02.oh the weather outside is -- /eventop/

This heavy-duty kind of guy had felt the affects of the sheer cold through his tough exterior. Weather like this was predictable back in Japan but this; felt completely different.  " M-M-Man if Sano or anyone saw me like this -- " refusing to stay cooped inside the even more colder apartment especially when his wife was no where to be seen at the moment.. Shinpachi decided that movement was the best cure for this coldness. He was wrong.

With the bitter weather wind slicing his cheeks and any flesh that remained uncovered , the Shinsengumi's cheeks flushed to a bright cherry red. He brought his arms towards his chest and crossed them so he hugged himself , continuously making friction to stay as warm as possible. " I need some booze or something.. " muttering with the slightest stutter  , Shinpachi had yearned for either someone with loads of alcohol withering away in their apartment , or , some hot girl to take him in. Of course he would stay loyal to his dearest Holo. Thinking more then his mind could take he had slipped on the snow which was more then likely icy underneath to cause his fall into the sidewalk. Hopefully who ever saw the poor man take the fall would help right back up.

frigus [ OPEN ; ]

Well, this was not a good start.

Rin woke up cold. Really cold, in fact. Whoever turned the heat off would get a peace of her mind! She was enjoying the sleep too. Her hands rubbed her arms as she searched for some winter wear. The only thing she found was a scarf and a coat, and some earmuffs as well.

It'll do for now, even though she needed more.

Putting them on, the Magus slowly exited the apartment, a tired and angry look on her face (as she was not a morning person) and dragged her feet along the ground.

"... This is ridiculous." She muttered to herself, shaking from the cold. Archer's coat would have kept her warm.

... Archer...

... This was no time to start thinking of him. A blush worked it's way on her face and she quickly hid her face in her scarf, muttering to herself. Once her colour was back to normal, she decided to begin her walk. Maybe she could find out why everything was freezing.

[S] Jade ==> Be kind of a bad ass. [Event/Open]

Jade sat on the roof of her apartment building all bundled up. She was looking up at the sky, watching the snow fall. It was getting heavier and heavier and colder and colder by the minute. She'd already gotten enough supplies and could always alchemize more things if need be. She thought she might as well enjoy the snowfall before it got out of hand like predicted -- and there was no way Jade was setting foot into the city until this whole thing passed. People were probably going to get riotous and she wanted no part of that.

The dark haired girl pulled her jacket tighter around her, her eyes falling on her visible breath as she exhaled. Living in Civilization 9 was certainly interesting. Jade brought her knees to her chest and wrapped her arms around them, thinking about all of the people she's met so far.

Jade was glad those she'd come across were friendly toward her, and helpful. Not that she wouldn't be able to handle herself if someone wasn't, of course. She was just very grateful to everyone she'd met and she hoped to see them all again.

A shiver went down Jade's spine -- and another, signaling that she should probably get up and make her way back to her apartment. She'd be safe and warm there. The snow was so pretty, though, as it fell. It really did bring her back to the Land of Frost and Frogs. Her planet contained such wonderful memories and memories that she'd rather forget, too. It all helped her grow and strengthen as a player.

Suddenly, Jade heard a rattling coming from the door to the roof. She jerked her head toward it quickly, seeing a shadow emerge. The Space Witch stood, grabbing her rifle from beside her tightly. It was better to be on her guard than sorry, after all.

She shot off a warning, aiming away from wherever the noise had come from.

"Hey! Who's there?!"

Fallen Petals (Event Open)

Though the long midnight-blue coat of Garry's that he wore was deceptively warm and fuzzy, despite how obviously old and tattered it was, even this warm coat offered very little comfort as the previously nice weather took a turn for the worse: what - what was going on here? The sun had been shining most vigorously only a few moments ago, just where had such wintery winds come from?

Oh. So the scientist who had 'saved' them had screwed up big-time and fudged the weather in this 'fabricated city'. "Why am I not at all surprised by this??" Despite the fact he was a kind person, the fact the scientists had been silly enough to stick men and women who had abosuletely nothing in common and would rather fight than...do that sort of thing... didn't inspire too much confidence about them at times, enough for him to actually be a bit passive-agressive there.

Sighing in resigned acceptance and trying not to jump too much at the mist that exhaled from his mouth at that, he tugged the corners of his raggedy coat tighter around him and began to move - he had to get out of the cold. The blue rose from the gallery wasn't doing too well with such cold winds, as he glances at it in his coat pocket. The wind buffetted petals off it now and then - huh? Was it him, or was he feeling more and more battered and tired with each petal the winds blew off the rose?

He couldn't possibly still be tied to this rose 'life-wise', could he? No, of course not. However, despite his disbelief, it seemed it was so: as the petals fell, he found himself sinking to the ground against his will. No, no! This was like that time the Lady in Red took his rose and ripped it apart all over again! Only this time...someone might not save him.

There were only a few petals now - if only he could get someone to put it in water, then he could save the rose, and thus, himself by getting out of the cold. But realistically, what was the chance anyone else would be out in this weather? Wait - was that a mirage, or did he see someone walking by? He only had one shot at this, so he had to try and get their attention before it was too late.

"Please...water the rose. Water..."

