Thinking about How touch starved Bob Floyd must be. He would whine at the smallest touch. Your hand slowly traveling down his abdomen, feeling how hard he is. "B-Baby, please don't tease me" he loosely whines softly. He looked like he was about to cry because of how desperate he was. You placed your knees against his hips and slowly sat on his lap. That really made him loose it all. You felt his body tremble below you, he tried to say something, but it just came out in a loud moan. You stayed there for a few seconds in shock, he just came in his pants, and you didn't even do anything.
i’ve been looking for this fic forever but i can’t find it. it was a bob floyd fic and it was his birthday, and the girl that he really liked was on her way with a cake for him when she like flipped her car over. jake and bradley were there too. I’M JUST HOPING IT WASN’T DELETED

Ignore that it's 3:30 in the afternoon and my phone is already at 32%. I also had a spelling mistake in Javy's so the time at the top of my phone is off, ignore it.

just reread the part of the abo post where you asid that rhett is ****most likely**** an alpha and im curious what do you think the rest of lewis pullman characters most likely are, just like listened out or something
-🫧(maybe? i aksed something a few days ago with that one at least)
hello!!
[og post for context]
tillerson anon? if so, yes, 🫧 is free and yours for the taking! im working on a few reqs atm so i haven't gotten past the thinking about it part for the tillerson reader post, but something like this i can do over a break.
here is every pullman character that i write/have written for as what i think they most likely would be. this is just quick initial thoughts. if you have any questions/want a more indepth why just comment or hit my inbox.
spoilers to like everything ahead, obviously.
alpha
rhett abbott (outer range), link to that ramble above.
miles miller (bad time at the el royale), for similar reasons to rhett, miles is very fun to put in the omegaverse bc there's no "good option", but like i would presume an omega would not be allowed to enlist in the 50's/60's, even in they were a man. beta is also totally plausible, but again, kinda vibes kinda not. miles is deeply uncomfortable with his "nature" (read: social conditioning) and being an alpha is pretty in line with that.
beta
cameron cassmore (remarkably bright creatures), another link.
robert 'bob' floyd (top gun: maverick), he's a freak, might have fantasies of being something else, but i think it stays there. bob is a smart level headed guy, if were an omega, i don't think he'd bother with the navy, sure it's allowed. but worth all the bullshit? nah. alpha feels unlikely to me as well, but again that's veering more into vibes. he just feels beta to me.
harrison knott (press play), this one is purely vibes. he's dead for most of that movie and we're presumably seeing him through laura's memories for most of the movie rather than what he's really like, which makes him hard to pass judgement on. all that being said, look at him and tell me i'm wrong.
ben mears (salems' lot), this is based solely on my belief that ben would probably rely on suppressants pretty heavily if he were alpha or omega, not out of shame, just would find heats/ruts more a distraction. it'd piss him off more than anything else to forget his prescription and i don't think he's organized enough to really keep track of a script throughout all the partying and road-trips. there's a certain lack of forethought to his character that makes beta make the most sense to me.
omega
todd stevens (the line), part of it is vibes, i'll be real with you. it fits the dl rich boy thing he has going on. another part of it is, from what little we see of him, he's more pacifying rather than domineering when it comes to manipulating or being the adult in the room. as an omega, i think he's just really clever about hiding it and using his "nature" (again, read social conditioning) to his advantage.
can't quite place
rocco gauthier (riff raff), rocco's fun like rhett is and maybe i'll ramble about him too later. but he's not as easy to pin down for a most likely like rhett or cameron is. i do think he could work as any presentation, realistically. and i kinda loev every version
william lee (the testament of ann lee), william is a little complicated because he's another that could be anything. i lean more towards beta or omega, simply because he doesn't feel like he was ever socialized as an alpha. but i could see him being socialized as a beta, or as omega and trying to hide it. putting omegaverse in historical and religious contexts makes it this extra tricky. just off the top, i think a male omega or female alpha (probably ann lee) would be seen negatively in most religious contexts, and would probably be seen as synonymous with queerness. or it'd be some kind of superstition. not that either would need it, but either of the lee's having a 'nontraditional' presentation could be another push to involve themselves in the shakers, who seem to be more accepting of women in non-tradition (for the time) roles. it'd likely make william much more eager to delve into a totally sexless existence, because it makes his non-alpha status, and any implications that come from it, meaningless.
major "caleb" major major (catch-22), hard to put one down for him. because of how many issues his name caused, i feel like he goes against what i said for miles and could be anything. i'm inclined to lean towards beta or omega, but that's more vibes than anything else.
robert 'bob' reynolds (thunderbolts), another one that's similiar to rocco and rhett, i could see him as anything. and he will be deeply uncomfortable with any presentation. there's just a different flavor of discomfort and shame for every presentation.
jordan weaver (skincare), god what a nightmare he'd be if he were anything but a beta, that being said, while i have no idea which i do think he'd be an alpha or omega. i think he'd become obsessed with someone of the opposing presentation and just terrorize them as usual, using their opposing presentation as a proof of a deeper connection with his obsession (ex. complimentary traits)

Maybe if you had answered another one of your mother's calls, you would have expected this. But you didn't and now you were standing outside your house with Bob at your side, still healing, and your mother at the end of the driveway. She knew better than to try and walk up the driveway, she may be your mother but you would call the police the second she got too close. "Come on, sweetheart!"
You blinked at your mom, turning towards Bob and gently placing your hand on his ribs. "You should go back inside," you told him. "You're healing and need to sit down," you added.
Bob gently shook his head, unsure of whether to leave you or not but unwilling to anyway. "Not while she's here," Bob told you. "Not because I don't trust you, but because I don't trust her."
You both looked at your mom who was still standing at the end of your driveway, her arms crossed. You pursed your lips and slowly made your way down the stairs, Bob trailing after you even as you got closer to your mother. "Two minutes, talk," you told her, waving your hand dismissively.
She smiled like she had won the lottery, even though you knew there was nothing she could say that would change your mind. "Look, honey, I didn't mean to make you so upset. But you have to understand, I was upset that you weren't with Bob anymore," she told you, taking a step forward while you flinched back.
You gave her a raised eyebrow, but it was Bob who spoke. "Mrs. Rosewood, you do know that's not an apology, right?"
Your mom looked between the two of you, evident anger growing on her face. "What have you done to Bob?" Your mom set her eyes on you. "He was such a sweet boy!"
You raised both eyebrows and leaned back a little. "She did nothing to me that I didn't want, but I just have a low tolerance of bullshit. So unless you're going to actually apologize to my soon to be wife, you can leave our property," Bob stepped forward and you gently placed your hand on his ribs again. Just to remind him that they were still hurt and that you'd rather he didn't overexert himself.
Your mom looked between you two, the way Bob wasn't going to back down and how you weren't going to let this go. "Ok then," she stepped back, her eyebrows raised. "I'll go, but I'll be in town for the next two days," she added before walking to her car.
You watched her leave, unsure of what to do other than gently run your hand over Bob's stomach. "Are you petting me?" Bob asked you, his eyes on you now that your mother wasn't around.
You looked at him, your hand still moving around a little. "Yeah, it's oddly calming," you nodded, pulling your hand away as you two started to walk back into your house.
Bob only smiled at you, you had been extra touchy since he started feeling better. Bob knew you had always been that way, that you had always wanted to touch someone to make sure they truly are getting better and it's not just your imagination. "Hey, I go back into the office tomorrow," Bob gently reminded you as you two go back inside.
You sighed, sitting down on the couch. "I know, I'll miss you," you told him, reaching out to place your hand on his face. Bob gave you a sad smile but you were speaking again before he could answer you. "And if my mom shows, who's going to keep me from going off on her?"
Bob gave you a look, one you knew well but always like to challenge. "You won't go off on her because you know better," Bob told you.
You gave him a smile, one he knew meant you were about to be a brat. "Do I though?"
"Yes, you do," Bob leaned towards you and you tried to meet him in the middle only for him to lean away a little. You blinked at him as he smirked at you. "Are you going to behave tomorrow if your mother shows up?"
You nodded quickly. "Promise," you smiled.
Bob closed the gap and gave you a sweet kiss filled with promises. "Good girl," he gave you another kiss before settling back into the couch, giving his ribs a rest.
✧°˖ . ݁˖︵‿❀‿︵˖ . ݁˖°✧
You were at the kitchen table as Bob moved around, he was getting his bag for work ready. You were watching him and wondering if you could just sit in his truck all day and be right there. Realistically, you knew you couldn't, but damn if you didn't want to try. "It's time for me to go," Bob let you know.
You sighed and stood up, walking Bob to the door. You leaned against the doorframe, trying to make yourself believe that this was any other day. Bob placed his bag down and pulled you into his arms for a kiss. You melted into it and let yourself remember that Bob has come home to you everyday. "Be safe," you muttered against his lips.
Bob smiled, pecking your lips one last time. "I will, I love you," he walked away after you returned the sentence, and you watched him walk to his truck. You felt like a stay at home wife watching her husband go to war. It didn't help when you waved to him until you couldn't see his truck anymore.
You went back into the house with a sigh and went to start on the laundry. There was a weeks worth that needed to be washed plus whatever blankets from the living room that you deemed dirty enough for the wash. You paused when you got back into the bedroom, you weren't sure what to think. You knew you were going to be doing the laundry but there wasn't a single bone in your body that wanted to do that. You knew Bob wouldn't care if you didn't, but you wanted to feel useful while you were still at home. But as you looked at your bed, you figured a nap couldn't hurt.
✧°˖ . ݁˖︵‿❀‿︵˖ . ݁˖°✧
You were awoken by the sound of your phone going off next to your head. You blinked at it owlishly, trying to make sense of the time. You grabbed your phone and answered it. "Hello?"
Bob smiled at your voice, it was clear you just took a nap. "Hey, pretty girl," Bob spoke, walking out of the lunch area to speak to you.
You blinked, why was Bob calling you so early. "Hi? Is everything ok?" you asked, sitting up.
