Day 1: Zürich, Switzerland 🇨🇭 🛬 We landed after 8 am...and after most of our group couldn’t sleep on the plane. We’re still smiling, though! 😄 We got started right away with a quick walking tour of Zürich (mostly churches ⛪️) in the morning and a boat ride ⛴ around Lake Zürich in the afternoon. We drove over an hour into the countryside to our hotel, which gave us these cows 🐮 and beautiful views ⛰. Day 11: Paris, France 🇫🇷 Last day in Paris! We took a bus tour of the city so we could see the highlights of the city. Then we had the opportunity to go to the Louvre to appreciate the art, including the Mona Lisa. After dinner, we got to see the Eiffel Tower at night. And just like that, our tour of Switzerland, Italy, and France is over! Tomorrow we travel our separate ways. To my travel buddies: Thanks for a great trip! Day 9: Eze & Nice, France 🇫🇷 and Monaco 🇲🇨 We first visited Eze, France to learn how perfume is made. Then we visited Monaco, where 30% of the residents are millionaires. Day 8: Pisa, Italy and the Italian Riviera 🇮🇹 We visited Pisa in the morning. The baptistery has an awesome echo that sounds really beautiful when someone sings (listen to the video). The church had ornate art and decor, and we learned that the Leaning Tower of Pisa is the bell tower for the church. After lunch, we started the long drive to head to our next destination. However, the ride was made longer by an hour and a half detour due to the demolishing of a bridge on our way, followed later by an accident that had us stopped in a tunnel for another extended period of time. Estimated time of arrival at the hotel is now pushed back to 10 pm (when it was originally 6 pm). But the ride along the Italian Riviera was pretty! Day 7: Florence, Italy 🇮🇹 Today we visited Firenze, which is Italian for Florence. In our free time, some of us saw the Duomo (thanks for the pictures, Jami!), which was the fancy church with the dome. Others of us saw the Uffizi, which held many pieces of art from the Renaissance.
