you'll see ;) HOW IT WORKS: - Send an ask that says "Trick or Treat!" or some variation of that. I'll randomly decide to give you a treat (a picture of a raccoon, or a picture of a raccoon product) OR a trick (a picture of something that is NOT a raccoon) That's all! - It's encouraged to NOT use anonymous asks for this game, but I'm not going to turn my nose up either :) - I work a 9-5 and have people coming over for a party so at a certain point I will have to stop responding to trick r treats haha. Expect a roundup tomorrow of ones I don't get to! I'll be posting a lot today so if you don't want to see all the nonsense, block the tag "DailyRac trick or treat" as they'll all be tagged with that! Alternatively block the tag "notdaily" if you ONLY ever want the day's raccoon :)

HEY CREW.....BEEN A BIT, HUH? So sorry for the absence! Turns out Raccoon Man has ✨clinical depression✨ and was not, in fact, "occasionally just really stressed and tired" So blame my unmedicated depression for the raccoon drought! I'm filling the queue as we speak, and I'm planning on going through some of the asks that I've gotten and responding, now that I have MEDICATED depression. Please feel free to send in more, because I'll definitely feel weird responding to super old asks! In the meantime, stay safe and happy everyone. Surprise!!! By the time this scheduled post...posts, I'll be just getting out of top surgery. I'll be out of commission for a few days at least while I rest and resettle and recover, but rest assured the queue will still be going.
