REVISED - Operator [5/6]

I like to think (right now, please!) of a cybernetic forest filled with pines and electronics where deer stroll peacefully past computers as if they were flowers with spinning blossoms.

A faceless, formless voice that carries through speakers merged into city walls, Attollo's Operator has always been the eyes on the sky - and just about every other corner and alley. The most recent Operator is no different, constantly raising and dropping barriers like the city is his own personal labyrinth.

Standing as the only neutral party in the city, Operator is not sworn to anyone. Not Suha, not Dorian, nor Dreamwalker and Sysba. Operator has always believed in the impartial judgement of 'preserving the most lives', even if that means a few pieces of CI need to be destroyed. Unfortunately, the wayward traveler is not always spared his decisions.

An anxious wreck behind the screens. Operator only emerges at night, and although he is technologically gifted, he sorely lacks in actual human social skills. Between the hum of the machines and the purring of his beloved cat, he sees no need to associate with people. After all, he watches them all day, every day.

Although, perhaps it's his own personal history that's preventing him from forming actual long-lasting connections. Who knew that could happen?

Spotting Operator is like spotting a cryptid in the wild. He moves so fast he's a blur (because he's trying to go hide again), and when he is caught, he freezes like a deer in headlights. The thing is, he really is just a guy.

Standing at about 5'7 (he insists), Operator wears a black face mask, a strange pair of glasses that look more like a visor, and a ball cap that does little to contain his unruly auburn curls. His skin is bone white from the painful lack of any light he gets (screens not counting) and he has a rather lean frame. The baggy sweaters and cargo pants don't help, of course.

Utterly brilliant and utterly hard to get to, Operator continues to diligently serve the city, although one may question if this is really the life he envisions for himself.

REVISED - Dreamwalker [1/6]

Little Lamb who made thee? Dost thou know who made thee? 

A prodigal son who has all but forgotten his origins, Dreamwalker has become an iconography of the darkest corners Attollo holds. Serving as the voice and eyes of Ovo when its grotesque founder is absent, Dreamwalker's words are taken as the only law the Undercity follows.

Though his motives remain scarcely known beyond a handful of those he trusts, including Desdemona and Sysba, it is apparent to the lawful denizens and the unlawful that what he may be planning is a swan song of rapturous proportions. Or that was his plan, until an unexpected arrival has cut his song short.

Tired, and famished. Dreamwalker knows no sleep himself, although he thrives in the realm of the dreaming. With powers that include sleep manipulation, which permits him to puppet a dream to his liking, Dreamwalker also carries perception manipulation to hide what he truly looks like. Despite this, he still adorns a mask covering the upper half of his face as a precaution.

Dreamwalker's features are not known by many of the Attollo denizens. He has been seen by Sysba, W, Desdemona, and whoever knew him before his leader burned this moniker into his being.

He is tall, however, and stands at about 6'4". He has a broader frame that implies he once lived a life of activity, though he is rarely seen now. The sparse bit of skin that can be seen is deeply tanned in color, though it is his eyes that capture the most attention. Golden and without pupils, they glow like twin suns, cutting through the shadows to reveal all that may try to hide. He possesses dark wavy hair, cut short and pushed back to allow his mask to sit comfortably.

Outside of the ominous aura, one could easily mistake him as a mere businessman on the go. They do say the most dangerous is the one you notice the least.

REVISED—Suha Sobhi [4/6]

Not one would mind, neither bird nor tree If mankind perished utterly; And Spring herself, when she woke at dawn, Would scarcely know that we were gone.

Nature is often touted as a means of healing. Green walks, escapes to the sea side, and moments in the sun are considered holistic cures to the ailments of human kind. Nature, however, can also be one of the most vicious bringers of punishments - which is precisely what Suha Sobhi is like. The adopted sibling of the infamous Crowes, Suha stands as a beacon of judgement in the Attollo courts (or at least what passes as court).

Fiercely protective of her brother, Alexander, and with a disdain for certain individuals (like Sysba) that is fully unmatched, Suha believes that compliance with law and order is the only way to survive in this city. This doesn't mean that she hasn't been vocal about her brother Markos methods, however, nor the history surrounding Attollo's prison, Carcosa. Perhaps an outside perspective can see where she's coming from.

Gifted with a powered ability that permits her to manipulate nature, Suha seeks to de-stress herself by indulging in her gardens and greenhouses. There, she combines her love of horticulture with her love of experimentation, creating new breeds of plants that probably should have been left to the science fiction novels. Despite her powered abilities having no ties with her careers, Suha still manages to use them as a sword of Damocles above those who test her - namely, her older brother and sister.