Bob frowned a little, how long were you napping? "Yeah, I'm just on lunch."
"Oh," you breathed, realizing how long you've been out. "I've been sleeping since you left, I was tired," you let him know, stretching out your stiff muscles.
Bob's smile returned, at least you weren't sick. "You didn't have to get up with me this morning."
"I wanted to be up with you this morning," you countered.
Bob could only smile at you, there really wasn't anything about you that he didn't find cute. "Well, I was going to ask how your morning has been. But since you were asleep, how was your nap?"
You smiled at the roof, laying back against your pillow. "It was great, felt shorter than it was though," you replied. "How was your day?"
Bob told you about his day, every little detail even the ones that you were sure you weren't supposed to know. But you did know that Tom wouldn't care if you did, you somehow ended up being trusted with too much anyway. "The others want to know if you want to join them at The Hard Deck."
You hummed for a moment. "Sure, when?"
"Later, I'll come home and pick you up. But you should go eat and I should too."
"Ok, I love you," you told Bob.
"I love you too."
✧°˖ . ݁˖︵‿❀‿︵˖ . ݁˖°✧
You spent the rest of the day actually doing the things you told yourself you would do. Bob got home to you putting the finishing touches on your makeup. "Bradley told me to tell you that he wants you to return the Hawaiian shirt you stole from him," Bob greeted you with a kiss before speaking.
You hummed a little. "I will, I'll bring it tonight," you agreed, not caring to keep it now that you've sufficiently annoyed Bradley by having it.
Bob nodded and thew his bag onto the chair at your vanity. Bob had showered and changed already, clearly having enough patience to do so before coming home. "Oh and Natasha said something about challenging you to a dart game."
"I lost to her last time, I think she just wants to win again," you sighed, standing up to meet Bob at the door.
"Or she's recruiting you to teach you how to play better so she can use you as her partner next week when she does that tournament against Hangman and Coyote," Bob informed you.
You laughed a little. "That does sound like Tasha," you mused, walking with Bob to his truck. You let him open the passenger door for you, even though you were trying to keep up with your independence. Bob rounded the truck to his side and jumped him, a smile still on his face. You knew it made Bob happy that you were friends with the others, that you and Javy had made it clear the two of you would never see each other as anything but friends again. But this was a different type of happiness, one that you had only ever seen a few times. "Bobby?"
Your fiancé looked over at you with his smile still in place for a moment before focusing back on the road. "Yes?"
"Are you reproposing tonight?"
Bob's smile didn't falter but he nodded. "Yep, that obvious?"
"Yes, you're very smiley," you told him.
"I get to propose to you in front of all the important people in our lives, of course I'm smiley."
"All important people?" Bob nodded, as if you weren't figuring out his secret. "Including your family and my brother?"
Bob looked at you briefly at a red light. "How did you know?"
"Because I know you, and you know me," you gestured between the two of you. "Plus, I got an alert from Life360 that my brother landed from the airport back home to the San Diego one."
"I told him to turn his location off," Bob griped, but you can tell he wasn't actually mad.
"Marcus never has listened to directions very well," you mused, watching as The Hard Deck approached. "Let's go get engaged," you told him, thankful you chose a nicer outfit.
You had to hand it to your brother and Bob's family, they kept themselves pretty hidden when you walked in. But you knew what to look for so you could find them, even if you didn't point them out to keep appearances. "Hey, you two made it!" Mickey called out, likely the announcer for the others.
"Yeah, we did," you smiled, pretending you didn't know what was happening.
Natasha walked up to you and you realized this was how Bob was going to get your ring. "Will you play darts with me? I'm going against Hangman and Coyote next week and need a good partner," she spoke and you nodded.
"Sure," you turned towards Bob, already pulling all your rings off. "Will you hold these for me?"
Bob took your rings with a small nod, his smile softer now. "Of course, go have fun," Bob gave you a small kiss before you walked off.
✧°˖ . ݁˖︵‿❀‿︵˖ . ݁˖°✧
You and Natasha were finishing off the game when you realized that Bob was waiting to propose. Natasha led you away from the dart board and to where Bob was standing off to the side. "Hi," Bob smiled at you.
"Hi," you replied, watching as Bob knelt down on one knee.
Bob pulled your engagement ring out of his pocket with a smile. "Y/n Rosewood, I've known you our whole lives and I've known I wanted to marry you as soon as I knew what that meant. There was never a moment where I thought I wouldn't marry you. I have loved you from the moment we met and never stopped. So, will you marry me?" Bob held the ring out and you smiled at him.
"Yes," you whispered, pulling Bob up to press your lips to his. "You're a dork, you know that?" you teased.
Bob smiled, leaning in for another kiss. "Yeah, but I'm your dork."
You rolled your eyes at him. "Yeah, you are," you nodded, turning towards the others. You saw your brother clearly then, how he has changed. "Marcus," you breathed out, unsure of how to approach him.
Marcus took the guess out and rushed to hug you. He was taller than you now, but he still hugged you like that younger brother he was. "Hi, Bee," he breathed out, thankful that he was hugging you again.
"Hi, Mucus," you had to call him by his nickname that he hated, you wouldn't be his older sister if you didn't.
"You knew I was here, didn't you?" He pulled away from the hug and you nodded.
"You never turned your location off," you told him.
"Shit, Bob even reminded me and I forgot."
You didn't have a chance to answer before Delaney was rushing to you. "Oh my god, Bee!" She hugged you tight and you let her before you were ushered into Maria's arms.
"Sweetie, how I've missed you. How have you been?" Maria started fussing over you, but complimented your entire new look.
"Mama," Bob stepped up but Katie stepped in the way.
"My turn to hug Bee, I lost my other older sister when Mrs. Rosewood cut her out," Katie pouted. She was the youngest Floyd and always loved you like a sister.
"Hi, Katie," you hugged her tight, making sure to keep in mind her glucose monitor on her arm. "How have you been? Do you need to eat?"
Katie only smiled at you, shaking her head. "Penny gave me some candy earlier, I'm fine," Katie promised. You nodded at her, letting her go completely before moving to Bob. "How long are you in town?"
"Only today and tomorrow," Maria told you and you nodded. "We're forcing your mom to leave with us so she doesn't bother you again."
You nodded a little, a grateful smile on your face. "Let's celebrate," you changed the topic, allowing the others to cheer and allowing you a moment to share with Bob.
✧°˖ . ݁˖︵‿❀‿︵˖ . ݁˖°✧
Moriana told you that she was hand making your wedding dress, and you knew it was going to be nice. You just didn't know how nice it would actually be. But as you stood in the office with the dress on, you understood that this was your dress. It fit you perfectly and you knew that Bob would love it too. "Mori," you looked at her with tears in your eyes and she rushed to wipe them away.
"Awe, I take it that you like it?" Moriana asked and you nodded at her.
"Of course I do," you responded, pulling her into a hug.
"Good because I love it on you," she pulled away to snap a photo, one for her collection of clients in their wedding dresses. It made for a good portfolio when people asked to see one and you were more than happy to be apart of it.
"I can't wait to show Bob," you mused, running your hands over the bodice.
"But you will, it's bad luck to see the bride's dress before the wedding."
"He's already seen the reception one," you countered.
"Yes, but that isn't your real dress. Keep this one a secret," Moriana pointed at you.
You held your hands up, not exactly scared of her but worried. "Alright, I'll keep it a secret," you promised.
"Good, now go change so we can get back to work," she smiled at you and you nodded again.
✧°˖ . ݁˖︵‿❀‿︵˖ . ݁˖°✧
The upside to being engaged for so long was that you and Bob had been slowly planning out your wedding. So as you two started looking for the venue, you already knew how many people where going to be there and how much space you needed. It made it a bit easier, but you both were unsure about where to have the wedding. "We're from Montana," you told him and he nodded at you like you had sprouted another head but nodded nonetheless. "We've been looking at these city venues, why don't we look at ones a little farther away?"
Bob sat up from where he was leaning back against the couch. "That's a wonderful idea, Sunny" Bob pulled his laptop back into his lap and you moved over to sit next to him. You both were looking through the venues and picking a few to tour.
You noticed the small beach house before Bob did, already looking two photos ahead of him. "What about that one?" You pointed to it and Bob clicked on it.
You two were looking through the photos and both agreed to pick a time to tour it. The earliest was the next day, but you picked it anyway. "And if we like it, we'll still be able to cancel the others free of charge," Bob pointed out and you beamed at him.
Bob put the laptop to the side and you dramatically threw yourself over his lap. "I can't believe we're getting married," you were smiling wide and you knew it.
Bob responded by pulling you up to sit on his lap. "Believe it, pretty girl. Soon you'll be mine legally," he smiled and planted a kiss to your hand.
You laughed gently, excited by the idea. "If you were anyone else, that sentence would be creepy. But I know you don't mean it that way," you were teasing Bob and he knew it, even if there was the truth in there.
"What if I did?" Bob was teasing you back.
You faked a gasp, "Who are you? My sweet Bobby would never talk about me like I'm his property," you tried to wiggle out of his arms but Bob held you tighter to him.
Bob pressed a kiss to your cheek, his face fake serious. "I'm a clone, the real Bob's on a secret mission right now," Bob played along as you laughed and wiggled a little more.
"I want my Bobby, not a clone!"
Bob laughed with you as he loosened his hold, allowing you to move around as you please. Only for you to stay planted with a smile. "I thought you wanted your Bobby and not me?"
You giggled, leaning in close to press your forehead to his. "Are you sure you're the clone?"
You knew what you were doing, Bob knew what you were doing but he was powerless to it. "No," he replied, unable to even fake lie to you when you were that close to his face.
The triumphant little grin you had was enough for Bob to officially not care that he lost your little game. "I knew it!" You wiggled around in his lap as you did a victory shimmy, even if it did mean you were pulling away from him to do so.
"I think that could be considered cheating," Bob gently pulled you to lean against his chest, your head tucked against his shoulder.
