2012 Roger Albert Clark Rally on iRally

The 2012 Roger Albert Clark Rally will feature on iRally in what is hoped

The free iRally app has been a runaway success with 560,000 users

downloading the App in the three years since it was launched. It covers

the iPhone, iPad and Android devices and offers an incredibly popular

video channel, where some films can hit over a quarter of a million views.

The initial partnership will make the coverage of the 2012 Roger Albert

Clark Rally available for free viewing from Monday 11 February. The

footage will be provided by David Winstanley of rallytv.co.uk. Typically,

films are available for about a week.

If the user response is positive, the agreement will be rolled out to cover

all rounds of the 2013 West Wales Rally Spares R.A.C. Rally Championship,

the first such arrangement for a historic rally championship. Initial

feedback from users suggests that coverage of historic rallying is

proving very popular.

“This is a very exciting development for both the rally and the

championship,” said rally manager Colin Heppenstall. “I am very hopeful

that this will open up a major new audience for us and our TV partners

and sponsors.”