Unlike Dreamwalker and Dorian, Suha sees no need to wear a mask to conceal herself from the world. She knows how she is perceived in the eyes of the world around her, and likes to make sure they know exactly how she perceives them, as well - right down to the minuscule expressions.

Standing at about 5'6", Suha can be considered as an average woman at first glance. Her side passion in the fashion industry allows her to style herself immaculately, often coordinating her hijab to match her outfit and her jewelry. She has dark skin and dark brown eyes that seem to strip an individual of every barrier they possess. Often, she adorns rings and earrings, and she wears a pair of reading glasses for the many documents she's forced to sift through.

Suha is proud of her position as a Judge for the Crowes Court, and genuinely seeks to better the city of Attollo - even if her siblings may appear to want otherwise at times.

REVISED—Sysba/'Ymnar [3/6]

O sun, to tell thee how I hate thy beams, That bring to my remembrance from what state I fell; how glorious once above thy sphere; Till pride and worse ambition threw me down.

There is a profoundness in the act of patricide that is rarely spoken of. To sever the bond to a parent so violently, so viciously. Rare few complete such a task, and Sysba wears this badge like a medal of honor. Alongside their badges of 'population control' and 'proud owner of the closest thing to a legal gambling ring someone can hold in Attollo', of course.

A Lovecraftian wet dream with an allergy to your routine burger, Sysba is a member of Ovo and the horror that haunts Dreamwalker's dreams (and bank account). They love themself above all else and would gleefully wipe out the entire city if they could, Dorian and Co. included. Maybe it wasn't such a good idea for you to visit their club?

To sit down and describe Sysba's abilities would be akin to describing abstract art. Only the artist can tell you the meaning, and in this case, the artist is giving 20+ interpretations. Shapeshifter, world-warper, Hannibal Lecter in heels, and trying their best to hide the several dozen tentacles their true form holds, the status of 'eldritch nightmare' has enabled Sysba many tricks.

Unfortunately, getting out of Attollo is not one of them.

As a deity, Sysba can take many different forms, from the common gecko to a sea monster, if they so choose. They change genders as they please and re-style their hair at least once a day.

Commonly, they're seen as an individual of Korean descent, standing at about 6' in all forms. They have dark hair either cut short and pushed back, cut to their chin, or cut to their shoulders. Their eyes are an impenetrable black and seem to glimmer like an insects. Their teeth are sharp, their ears holding a slight point, and they possess nails that should be considered more 'claw' than 'manicured'. They love silks, love heels, and love spending 3 hours in the morning applying their face (sometimes literally).

Between their gigs of part-time nightclub owner and part-time gambling addict, Sysba's thoughts continue to be a mystery to all who know them - alongside their true ambitions in Attollo.

REVISED—Pariah [2/6]

I’m tired of dancing between you, cold steel daggers, I want — my blood warming your bare tips — to fall.

Forged in flames of wrath stoked by the death of their sister, Dorian, better known as Pariah, is the claw that comes down on all those who pose a threat to the few innocents Attollo holds. As a member of the Triumvirate alongside Helios and Deadlock, Dorian is the last line of defense for justice.

Or, their version of it, at least. Whereas some may follow rules of law and court, Dorian is more prone to taking judgement into their own hands, deciding what is befitting of a crime and what isn't. Perhaps the newfound stranger can change their perspective... or amplify it.

Wielding shadows and sickles, Dorian's ability to blend into Attollo's night makes them a threat of every proportion. With umbrakinetic abilities at their disposal, they've managed to amass quite the Rogues gallery, from members of Ovo to members of the Crowes Court who perhaps toe the line too far.

Like Dreamwalker, Dorian's features are not known by many of Attollo's citizens. They often wear a motorcycle helmet that is designed with lights to reflect their facial expressions, which are usually set in a look of disdain.

They are not as tall as the others, however, as they stand at only 5'5". Their body pays testament to a lot of training and athletics, with distinct muscle present, and they keep up with that training rigorously. When their helmet is off, they have tanned skin, dark brown eyes, and short cut dark hair that curls around their face. A distinct scar pays testament to the brutality of their profession.

With a preference for motorcycle riding gear and a constant presence of their sickles, Dorian continues to be a reaper-esque figure stalking Attollo's streets.