"Hmm," you hummed for a moment, thinking of a response. "Even if it was, we both know you would have caved eventually. I was just…speeding along the process," you shrugged a little.
Bob rolled his eyes at you playfully. "Are you sure it's not because you were aiming for us to end up in this exact position?"
You huffed, you were but that's not the point. "No," you lied, but the yawn you released gave you away.
"Mhm, you weren't trying to end up in my lap so you can take a nap here?" Bob was onto you, you knew he was.
Even so, you decided to pretend he was wrong. "Nope, I'm pretty sure this is just a coincidence."
"Oh, so if I started tell you about how today at work…" you stopped paying attention to what Bob was saying as you fell asleep, you were caught but at least you were still getting your nap. Bob knew you weren't paying attention, he knew that the consistent sound of him talking, even if it was about his mundane day, would help you fall asleep.
Bob knew you were asleep the second your sleepy hums stopped and your breath hit the side of his neck with each exhale. He only smiled and turned the TV on, turning on the History Channel as you slept. If he joined you in your nap, then the alarm he set earlier when he knew you were going to end up napping would wake you both up.
✧°˖ . ݁˖︵‿❀‿︵˖ . ݁˖°✧
The alarm never got to wake you, frantic knocking on your door did. You and Bob had shifted, both of you laying down and cuddled together. Before you even had time to register being awake, your door was opening. Only one person had a key to your house other than you and Bob, and that was Bradley. "Hey, you two look comfy," Bradley plopped down on the chair. "My apartment building's power is out, do you mind if I stay here for a few hours while they fix it?"
You blinked, processing everything you were just told. "You can stay," Bob told him, pulling you closer to him as you two got comfortable on the couch again.
Bradley smiled, catching the remote when you threw it at him. "Do you two have an alarm or do you want me to wake you at a certain time?" Bradley questioned, unfazed by you two napping on the couch like cats. You mumbled something that Bradley didn't catch. "Huh?"
"We have an alarm but wake us if you leave before it goes off," Bob translated since you had already fallen asleep.
Bradley nodded, looking at you two with a smile. "There was a time that she thought she'd never get to do this again, you know," Bradley told Bob offhandedly, like it didn't chase away all the sleep clinging to the edges of his mind.
"What?" Bob whispered, trying not to wake you.
Bradley looked towards the WSO, noting how he's rarely seen the man without his glasses and what an odd sight it was for him at the moment. "About a month after we met, she told me that she thought you hated her and that you'd never take her back. I think her end goal was to always end up with you, even when she we trying to move on."
Bob never thought about it, he didn't like thinking about how you were over those years. At the time, he thought you were living your best life but he just learned you weren't. That was the extent of his thinking about how you were over those years, it hurt his heart to think of you as anything but happy. "Oh," Bob finally responded.
Bradley nodded, unfazed by how Bob was short in his response. "Yeah, what you saw, those moments where she was happy and joking with me, were pretty rare. She was miserable thinking about how she hurt you and how she was hurting without you. But she never wanted to put you in a position where you'd have to forgive her, so she convinced herself to move on," Bradley explained everything you couldn't, everything you so desperately wanted to but couldn't voice.
Bob looked down at your sleeping face, always so peaceful while in his arms. "I always thought she was living a good life, I thought I was holding her back."
"She was holding herself back, which is harsh to say. But I love her and it's true, she was," Bradley finally clicked on a channel, it was playing old Law and Order: SVU episodes so Bradley turned the volume down a bit. "I'm glad you two are back together again, she's just been happier since you showed up. Even before she had the guts to explain why she broke it off the first time," Bradley added.
Bob's smile was broken on a yawn, the sleep that was dashed away coming back. "I'm happy I have her back too," Bob muttered, his eyes slipping closed as he fell back asleep.
✧°˖ . ݁˖︵‿❀‿︵˖ . ݁˖°✧
The ceremony was a blur to you. You remember walking down the aisle with Tom by your side and seeing Bob for the first time, but that was really it. Bob and you were in a small room alone, having scheduled time for you two to be alone between the ceremony and reception. "I think I blocked out that entire thing," you muttered, in the middle of changing into your reception dress.
Bob was changing out of his Dress Whites and into the suit you handmade for him for the reception. "Do I need to tell you my vows again?" Bob asked, serious because he knew you probably did it to keep from panicking in front of the entire group.
You smiled at Bob once you had the dress on, the diamond straps glittering in the lights. "Tomorrow, I want to just enjoy this moment," you told him, walking right into his open and waiting arms.
"We made it here," Bob muttered, holding you to him as you laid your head down on his shoulder.
"We did," you agreed, the two of you slowly swaying side to side. "I didn't think we would at one point," you admitted.
"Why not?"
"I know Bradley told you, but I thought you hated me. I was so worried I lost what I envisioned for my future," you explained. "And then you were here and I noticed the signs that you still loved me but I was ignoring them because I thought it was just my hope getting in the way. But then you kissed me in your truck and I knew I couldn't just ignore it anymore."
Bob pressed a kiss to your head. "I thought you were living your best life," he admitted to you. "I saw you're Instagram and saw what you posted and it made me think you were happy. And then I saw you in Lemoore and got hit with the realization you had a promotion I didn't know about all because I thought I didn't fight for us hard enough."
You pulled away from Bob and said something you thought might blow this entire night up. "I'm glad we had time without each other," you muttered. "I love you, I always have, but I love my job and I don't think I would have been able to get as far as I have if we had been together."
Bob grabbed your hands and pressed a kiss to each of them. "As much as it killed me to be apart, I'm glad we had that time too. You're right, if you had stayed you wouldn't have made it as far as you have. Not with us having to move every three years," Bob pulled you closer and you went back to laying your head on his shoulder. "We have 10 minutes until we need to head out there."
"Will you just hold me?"
"I'd love to," Bob promised, the two of you just standing in the middle of the room.

Bob was waiting in the airport for you to get back from the work trip that took you to Italy. Your daughter, Madeline, was almost asleep as Bob held her and Liam, your son, was leaning against Bob's leg. "Daddy, look!" Liam was pointing at you as you walked up. "It's mommy," he smiled so wide when you spotted them and blew them all a kiss.
"There's my favorite people," you greeted them all, leaning in to kiss Bob before kissing Madeline's hair and bending to give Liam a hug and a kiss to his forehead.
You took Liam's hand as Bob took over dragging your suitcase behind him. "Mommy, you look boo-tee-full," Liam told you.
"Awe," you pulled the 6 year old into your side. "Thank you."
"I'm just repeating what daddy says," he mused. "He tells everyone we run into that you're boo-tee-full."
"Really?"
Bob's cheeks were pink when you looked over at him, Madeline officially asleep in his arms. "Yep! Tells all the other mommys he so glad to have you," Liam kept talking, unaware of the look you were giving his father.
"That's amazing to hear," you told Liam, helping him into the backseat of Bob's truck while Bob put Madeline in her car seat. Bob rounded the truck to come open your door but you stopped him before he could. "Do you really tell all the other moms all that?"
"I'm just telling the truth," he muttered.
You leaned in to kiss Bob, smiling into it when he gripped your waist to pull you closer. "You know, it's been almost 4 years since Madeline was born," you muttered against his lips. "And I remember you telling me you wanted three kids."
Bob pulled away just enough to look you in the eyes. "Pretty girl, I'm not putting you through that again. Not after what happened with Madeline," he shook is head gently.
"How dare you care for my well being?" you joked. "But seriously, if you ever want to we can. I'll be ok," you told him.
"Or we could just do the fun part and love the two that we've got," he looked behind you to see Liam asleep and leaning against Madeline's car seat.
"Or we could do that, I like that too," you kissed Bob again. "Either way, I hope you took tomorrow off. I've got plans for you."
Bob went red this time while he cleared his throat. "I do, I took it off. I wasn't sure if you wanted to keep the kids home tomorrow," he muttered.
"No, they've got school and day care to go to," you smiled, turning to wait for Bob to open your door.
"I hope you're ready to be bent over every surface then," Bob's lips brushed the shell of your ear while he spoke.
The shiver that ran up your spine didn't go unnoticed by Bob as he opened your door. Neither did the look you gave him while he shut it after you were seated. You were both in for a long day once the kids were gone, and neither of you could wait.

You were sitting in your living room staring at your phone. The heaviness you hadn't felt since you got back with Bob was back and weighing on your chest.
Mama: Hey, sweetheart
You wanted to answer, you wanted to call her and apologize, but it wasn't your fault. You had talked to so many people about it and they all agreed that no loving mother ghosts her daughter. Bob was at work otherwise you'd call him and ask for advice, instead you called Tom. "Hey," you said as he answered.
"Hi, what's up?" He let out a breath and you could tell he was taking the chance for a break from, probably boring, paperwork.
"Is there any way you could escort me on base? I need to talk to someone," you asked, your voice unsteady.
"I'll meet you at the gate, what's wrong?"
"My mom texted me," you told him.
"Oh shit," he drew the word out just a little. "I'll be waiting at the gate," he told you before hanging up.
You hurried to your car and drove as fast, but law obeying, as you could. You saw Tom talking to the gate guard as you pulled up, the two ushered you in. You followed Tom back to the main building, as if you didn't already know how to get there, and walked side by side in the building. "Thank you for this, I know it's last minute," you told him, sighing in relief.
"We talked about this before, when she talks to you again, you come to me," he said, his voice detached. You knew it was because he was mad at your mom for practically abandoning you and not at you.
"It was just shocking, you know?" you told him, walking through the main part of the school.
"What a hot piece of ass," you heard someone say, you pursed your lips and turned towards the voice in unison with Tom.
"What did you say?" Tom's voice took an edge you've never heard.
"Sorry, sir," the pilot said, his voice anything but sorry. Especially with the way he was staring at you.
"No, I asked what you said," he glowered and you took a small sidestep to hide partially behind Tom. The pilot, who you could tell was going through TOP GUN, didn't answer but he did give you another once over. No one noticed the Daggers walking in or the way they were walking towards you. "Are you going to answer me? What the fuck did you say?"
