Traffic was heavy on the Hazel Dell and Hospital Hill tonight, with most motorists yielding the right of way. While you're out, mind your step. Snakes are sunning on the asphalt in the evening hours, so be ready to perform reptile rescues. As you pick up Ayers Road headed north, watch for dogs. They're jubilant about meeting runners, and will offer encouragement by matching your pace. Road Report: Hot and hazy on the Hazel Dell today, with no traffic to speak of, as people are hiding from the heat. Watch for broken asphalt on the east shoulder as you turn north onto Highway 127. You'll encounter more choppy shoulders as you near the West Ayers Road approach. Beware the road kill rabbit 🐰opposite Shady Lane. You'll find horseflies plentiful and persistent on your evening run. We recommend ball caps or bandannas to keep your hair fly-free. Carry water, hydrate well, and be safe out there! Running into the sun, but I'm running behind... Road Report: Traffic is heavy on the Hazel Dell approach to Ayers Road this evening, so mind the curves and be alert for opossums, raccoons, and runners too dumb to finish early or stripe themselves with reflecting tape. Out of town traffic is moving fast down Hospital Hill, so don't count on the usual courtesies if you're on foot. Humidity is high but there's a steady wind from the south, and look to the clouds on the east and west horizons if you're searching for new scenery to move you through those final miles.
