Ramona's Poems #2
I came upon three individuals of distinct nature upon my arrival, and the testament is to their force of personality that I remember them well on this island of space bending mages and a forest with a will of rage.
The one who stands by the fireplace, even as he sits he shows the life of battle he has lived. In this time of peace, what must his life have been to have the temperament of a warrior? As he looks into the fire it's as though he just stares back at himself.
Then the one who seems to be in some ways scholar and others mad genius, he studies magic like a science and he seems to regard people just the same. It's like he knows more of us by looking than by speaking. What he is to do from here, I worry.
The one at the kitchen, I feared for her clock. For she tore it apart and every place lay upon the island like a corpse. When she put it back together I never expected her to gut the clock again. I fear to see whether she can only do that to machines, or if she has the same skill with people.
There is still one who's left to join us, and I hope they are just as remarkable as my dorm mates here. Even a place as magical as Nellis, I'm sure I would only remember it for so long were the people here not just as magical.