You were completely hiding behind Tom now, only lightly peeking out from behind his shoulder as the pilot answered. "I said what a hot piece of ass," his voice was less confident than it was the first time but it was no less cocky.
Sudden hands on your hips made you jump but you relaxed once you realized who it was. "Bobby," you sighed, letting yourself relax into him.
Tom seemed to feel safer to approach the pilot now that you wouldn't be alone or having to follow him. "That's what I thought," Tom mused. "What's your name?"
"Lieutenant Kyle Jones, call sign Twit," he stated like it was something to be proud of.
"That's fitting," you heard Javy mutter, moving to stand in front of where you were being held by Bob. You noticed the whole squad moving to surround you, forcing you out of Twit's eyesight.
"Lieutenant Jones, you are to report to my office immediately where we will be discussing your punishment," Tom told him.
"What?" Twit yelled, taking a step forward. You instinctively tried to step back but you forgot you were being held by Bob so all you did was push yourself further into him. "All because I called her hot? So fucking what? She is and I should be able to voice my opinion, what rule did I break?"
"How about disrespect, talking back, not respecting your admiral? I could get your ass court marshaled," Tom stood up completely straight and you pursed your lips.
"That doesn't sound right," you muttered.
Natasha moved to stand right next to you, her hand raising to rest on your shoulder. "Don't question him, he could do basically whatever he wants at this point," Natasha told you, her voice showing her humor.
You nodded before taking a deep breath. "That was a mistake, you all smell like jet fuel," you muttered.
"Gee, I wonder why," Mickey joked from his spot behind you and Bob, causing you to laugh lightly.
"Hey, I didn't choose this job, you guys did. I went computer statistics," you shot back.
"Computer statistics and you're the COO of Bane Collective?" Jake questioned.
"Yeah, I worked my way up the chain. I earned the spot, plus it helped that I didn't hit on Moriana during the whole process," you told them, watching as Tom told Twit off.
"Not that I don't love you," Pete cut in. "But what are you doing here?"
"Oh, uh," you didn't forget but you didn't really know how to say it in a way that won't set Bradley and Pete off.
"Uh what?" Bradley narrowed his eyes at you.
"My mom contacted me," you told them and braced for impact.
"She what?" Pete sounded angry and you knew why. "When?"
You paused before answering again. "Like an hour ago, I was coming to talk to Tom but then Twit acted like… well… a twit," you laughed a little. Pete and Bradley shared eye contact and you didn't like it. "Stop conniving," you told them.
"After what your mom has said, we get to connive," Bradley told you.
"No," you shook your head. "No conniving," you spoke like you were scolding a dog. Your eyes narrowed as you sharpened the edge of your voice.
"But what about the fact your own mother called you a whore?" Bradley asked and you scrunched your nose.
"Yeah," you drew the word out. "I didn't tell anyone else here about that," you told him, trying to avoid looking at anyone but him. Especially Bob with the way his hands flexed on your hips.
"What about when she told you that she no longer loved you since you refused to just go and marry Bob only a week after the first Christmas you didn't go home? Or when she sent you that document that showed she removed you from the will? Or when she sent that video of your childhood room completely empty and redid as her Pilates studio? Or when-" you quickly pulled away from Bob to slap one of your hands over Bradley's mouth.
"Ok, that's enough from you," you told him.
"What about when she said she disowned you? When she got your dad to actually block you as well and threatened Marcus she'd block him too if he didn't block you? What about when she-" you reached over to slap your other hand over Pete's mouth too.
"What is with you two right now?" you asked and Bradley mumbled against your hand. "I did not ask you to air it out," you argued and Bradley mumbled again, you really had been around him too much if you knew what he was trying to say. "No, you did it because you like to cause shit and stir the pot," you narrowed your eyes. You felt his lips turn up a little as he shrugged and you rolled your lips. "You know I'm right." You pulled your hands away from the men. "Behave or I'll tell Tom to go admiral on your asses."
"Who am I going admiral on?" Tom entered the conversation.
"Pete and Bradley for airing out things my mom's said and done," you told him.
"You said keep the information within the family, are they not family?" Bradley gestured to the others and you moved to lean your head against the side of Tom's arm.
"They are," Tom nodded.
"Then you're dad now," you mumbled, the exhaustion you had felt early from everything taking over your body and voice again. "And Pete's mom only because I know he's looking at me all offended right now," you added.
You were right, Pete was looking at you offended. "Can't I be Uncle Mav?"
"No, you're mom," you didn't even move anything. Your arms were limp at your sides, your body was leaning forward and resting some of your weight on Tom by your forehead that was still against his upper arm.
"What about Carole?"
"She's my aunt, Nick's my uncle, Bradley's my cousin but he's one of those that you're so close to it feels more like they're your sibling," you explained. "It all makes sense, you just don't want it to," you added, laughter bubbling up in your throat. You took the chance and finally looked at the others, anyone who hadn't already known about your mom was staring at you in a mix of shock and anger.
"So I'm your mom?"
"Yes," you nodded before he pulled you into a bone crushing hug. "Oh!"
"I'll be the mom you deserve," he told you.
You laughed, full on doubled over laughter. The only problem is that Pete and Tom knew it was going to happen so they were both holding onto your forearms and shoulders to keep you upright as much as possible. "You accepted it," you gasped as you calmed down. "Oh I need to change your name in my phone to Mama Mav," you told him.
"I wanted to be your actual brother," Bradley cut in.
"Two ways to fix this," you told him, holding up two fingers. "One, we agree that we just have two moms and two dads," you told him. "Two, you get my real mother to legally disown me and have your parents adopt me," you added.
"Or hear me out, we just claim we were adopted into two different families."
"You look way too much like your father for that."
"Fair, ok, um," Bradley was thinking and you pursed your lips.
"How about we just don't question the family tree and say we're siblings?"
"I like that one," Bradley pointed at you. You looked around and everyone else was still frozen.
"I think I broke your aviators," you told Pete.
"Yeah, I think we're done for the day. Your mom contacting you takes priority," he answered.
"I don't think that's how it works, but ok," you shrugged.
"I say that's how it works, so that's how it works," Tom said.
"You abuse your power sometimes, actually, a lot when it comes to me," you pointed out.
"You're my daughter, of course I do," he replied and you gasped.
"Everyone heard it, it was real! He called me his daughter!" you cheered, jumping a little.
"We are never hearing the end of this, are we?" Bradley asked, throwing his arm around your shoulders to stop you from jumping.
"Nope, dad called me his daughter so now I call him dad," you smiled. Bob was still staring at you, his lips turned upwards at your happiness but he couldn't stop thinking about what he just learned.
✧°˖ . ݁˖︵‿❀‿︵˖ . ݁˖°✧
Bob was a patient man, he was very level headed, but there was only so much he could deal with. And any aggression or disrespect towards you was something he couldn't deal with. Bob let Tom handle Twit, Bob kept his cool when Bradley was announcing what your mom had done and said, he had even managed to not show his anger when Pete added to it. But now with you in his living room while wearing only his shirt after he fucked your brains out, there was only so much he could handle. And thinking about what he learned today while looking at how comfortable and cute you were, something snapped within him.
Bob got up from the couch, reluctantly pulling away from you as he did so. "Where are you going?" you asked, your voice quiet but raspy from the overuse it went through. Bob didn't answer you, he just walked away. "Bobby?" You tilted your head as he pulled his phone out and tapped his screen a few times before holding it up to his ear.
"Hi, Mrs. Rosewood," Bob said and you stood up to follow him into the hallway that led to his bedroom. "I was calling to ask you some questions," there was a pause and you stopped following Bob as he started pacing back and forth. You leaned against the wall at the end of the hallway, as you watched him talk. "Did you really call Sunny a whore?" You stood up straight again and started to walk to him again. "No, she didn't tell me. Actually, I didn't know you weren't talking to her until after I graduated TOP GUN," he said and you were trying to stop him.
"Bobby, it's ok," you whispered, but Bob only held you to him as he kept talking.
"I found out because she told other people who ended up telling me," he told her, pausing as your mom spoke. "Who did she tell? The people who kept her happy and loved her while you abandoned her," his voice was icy and you reached for the phone, but Bob shook his head. "I didn't abandon her, at any point she could have contacted me and I would have dropped everything to get to her," Bob admitted. "And what did you do? You blocked her, made Mr. Rosewood block her, and threatened Marcus to do the same."
You heard your mom yelling, but you didn't want to. "Bobby," you called his name again, his eyes went back to you. "It's ok, you can do this later," you told him, practically pleading really. Bob thought about it before he hung up, not actually wanting to but wanting to make you happy.
Bob stared at you for a moment before speaking. "I'm sorry," he muttered, dipping his head to lean his forehead against yours. "I just can't stand what she's done to you and just seeing you so content while thinking about what's happened made me mad," he admitted.
You stared up at him with wide eyes before smiling. "It's not your fault, you know? Carole's right about a lot of things, and she told me that if my mom was willing to ghost me over a break up she would have found another reason eventually," you told Bob.
"Just, I don't know," he sighed a little. "Maybe if I had convinced you to stay or if I hadn't decided on aviation, you would have had more time with her." Bob pulled his head away from your forehead, guilt you didn't know about eating at him.
The look you gave Bob was one he's seen before but never directed towards him, he decided he never wanted to be on the receiving end of it again. "No, I made my choice and we both know you couldn't have convinced my stubborn ass of anything," you said. "You going aviation is what makes you you, you wouldn't be Bob Floyd without it."
"I'd still be Robert Floyd."
"You know what I mean, you are who you are because of your job. Just like I am who I am because of mine," you told him. "We would still be Bobby and Sunny, but we wouldn't be us," you raised an eyebrow at him. "We can thank Carole, again, for that wonderful insight," you added.
Bob laughed a little. "Carole tells you a lot of insightful stuff, huh?"