His voice was wavery and weak at this point, but hopefully the weak extension of the blue rose in his right hand towards them would get their attention. Hopefully they had water with them...

My weather can't be this cold! [Open]

[On his way back home, Kyosuke thought it was first his imagination, but then he started to feel a bit cold and as every second passed, he felt the cold slowly but steadily increasing. If he knew that today was going to be a cold day, he would've surely taken his coat with him.

As he was wondering what was going on, he got near a screen on the street that was used for announcements and news of the civilization since the familiar face on it drew his attention. After the speech there he understood that this was only going to get worse and decided to hurry back "home".

He was just walking fast because it had started to snow out of nowhere but now that he knew this was some sort of malfunctioning of the system that simulated the sun that he saw everyday, he just wanted to get back home and get something to cover himself with.

Of course it didn't take long for what seemed like a snowstorm to cut loose and Kyosuke hadn't reached to his apartment and the visibility was already getting low. He could barely see a couple of meters ahead and if he didn't get some shelter he would die frozen out here.

Out of desperation, Kyosuke started knocking on someone else's apartment door.]

Heeeey! Help! Please open up! I can't get back to my own apartment!!

[Would anyone be there in any case? What if they didn't want to open the door? These thoughts rushed into Kyosuke's mind as his body temperature was gradually lowering as well.]

harsh winter (closed to Kakashi)

The doctor seemed to have erred on something, and now everyone everywhere is freezing.

Iliya enters her apartment from buying food and other groceries, expecting at least a bit of warmth, but it's not much less colder than the blizzard outside.

She sighs, holding her gloved hands over her mouth to catch her warm breath.

"Kakashi," she calls to her husband, not forgetting anymore to drop formalities ever since their brief moment of intimacy during that baby incident. They hadn't really done anything further than that, though. "Kakashi, are you around?"

She rubs her hands together, closes her eyes, and shivers.

Maybe a fire would be good, but without the stove, she doesn't know if she should go through with the idea. What if she burns down the apartment?

And she should be making food, too.

❄❄❄ ♪|| [Event Open]

It would be easy for someone to assume the girl was asleep, eyes closed and her breathing soft and steady. It was but a mere imitation to her, however, a mockery of the slumber that overcame her every few years. She wondered, how would her 'spouse' react, to learn that only after a year or two his beloved wife would retreat to a corner of the apartment and make a chrysalis, not unlike a butterfly, and hibernate there for thirty years?

Oddly enough, the thought of having to tell the poor man brought a frown to her face, an unsightly mark on her previously peaceful visage. Diva wasn't aware of how long she lay like that while her thoughts raced. When the day was through, he would more than likely treat her just like all the other humans had. Like a monster. The thing that tore her out of that mindset, however, was the increasing drop in temperature.

Now certainly this wasn't natural in any way shape or form, and the Queen wondered just what it was those scientists were up to. With a small sigh she gathered up her white cloak and opened the door to the apartment, marveling at the sight that awaited her.

It was snow. 

A small smile formed on the young woman's face as she gazed out at the blanketed scenery. Just how long had it been since she had last seen the precipitation? Best she recalled, even if she had seen it, Diva had no chance to actually play in it as she had so desired. Such things were unbefitting for a Queen, Amshel said. Well, he wasn't here now, was he? Gathering together the cloth at her neck, the petite chiropteran stepped out into the pristine landscape, the cold bringing only the slightest numbing sensation as the winds around her whipped at her dark hair.

A laugh escaped her lips, easily drowned out by the roar of the winds as she set out to gather supplies. Surely then her 'spouse' wouldn't think a monster of her? Ah, big sister Saya would be so proud to see her twin working dutifully for another's sake right now. Even if that work was quite possibly ushering in an icy death for a poor unfortunate soul derived of a blanket.

█ ▪▪ BABY → IT`S COLD OUTSIDE (open/event)

It`s so cold! Why`s it so cold all of a sudden?

Cat had just gotten off her shift at the candy store and was on her way back to the orphanage. The orphanage was only about fifteen minutes away, but at this rate, the redhead felt as if she`d rather just run back to the store. It was much warmer in there than it was out on these empty streets.. But then again, there wasn`t a cozy bed waiting for her at the candy shop.

The teenager continued to tread on, rubbing her arms with her gloved hands, but even that wasn`t helping. She let out an audible groan, watching the puff of vapor appear before her lips. "I wanna be home already!" A huge pout plastered itself over her mouth which was usually adorned with such a vibrant smile. Cat had always preferred the summer over the winter time, even though she did love wearing those cute gloves that came in assorts of colors.

Her fingers had started going numb at this rate and she was just getting more frustrated. It took a lot to get her into a bad mood, but with this horrible weather, it seemed almost inevitable. She brought her gloved hands up in front of her mouth and began to breathe heavily into them. It wasn`t really helping much, but she felt a bit better knowing she was making an effort to keep her little fingers nice and warm.

Now that she looked off again, she could see a figure in the distance. From where she stood, she could hardly make out the face of the other individual. All she could hope was that that person had an extra coat!

"Hello?" She called out a first time. "Hello?" And once more even louder, just in case said person hadn`t heard her the first time.
