Achingly delicious nose, raspy and gummy-bear and steeped in briar and peach cobbler and green funk teetering on the brightest edge of barnyard. Gracious blessings from Heaven in the mouth, but not overwhelmingly rewarding or instantly gratuitous. Swing and a Miss
Here’s a FIRST. I’ve been a die-hard fan of this producer for 30 years, all the way back to when the winery was open to the public. It was my first mailing list for futures I ever joined (the cash-cow called ‘Wine Club’ hadn’t been invented yet). I’ve drank hundreds of these wines over the years of all varieties. This is the first Dehlinger wine I have ever been disappointed with.