"She's good like that," you shrugged.
"I'm sorry for just calling your mother like that," Bob apologized again. "Can you ever forgive me?"
"What a silly question," you muttered, leaning in to kiss him. "There's nothing to forgive you for."
✧°˖ . ݁˖︵‿❀‿︵˖ . ݁˖°✧
You were staring at your dresses, Bob hadn't chosen which outfit he wanted to wear. He claimed it was too hard picking a favorite when everything was made by your hands, Jake called him pussy whipped and Bob didn't deny it. "You truly have no opinion on any of these?" You looked over your shoulder to Bob, he was leaning against the doorway of the extra room of your house.
Bob pushed off the doorway to stand behind you, his hands snaking around your waist. "My favorite is currently in your closet waiting for our wedding, so no," he told you.
"There's not even a second favorite?" You looked back at them.
"The sliver colored one is nice," he told you and you smiled over your shoulder at him.
"Then that's the one I'll wear," you kissed him before pulling away. "You know which suit of yours matches, right?"
"If I say no, does that mean I can get ready here?"
"You're getting ready here no matter what, I made that decision for you," you smiled at him as you started putting up the extra dresses, already mentally preparing the accessories and makeup you would do.
"And if you had decided but I didn't want to get ready with you?" Bob watched as you blinked at him once, twice, three times. Bob was about to apologize before you grabbed a pillow and threw it at him. Bob caught the pillow as it bounced off his chest and you were running away, your laughter trailing behind you.
Bob chased after you, the pillow discarded back on your bed. You were descending the stairs and when you saw Bob starting to go down, you jumped the last few steps. "You won't catch me!" you shouted, rounding the corner into the living room.
You squealed when you felt your feet leave the ground for a moment as Bob's around wrapped around you. "I caught you," he muttered right next to your ear. Instead of hitting you with a pillow, Bob just held you tighter.
"Where's the pillow?"
"I'm not hitting you with a pillow," he muttered.
You smiled at him over your shoulder again. "Does this mean you also won't shoot me with a Nerf gun?"
"Are you planning on trying to finally win one?"
You paused for a moment, Bob had caught onto what you were trying to do. "I'll take that as a no," you muttered, laughing when Bob lightly tickled your sides.
✧°˖ . ݁˖︵‿❀‿︵˖ . ݁˖°✧
You and Bob were in your room getting ready for the gala. You had already put on your dress while you watched Bob button up his black button up. His pants and matching jacket were a matte silver, the same dark shade as your dress. "I know I said I didn't have a preference for what you picked, but I'm glad you didn't pick any of the red shirt options," you told him.
"Why?" Bob looked over at you.
"We wouldn't have made it to the gala," you simply told him, walking over to grab your shoes.
"Baby, you can't just say that," Bob groaned before walking to you, he pressed a kiss to your exposed shoulder. Bob turned you by your waist to face him. "Do you have your jewelry already picked out?"
"I do, why?" you questioned, intrigued.
"Do you have space for more?" Bob slowly but surely got down on one knee.
"Bobby?"
"I have a whole speech, but I won't make you cry before the gala," Bob let you know. "So, will you marry me?" The ring was simple but you loved it, it was just one big diamond on a band.
"I'm gonna cry anyway," you told him, fanning your face to try and dry your tears before they could fully fall. "But yes, I will marry you," you smiled, falling to your knees to give him a kiss. "Bradley, Pete, and Tom are going to be so mad that they weren't here to witness this," you laughed as Bob slipped the ring on.
"They can be there for the next one," he muttered.
"Next one?"
"I have a speech after all," he smiled as he grabbed you to stand up.
You were still teary eyed as you went back to getting ready. You tried your hardest to not let the tears fall. Bob was watching you the whole time. "You're very sparkly," Bob said, having watched you put on every sparkly piece of jewelry and spray yourself with some glitter spray.
"Not as sparkly as this," you flashed him the ring, making both of you laugh and smile.
✧°˖ . ݁˖︵‿❀‿︵˖ . ݁˖°✧
Your heels clicked as you walked into the gala with Bob, both of you heading straight to your friends. "Hey," you smiled at them. You knew how the lights were hitting you, there was one light hitting you directly. Each of your diamonds were glittering in the light and you knew it.
"Do I want to know how expensive your outfit is right now?" Natasha questioned, giving you a glance up and down.
"More than yours but not by much," you told her with a smile.
"I'm scared to know what that means based on your shoes," her eyes were on the red bottoms.
"Yours is completely one of a kind, handmade, and all your jewelry pieces were designed by me. Everything is also Bane Collective, that dress itself is 9,000 dollars," you raised your eyebrow.
"What the fuck," Javy raised his eyebrows. "Do we want to know the cost of the rest of our outfits?"
"No, you really don't," you told them, a scrunch in your nose.
"I would like to know about that ring," Bradley grabbed your left hand and held it up to his face.
"I've known what that ring has been since the academy," Mickey smiled a shit eating grin.
You whipped your head over to him. "What?"
Mickey walked over and took your hand away from Bradley to look at the ring himself. "Yeah, I helped Bob pick it out in the academy," Mickey told you.
You looked at Bob, your eyes wide. "You've had it this long?" you asked and Bob nodded while he moved to stand directly at your side. Some of your glitter rubbed off onto his jacket as he wrapped his arm around you and settled his hand on your hip.
"I've known I've wanted to marry you since we were little, I was just waiting for you to be ready," Bob admitted, your heart melting.
By the time everyone had looked at your ring, someone had walked up and started talking to the group. You stood at Bob's side, your attention half on what the man was saying and half on the growing collection of stars in the sky that you could see through the window. You were drawn back to the conversation by the man asking Bob a question and Bob gently squeezing your hip. "How long have you two been together?" he asked, you didn't like the sharp edge of his smile.
"Since sophomore year of high school," Bob replied, you half expected him to mention that you two weren't talking for years.
"Oh, and you're only just engaged?" His smile went to a smirk and you watched the way that everyone stood straighter.
"It's kinda hard to find the perfect time to propose when your girl is off being a COO," Bob narrowed his eyes slightly. His words were sharp, daring the man to continue.
"Could have just gotten married at the courthouse," he shrugged and you cut in before someone else could.
"Just because it's clear you don't love your wife, doesn't mean everyone else doesn't," you clocked his wedding ring and you watched as he spun it at your words. "Bob knows me, he's known me literally our entire lives. He knows I haven't had time for much until recently, and you'd probably figure that out if you did more than just try and cause shit," you pulled away from Bob and took a few steps until you were right in front of him, your heels clicking with each step and your perfectly manicured finger lightly poking his chest. "But I do have to thank you," you took his right hand with yours and shook it gently, dropping the finger that had been poking him to box his right hand between both of yours. "You being an asshole and pissing Bob off will lead to the best dicking down of my life tonight. So by all means," you stepped back to Bob as you let go of his hand, a smirk on your face, "continue."
The silence that followed wasn't silent, there was stifled laughter from the others around you before the man walked away while grumbling about how it wasn't worth it. "Yeah, you're worse than Hangman," Bob sighed and you smiled up at him.
"I feel like we're missing something," Jake spoke, slightly offended that he was being used as a measurement.
"Sunny told off one of my neighbors after she hit on me, questioned our relationship, and called Sunny a bitch," Bob replied.
"I also told her that we had a reservation with our bed and heavily implied that Bob has complete control in the bedroom," you smiled.
"Yeah, ok," Natasha nodded before echoing Bob's words, "you're worse than Hangman." Not even Jake could argue with that, you were worse than him.
✧°˖ . ݁˖︵‿❀‿︵˖ . ݁˖°✧
You were staring at the door of Bob's apartment, you didn't think he would say no but you couldn't be too sure. Not after all the years of heartbreak you've caused him, but you so desperately wanted Bob to say yes.
You had reached up to knock on his door but paused, you could chicken out and walk away. Bob would never know you were standing there, but then the door swung open and Bob was standing there with a small smile. "I was just coming to see you!" Bob announced as he saw you, your hand still raised to knock on his door.
You blinked a few times at him, a smile slowly spreading across your face. "Oh, I came here to see you," you said as if he didn't know.
Bob gave you a big smile and took your hand to lead you inside. "I have something to ask," Bob announced, still holding your hand as he sat down with you on the couch.
Your smile got even bigger as his smile did. "Which is?"
Bob held both of your hands, trying to keep his smile from getting even wider. "My lease is coming up and I was thinking that since we're engaged," Bob paused, trying to school his face from smiling wider. "What would you think about me moving in?"
You blinked at Bob, your smile getting wider as you realized he wanted the same thing he did. "That's what I came over to ask you!" You laughed a little, leaning closer to him. "I wanted you to move in with me!"
Bob laughed with you, leaning in closer to kiss you. "I'm glad we're on the same page," Bob said after the kiss was over.
You looked around Bob's apartment, you'd miss this place. It was the start of your relationship this time around, but it wasn't home. It wasn't home to either of you, and you both knew that. "When does your lease end?"
"In two weeks," Bob replied.
"The perfect amount of time for us to move everything to my house."
"What about my mattress and bed?"
"I have three guest rooms, the one that is actually a guest room, one that I converted to a sewing room, and one that is empty and needs a reason."
Bob smiled at you, his cheeks rosy from excitement. "Perfect, I have boxes in my extra room," Bob admitted and you laughed a little.
"Let's get you moved into my house," you stood, gently pulling Bob to stand with you.
✧°˖ . ݁˖︵‿❀‿︵˖ . ݁˖°✧
Bob was standing in your extra guest room, the one that held your old decorations and photos in boxes. You had forgotten you never took them to a storage unit and now Bob had seen them. "Ok, so I can explain," you mumbled, looking at Bob as you walked into the room.
Bob looked back to you from the boxes he had been looking at. "You don't have to," Bob said and you shook your head.
