Act of Remembrance -Birmingham and the Midlands, UK?

During the service the photos of those we are remembering will be displayed, and their names will be read out. Children and teenagers are invited to submit a cherished memory of their loved one. These memories will be read out as a part of the Act of Remembrance. If you would like to remember a loved one in this way, please submit names, photographs, or children’s memories, no later than Monday 6th November.

Every year, the third Sunday of November is the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims.

This day in particular focuses on both the overall scale and the individual devastation caused by road deaths and injuries and the impact upon families and communities around the world.  Almost 4,000 people are killed and many hundreds of thousands injured on roads throughout the world every day. Many more have to cope with bereavement or the effects of injury and thus become part of the huge group of people affected by road carnage.

This year, the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims is on Sunday, 20th November 2011.
