Baby Goat Affectionately
Why do I have this feeling that the others call Will, Baby Goat, affectionately?
And no, I don't feel like they call him that because of his size or anything, but mostly because he's the youngest of them, and we've seen how protective they all get of him (and one another).
I just think it would be kind of sweet, considering Baby Goat was kind of an insult in the beginning, used by Mane mostly, or just used to characterize Will because of his size.
So to see it turned around as a term of endearment that a family would use just sounds cool to me, because they now know what Will can really do, they've seen him on the court, and he's helped bring them closer together
So, Baby Goat could substitute for baby brother or something along those lines.
(Please note, I am not trying to infantilize Will or speak less of his character because he's the youngest, and this isn't a post saying the other characters would either.
I think he's a strong character, and Sony did an excellent job of showing how strong he really is, no matter what life throws at him. I just love the found family trope, and I thought the idea sounded really cute in my head.)
finished watching thy movie, and i decided to be an artist
because I'm a moron I just realized that roarball in goat (2026) is a non-gendered sport!!
and it seems like in Canon it always has been!!
yes there are some bigotry metaphors about some species being considered too small to play.
but honestly I read that as the usual thing already in sports where people are underestimated because they don't fit "the look" of the typical player.
like NBA star Muggsy Bogues back in the day.
so for gender to not even be mentioned at all is kinda incredible!!
i can't think of too many sports movies like that.
"The Amazonas Trôpics" If "Goat" had existed when I was little, I'd probably love basketball as much as my family does...then probably lost interest once I learned how long and repetitive sports matches always felt to me.
Although, roarball probably would have broken that cycle for me! So, here's my OC team: The Amazonas Trôpics! Pronounced 'trope-ics' because each member's a different trope (as shown in the next image):
Antonio "Toni" the tapir (he/they) Melán the caiman (he/him) Eunice "Uni" the anaconda (they/them) Gia the harpy eagle (it/it's) Lamara the mountain gorilla (she/her) Jojo the okapi (formerly Joanie) (she/her)