"No, no, I think I do. Especially considering how many of those have your name on them," you went to the boxes and opened one of them. "When I was trying to get over you, I thought taking down everything that reminded me of you would help. There are some clothes in here too," you added, pulling out an old photo. It was the one that Carole had gushed over the first time she had ever been in your house.
Bob walked over to you, wrapping his arms around his waist. "I get it, I do," Bob mumbled against the skin of your shoulder before placing a kiss there.
You ran your thumb over the two of you in the photo, an idea coming to your mind. "Do you want to look through these with me? Choose a few to get put back up?"
Bob smiled at the thought, you could feel it against your skin. "Are you sure?"
"Mhm, the reason I put them away doesn't really mean anything anymore," you told him, placing the photo back in the box. Bob hummed, pulling you closer to him and moving his lips up to your neck instead of your shoulder. "What are you doing?"
Bob didn't answer you right away, he just placed a few more kisses to your neck before trailing them up to your ear. "I just got to move in with my fiancée, I think that's cause for celebration," Bob said and you let out a little laugh.
"And that's what you want to talk about instead of the fact that I hid everything that reminded me of you?"
"Mm, there doesn't have to be talking right now," Bob smiled as you let out an even more breathy laugh.
"There does eventually," you mumbled as Bob spun you around and planted his lips on yours. "Definitely later," you melted into him as he pulled your hips to his.
✧°˖ . ݁˖︵‿❀‿︵˖ . ݁˖°✧
You were laying with Bob, your head on his chest and your finger trailing shapes on his abs. "We should move things into the house, we left your truck unlocked," you mumbled even as you felt the ache between your legs.
Bob's chuckle rumbled through his chest and into your head. "That's what you're thinking about? Us moving my stuff?"
It was your turn to laugh. "Yes, I am," you nodded a little, your fingers still trailing over Bob's abs. "Sue me for wanting to live with my fiancé," you mumbled.
Bob smiled down at you, trailing the same shapes you were tracing on him on your hip. "I was the one who brought it up," he countered.
"Hey," you looked up at him. "I was at your apartment to ask you the same thing," you shot back, an eyebrow raised.
"I beat you to it!"
"Whatever," you mused, rolling your eyes with a smile. "But I am hungry, so we should get out of bed so I can at least eat," you added, pulling away from him.
Bob only held you closer to him. "Let me help you up," he pressed a kiss to your forehead before getting out of bed. You watched him slide on his boxers before reaching for you. You grabbed his hands, a smile on your face as he pulled you out of bed before slipping his shirt on over your head.
You followed him out of the room, down your stairs, and to your kitchen, "There's leftovers in my fridge," you said.
Bob shook his head as he led you to sit on a chair at your island. "Is there anything you want me to make?"
You thought about it, humming a little while you did so. "Pancakes, but the ones you made with the vanilla and cinnamon that one time," you rested your chin on your hand as you looked at him.
Bob smiled at you, a little laugh escaping him. "You called them dessert pancakes if I remember correctly," Bob started grabbing things anyway.
You nodded, watching as he moved around like he was meant to be there. "Mhm, I did," you smiled as you kept watching him. "I could get used to this sight," you muttered, your eyes tracing the way his muscles rippled with his movements.
Bob glanced at you, his glasses gently slipping down his nose. "Used to what?"
You moved your eyes back to Bob's from his biceps. "You in my kitchen in nothing but boxers," you explained, your smile soft.
There was a soft smile on Bob's face too. "Yeah, I could get used to this too."
✧°˖ . ݁˖︵‿❀‿︵˖ . ݁˖°✧
As you lived, you kept learning you are more naive than you thought you were. Like you naively thought that since you and Bob were together again, nothing bad would happen. Clearly you forgot the nature of his job.
Bob woke up disoriented and in a hospital, but his first question wasn't where he was or if he was ok or even if Natasha was ok. It was if you were there, if you were in the waiting room sitting with the others and waiting to see him.
Bob loved you, that was obvious to anyone, but this was more than love. This was fear, this was Bob remembering you left him the first time because you were scared of losing him. This was Bob hoping that you would be there and would let him still love you for the rest of your lives.
When the others walked in, you weren't there. Everyone else was even Natasha was ok enough to visit his room, granted she was in a wheelchair. But you weren't there and Bob was panicking. His heart started racing and he started stumbling over his words trying to find out where you were.
Then you walked in with panic on your face. "Bobby?" your voice soft as you pushed past the others to get next to him. "It's ok, you're ok," you mumbled, brushing your hand over his forehead to push some hair back before grabbing his glasses and putting them on his face.
Bob blinked at you, his heart slowing when he realized you were here. You were right in front of him and you didn't leave him this time. "You're here, you didn't leave me," he muttered and you gently kissed his forehead.
"I didn't leave this time, I'm staying forever," you muttered against the skin of his forehead before pulling away. The others moved closer now that Bob was calm and not freaking out. "I was just in the bathroom," you explained why you weren't walking in with the others.
The mood lifted after that, you were there and Bob was calm. It allowed for the others to ask him if he was alright, as long as you were there holding his hand. If you left for any reason, Bob's heart rate would spike and he would be anxiously watching the door until you got back.
You limited your bathroom trips and the others would bring you food if they left for it, but it got even worse after visiting hours were up. The Daggers had left a little while ago, Natasha heading back to her room for the night. They were both being held overnight for observation and possibly most of the next day. Bob was holding onto your hand as you tried to convince him to let you go. "I'll be back tomorrow bright and early, it will almost be like I wasn't gone," you bargained.
Bob only shook his head at you, trying to pull you into the bed with him. "They won't even notice you, I'll keep you hidden by the blanket and everything," Bob countered and you sighed a little.
"Bob," you listened as his heart rate kicked up again. "Hey, hey, it's ok," you soothed, stepping closer to press a kiss to his forehead. "I promise I'll be back. I already got Mori to let me have all the days off I will be here. You don't have to be worried," you offered. There was a desperation in Bob's eyes that you had only seen a few times, you knew what this was even if he didn't want to voice it. "Bobby, I'm not leaving you this time," you stated with finality. "I'll be honest, I thought about it," you relented the information you've kept close to your chest all day. "My first instinct was to run again, but I'm here to stay this time. We are going to get married and we will have a kid or two."
"Or three, one boy, the oldest, and two girls," Bob whispered and you laughed a little.
"Yeah, or three. One boy who will protect his two little sisters with his whole being because he will learn that from you," you offered up. "But for that to happen, you have to know I'm not going anywhere this time. I know I did once, but I was younger and dumb and didn't realize that loving you with the fear of losing you is better than losing you without loving you," you whispered as you leaned in close. "But I have to go before they call security on me."
Bob finally let your hand slip from his, but not before connecting his lips to yours. "And you promise to be here as soon as you can tomorrow?" Bob whispered.
You smiled at your fiancé, a mix of sadness and joy. "I promise with all my heart," you mumbled.
✧°˖ . ݁˖︵‿❀‿︵˖ . ݁˖°✧
You woke up to the sound of your ringtone, you groaned when you looked at the clock on your nightstand and realized you had only been asleep for a few minutes. "Hello?" you groggily answered the phone, not even looking at the caller ID.
"Hi, is this y/n?" You sat up straight, pulling the phone away from your ear to see that it was the hospital.
"This is," you responded, the worst possible scenario playing in your head.
"This is Dani from NMCSD, I'm calling because it seems your fiancé's heart rate hasn't gone down since you left. Would it be possible for you to come stay the night?"
You blinked at the open space in front of you. "Yeah, yes," you mumbled, already unplugging your phone to get up. "I'll be there as soon as possible," you added.
"Thank you, and I'll see you soon," she replied before hanging up.
You rushed around your house to recollect your things and pack a bag of things you may need before rushing back out to the car. You had never once gotten so many green lights going somewhere as you did to get back to NMCSD, it was like the universe knew you needed to get there.
Dani met you at the entrance, a little lanyard in her hands. "Here," she handed it to you and you put it on. "This just lets the staff know you're allowed to stay," she explained.
You stepped into the room and saw Bob awake but staring up at the roof. He didn't even look at who walked in, he was just wide eyed at the roof with an elevated heart rate and an all around tense look. You gave Dani a small nod before she left. You noticed the small cot they brought in along with the linens and pillows laid out on it. "Bobby?" you softly called his name as you neared, your hand moving to brush his hair away from his forehead.
Bob blinked at you, his heart rate slowing back down to normal. "What are you doing here?" Bob sat up, reaching to pull you to him.
The side of the bed dug painfully into your hips, but you didn't pull away until Bob did. "Dani called me, I'm staying the night since your heart rate was so fast," you explained, pressing a kiss to his forehead.
"Oh, 'm sorry," Bob mumbled, looking a little embarrassed.
You only gave Bob a soft smile as you went to finish fixing the cot up for you to sleep in. "It's ok," you assured him, moving the cot closer to his bed. It was probably about a third of an inch shorter than the hospital bed, but it didn't even matter since you couldn't get it too close without impeding their access to Bob anyway.
Bob watched you with teary eyes, he had never been one to shy away from crying. You noticed them before he did though and you sighed lightly. You hated when Bob cried, unless it was because he was laughing so hard he couldn't help it, it broke your heart. "You said you thought about running again," Bob whispered as he watched you.
You realized that was probably what Bob had been thinking about when you walked in, the thing that had him so in his head he didn't even look at the door. "I did," you answered honestly.
"Why?" Bob's voice was broken, raw in a way you hated.
"Because you scared me, Bob," you moved to sit on the edge of his bed. "I got the call that you went down and that little dark part of my brain told me that's why I left you in the first place. That I couldn't handle it if you were gone," you explained.
"But you stayed," Bob pointed out.
"I know I did, it's because I wanted to stay. I fought against the part of me that told me to run because I love you. Even if that means I get a scary phone call once in a while, or if you come home smelling like jet fuel occasionally because you were too impatient to see me that you didn't shower before coming home."
The smile that spread on Bob's face was worth the rush to get here. "I miss you every time I'm not around you," he whispered.
You laughed before pressing one last kiss to Bob's lips and going to lay down on the cot. "I love you, Bobby," you mumbled, sleep pulling at the edges of your mind.
"I love you more, Sunny," Bob replied, watching as you slipped into slumber before following.
✧°˖ . ݁˖︵‿❀‿︵˖ . ݁˖°✧
When you woke up this time, it was to the sun on your face and Bob reading a book aloud. You blinked your eyes open and saw Bob was reading to your sleeping form. "You're awake," Bob smiled when he saw your eyes on him. You nodded at the man you were going to marry, blinking the sleep that clung to the edges of your mind away as you tried to remember where you were and why you were in a cot.
"I am, were you reading to the empty room?" you questioned as you remembered where you were and why you were there.
Bob sheepishly smiled at you, putting the book aside as you stood to stretch and join him in his bed. You tucked yourself into Bob's side as he wrapped his arm around you, his hand landing on your waist and his thumb rubbing the skin it rested on. "I was reading to you, I thought maybe it would give you better dreams," he admitted.
You smiled at him as you settled in as much as you could with the limited space. "Can't have better dreams if they're already about you," you mused, watching as his ears tinted pink.
A nurse walked in to you two talking on his bed, curled into each other while you giggled over whatever was being said. "Good morning," he smiled at the two of you. "I see that Dani ended up calling you. Good thing too, the vitals we pulled after you both went to bed were normal." You slipped out of the bed to allow the nurse to get Bob's vitals again. "Alright, if you can keep up these numbers then you can go home when Lieutenant Trace does," the nurse mused before leaving, making sure to tell you both when breakfast would come around unless the others showed up with breakfast. You hoped they did, you did not want to eat hospital food.
You slipped back into Bob's bed, your smile soft. "I can't wait to get back home," Bob sighed.
You pushed Bob's hair into place before responding. "Why's that?"
Bob gave you another smile, one that made your heart melt at the sight. "I miss being able to sleep next to you, I don't sleep as well without you," he explained.
You smiled at him, scrunching your nose at him just because you could. "That's cute," Jake's voice made you look over at the door. He was standing there with Bradley and Mickey, all of them holding something. "We brought breakfast though, so if you could refrain from making me vomit that would be greatly appreciated," he added, handing you the bag.
Much to Bob's dismay, you slipped back out of his bed to sit in a chair. "What's with the cot?" Mickey's eyes were on it and you looked over at him.
You blinked a few times, you were very obviously in pajamas and your hair was probably a little bit of a mess from not fixing it when you woke up. "I slept here last night," you informed the room.
Bradley smiled at the words, it started a little sweet but turned into a smirk. "Because Bob couldn't calm down?" Bradley teased.
"Exactly that," you told him, shooting him a look that told him to cut it out.
Bradley held his hands up, relenting his teasing in fear of what you'd do. "Good morning, boys," Natasha announced her presence, bee lining to sit in the chair next to you. "Good morning to my girlfriend too," she gave you and Bob a teasing wink.
You laughed gently, handing Natasha the last thing in the bag you knew was for her. Jake was smart enough to have them label the food with each of your names instead of what they were. "Good morning to my love affair," you gave her a wink back before looking towards Bob. "Sorry, Bobby, you saw this coming," you smiled at him while he just shook his head at your jokes.
"What else would I expect? If you'd leave me for any of them, it would be Phoenix," Bob joined in the teasing. You laughed with the group as everyone started digging into breakfast, no doubt starving. The others filtered in over the course of the next few minutes before everyone was sitting in Bob's hospital room.
✧°˖ . ݁˖︵‿❀‿︵˖ . ݁˖°✧
Bob was able to be sent home and was cleared to drive, so he ended up driving his truck home. You were already there when Bob got back, your car parked on your side of the driveway. Bob walked in to see you waiting at the door, your arms opening for a hug the second he walked through. Bob shut the door, locked the lock, and pulled you into a hug. His head tucked into your neck as you two stood there. Bob's ribs hurt, they were bruised after all, and so did his shoulder. But he stood there hugging you, he was waiting for you to pull away but you were waiting for him to pull away.
It wasn't until your phone rang on the counter that you pulled away from Bob, him not far behind you. You picked up your phone and stared at the contact while Bob wrapped his arms around you from behind. You knew Bob could see your screen, you knew he wasn't happy about the caller ID. "Are you going to answer?" he asked, his voice soft.
You blinked at your phone, your mom had called you a handful of times since learning you and Bob were engaged. You answered once, when you were at your weekly lunch with Tom, and she tried to justify her behavior so she could be at the wedding. "I don't think so," you muttered, placing your phone down to turn in Bob's arms. "She doesn't deserve my attention like that, at least not anymore," you said, it was what everyone had been telling you.
Bob leaned down to place his forehead against yours. "Mhm," he hummed in agreement as he slowly swayed you side to side with him.
You smiled up at him, your arms wrapping around his neck. "Are we dancing?" you asked, your smile soft.
Bob returned your soft smile, the two of you swaying to music in Bob's head. "We are," he affirmed.
You laughed gently, pressing a kiss to Bob's lips. "Is this you trying to distract me from the phone call or the fact your plane went down?"
Bob gave you a sheepish smile, having been caught red handed. "Both," he admitted, slowly coming to a stop.
You faux gasped as Bob stopped, making him sway with you again. "I didn't say to stop, I love dancing with you," you told him, his smile wider at your words. "We should talk about you going down though," you muttered. "We don't want you to internalize it too much."
Bob gave you a nod, understanding what you meant. "We will, I promise," he assured you.

You agreed to meet the Daggers at The Hard Deck after work, but you should have said an hour later than you did. Because now you were sitting in your car with your work outfit on hoping it was too formal. You were messing with the buttons of your shirt when you got an idea, you looked around and noticed no one was in the parking lot. You had never been more thankful for a lace bra than you were at the moment, it was the same dark red you were quickly realizing was your signature color and the same red as your signature lip. You slipped your suit jacket back on and stepped out of the car.
Your boss paid you too much for your job, but you were thankful when you remembered you were wearing your red bottoms and it pulled the whole look together. You glanced at your reflection in the window and smiled, you looked good. You added more depth and darkness to your smokey eye after all the meetings you had to attend that morning and you got away with your normal dark red lip.
Bradley and the others were in the back by the pool tables and you quickened your pace to get to them. "What do you do for work that allows you to wear that?" Natasha laughed, taking in the black suit with the dark red lace bra.
You laughed at her words before answering. "There's a shirt in my car, I figured this was less corporate," you gestured to your lack of shirt and she nodded a little, her eyebrow raised.
"Can we ban you from wearing shirts? Is that allowed?"
"Absolutely not!" Bradley shouted, his eyes firmly on your face. "This is pushing it, button up your jacket," he pointed at you but you raised an eyebrow.
"I could have gone just topless," you shot back, settling yourself into the open seat next to Bob. With both of your laps hidden by the table, Bob reached out and grasped your upper thigh.
"Whatever," Bradley rolled his eyes and offered to go get you a drink, which you nodded at.
Bradley returned with your drink by the time someone got curious enough to ask about your job for real. "What do you do for work?" Mickey leaned forward in the booth.
"Oh, I'm the COO at Bane Collective," you told them. "Well, I am now. I started out with managing and collecting data, then I was the director for that whole department. Then I got another promotion about three months after I met Javy," you clarified, you did have a computer statistic degree you were proud of.
"Wait, you work for Moriana Bane?" Natasha stopped playing pool to look over at you.
"She's my boss, technically she's also my friend," you shrugged. "Why?"
"It just explains your style so much. You work for one of the biggest fashion companies in America," Natasha told you. "She's an icon."
"She also pays me entirely too much," you told Natasha.
"Too much? What's too much?" Mickey asked.
You reached under the table and pulled your shoe off, showing the red bottoms of them. "Enough that these aren't my only pair," you told him.
"Those are in such nice condition," Natasha mused.
"They're new, my other ones are beat to shit. I want the Miss Zs so I don't have to worry as much," you slipped your shoe back on and settled your hand over the one Bob has yet to move from your leg.
"You're speaking a language I never thought I'd witness," Mickey mused and you laughed.
"It's called I have more money than I know what to do with," you told them before getting an idea. "Actually, I know what to do with some of it," you gently got up and walked to the bar.
Penny glanced at you before telling you that she'd be right there. You only nodded and let her deal with the swarm of customers. "Alright, what can I do for you?"
You reached into your pocket and pulled your card out. "All their drinks are officially on me," you told her, you didn't need to clarify who you were talking about.
"Yes, ma'am," she nodded with a smile. You had told her once while she was with Pete, you, and Tom that you had entirely too much money for one person.
You walked back over to the Daggers who were all just staring at you slack jawed. "You did not," Bradley muttered but you nodded.
"All drinks are on me tonight, so by all means, get shitfaced," you told them and smiled as they all thought of the different drinking games they could do.
You sat back down next to Bob, and with everyone talking you two had your own bubble. "They're going to spend so much of your money," he warned.
"I'm counting on it," you replied, facing him as best you could in the booth seat.
"I know you said you want to wait until you find yourself, but where do hook ups fall on your list of waiting?"
You let out an incredulous laugh. "Why do you ask?"
"You're sitting here shirtless and you expect me to not get hard?" Bob took your free hand and rested it on his growing bulge. You would have gasped if not for the close proximity to your group of friends.
You gave him a small squeeze before pulling your hand away, relishing in the groan you pulled from his throat. "I think we can come to an agreement on something," you told him, refocusing your attention as someone tried to pull you two into the ongoing conversation.
✧°˖ . ݁˖︵‿❀‿︵˖ . ݁˖°✧
You smiled at the email you had gotten before walking out of your office and down the hall to Moriana's. "Hey, Mori?"
Moriana looked up from her sketch book to you. "Yes, Bumble?"
"I got an email from the Commander of the US Pacific Fleet," you explained, she raised an eyebrow and realized you were talking professionally for a reason. "He would like to know if we'd be willing to design and make outfits for the new special squadron based out of here, VF-1 Daggers, for a gala they have to attend," you told her.
"Are they paying?" she asked.
"They're willing to work on pricing, but honestly I'll pay if I have to," you told her but she waved your idea off.
"If money is coming out of anyone's pocket it's mine," she told you, standing to walk with you back to your office. "You tell your friend that we will make them 6 outfits each, accessories included, for free. All we need is their sizing for outfits and shoes," she told you.
You looked at her before nodding. "Are you sure you don't want to at least split the cost? 54 outfits is quite a bit of outfits," you told her.
"It's fine, I make more than enough. Alright, we need to start on designs anyway. So send that email and meet me in the drawing room, we will work on these personally," she told you and you nodded, quickly responding to Tom's email in a professional manner before running off to the drawing room.
✧°˖ . ݁˖︵‿❀‿︵˖ . ݁˖°✧
Bradley was moving out of your house and you were only thankful so you could work on some of the outfits at your house. They were still being kept a secret from the Daggers, they all thought they were going to have to wear their dress whites or something. "Are you going to miss me?" Bradley asked.
"I'll see you practically everyday anyway," you told him, helping him put boxes in his truck. You still had to actually change, so you were in dark green oversized, baggy sweatpants and a matching cropped tank top. The material was soft and fluffy, almost like a blanket, and you loved it.
"But we won't be under the same roof anymore," he dramatically said.
"Oh my God, Bradley, it's fine. We literally have only been living together for like 2 months," you told him with a huff of a laugh.
"Fine, but when you want a midnight snack just remember you didn't want me here," he dramatically sniffed and you smacked his arm. "The others are here," he told you and you looked up. A small army of cars were pulling up to your house and you smiled.
There weren't a lot of Bradley's things at your house, but everyone offered to converge at your house to condense into a few cars and all go to his storage unit to grab all his things. "Hey, welcome!" you called to them.
Natasha was the first to get to you and pulled you into a hug, you've given her a lot since learning her parents kicked her out for being gay when she was 16. "Sorry we're early," she apologized as she pulled away.
"So you do wear a color other than red," Jake joked.
"Haha, very funny," you deadpanned, giving his arm a small punch. "Of course I wear other colors, red is just my favorite I guess," you shrugged. "I'll go change, the rest of you can help Bradley with the rest of his boxes in the garage," you told them, turning on your heel and heading inside.
You heard quick footsteps before Bob's voice was right behind you as you opened the door. "I told them I needed to use the bathroom," he told you, pulling you to him as soon as you were both out of their eyesight.
"You lied?" you teased right before his lips landed on yours.
"I wanted to see how different your house looks," he admitted, pulling away and walking around.
"Ok, you can snoop but I'm going to change. So I wouldn't look in my room unless you want a show," you teased with a wink, walking off.
Bob looked around your living room and noticed a lack of photos, last time he was there you had photos everywhere. Granted it has been years since he graduated TOP GUN, but still you took them all down. Bob made his way back towards the rooms and he noted the lack of things on your walls again. It was like you removed everything that reminded you of him, but you did tell him you tried to move on.
Bob reached your room as you were digging in your dresser in nothing but a matching light pink set with little flowers embroidered on it. "Jesus Christ," he muttered and you looked over to him as he walked to you. "You're really gonna to torture me by lettin' me know you're wearin' that under your clothin', pretty girl?" You smiled as you heard his accent slip out.
"I think you'd say that even if I was wearing plain white cotton," you said, letting his hands roam over you.
"Fuck, you're right, I would," he dipped his head down to kiss the exposed swell of your breast. Much to Bob's dismay, you pulled away from him and went back to digging around. That was the farthest you two have gone since his truck, the last time was just the two of you dry humping.
You grabbed a pair of leather shorts and slipped them on before walking to your closet. Bob followed closely behind you, his eyes trained on the way you were swaying your hips with each step. You were scanning through your shirts when Bob's arm reached out right by your head and grabbed one for you. You took it from him and spun to face him with narrowed eyes. The shirt was the same dark blue he was wearing, and you could tell he knew by the smirk he was wearing. "This one?" you needlessly asked as you eyed it. You haven't worn it in a minute, it was a fake corset top with a low square neckline and straps just thick enough to cover your bra straps.
"That one," Bob confirmed, you hummed before slipping it on. You moved to your vanity and did a quick dark blue smokey eye before adding a lip stain and a glittery gloss.
You were adding your jewelry when your shoe choice popped into your head. "Bobby? Will you grab me my dark blue heeled boots?"
Bob did as you asked and brought them over, along with the socks you had left on top of your dresser. "Here," Bob had you spin to face him and he put your socks and shoes on.
Bradley walked into the sight and you gave him a smile. "I'm just glad I didn't find you in a state of undress," he joked before narrowing his eyes at your shoes. "You're not planning on helping us move furniture, are you?"
"You're all in the Navy, I'm just a COO at a company. I don't do manual labor, Bradley," you said as you grasped Bob's awaiting hand to pull you up.
Bradley huffed a laugh while shaking his head. "Then what are you coming for?"
"Emotional support, encouragement, buy the food and drinks when everyone gets hungry. You know, the important things," you smirked at his exasperated sigh as you all walked out.
"We're they fucking?" Jake asked as you three walked up. You knew it was only a matter of time before the others picked up on the fact that you two were still in love, it wasn't too shocking when those jokes started.
"No, worse," Bradley joked. "They were being domestic and Bob was putting her shoes on for her."
"Awe, does Bob want to put my shoes on for me?" Mickey joked and you cut in before Bob could.
"Hey, get your own personal slave. This one happens to be my favorite," you joked, patting Bob's head as you spoke.
"I could outbid you," Mickey challenged.
"I could outbid all of you," you narrowed your eyes.
"I saw her shoes, she has a whole collection of red bottoms," Bradley announced, his face screwed up. "She really would outbid all of us on anything."
"I'm stupidly rich and don't know what to do with it," you smiled.
"Maybe get a new car," Jake looked at yours and you gasped at him.
"Hey, I've had this car since I could drive," you pointed at it. "Plus, it works better than it ever has."
"Seriously?" Bob asked, he knew the history with your car. How after one bumpy road in your third year of college it was on the verge of a breakdown, the reason you hadn't been able to afford maintenance when you first moved out to San Diego.
"Yep, I got Pete to mess around with it. It's as good as new," you smiled.
"Speaking of Mav," Bradley announced as Pete pulled up on his motorcycle.
Pete took one look at your shoes before raising an eyebrow. "You actually got Bradley to let you not move things?"
"I didn't give him a choice," you corrected, a smirk painted on your lips.
Bradley narrowed his eyes at you, fake annoyance on his face. "Oh this was planned? How long have you been planning this?" You only shrugged, letting Bradley come to his own conclusion while everyone went to the car they were riding in.
✧°˖ . ݁˖︵‿❀‿︵˖ . ݁˖°✧
Bradley's house wasn't far from yours, the perfect distance between your house, his parent's, Pete's, and Tom's. You narrowed your eyes at him when you realized. "You're trying to be the house that everyone goes to, aren't you?" you accused him as his parents pulled up.
"I would never," he threw his arm around your shoulders and started walking up the driveway, pulling you with him. "Hey!" Bradley called to his parents as they got out of Nick's truck. Seriously, what is up with men and trucks?
You let Bradley drag you around as he gave everyone a tour of his house, your smile easy on your face. Everyone started their drives to his storage locker, but you stayed behind and started unpacking some of his boxes.
You started with his kitchen ones, those had just been sitting in your garage. As you were unloading them, you put things up based on the instructions he had left you. However, you did hand wash all his cooking utensils as well as his pots and pans. They were clean, but they had also been in boxes and you couldn't, in good conscience, just let him use them. "We're back!" You heard Bradley announce and you smiled to yourself as you heard footsteps.
"Welcome back," you greeted them as they all started to bring things in. Carole walked into the kitchen and started helping you unload boxes.
You saw her glance around before turning to you. "I talked to Bob," she started and you nodded slowly. "He talks about you as if you raise the sun just for him each morning," she told you.
"Oh?" You looked over to where Bob was holding up half the couch by himself. His biceps were straining against the blue shirt he was wearing.
"Yeah," she nodded, a smile on her face. "Have you finally put both of you out of your misery and told him you still love him?"
You looked at her a little confused before glancing at Bradley, you guess he never told his parents. "I have," you nodded before continuing. "I also told him I wanted to find out who I am before getting back together."
Carole pursed her lips together for a moment before stepping closer and taking your hands in hers. "Have you stopped to think that there's no you without him?" she asked, her voice thoughtful as she gave your hands a light squeeze. "You grew up together, you spent your formative years with him. Without him, you probably would be a completely different person," she wisely told you. "Maybe there is a version of you out there that has no influence of Robert Floyd, but she's not the y/n standing in front of me. And if I meet her, I'll love her all the same, but she won't be you," Carole let go of your hands. "But that's just a thought," she waved it off before leaving to go help Nick with unpacking Bradley's books.
You were still standing in Bradley's kitchen, staring at the space Carole had been, when Natasha walked in. "Are you ok?" Natasha stepped into your eyesight and you nodded.
"Yeah, Carole just told me something I've never thought about. What do you need?" you deflected from talking about it, you needed to think some more about her words.
"Jake's complaining about being hungry but won't come tell you even though Bradley keeps telling him to," she explained with a roll of her eyes.
"I can order pizza, I just need people's preferred toppings," you told her, pulling your phone out of your pocket.
"You can just get pepperoni and cheese, the boys aren't picky," she waved it off and you nodded.
✧°˖ . ݁˖︵‿❀‿︵˖ . ݁˖°✧
"Pizza's here!" you shouted as you had Pete and Nick helped you bring it in. Next thing you knew, you had a herd of hungry aviators crowding around the three of you just waiting for the pizzas to be set down and the boxes to be opened.
"Let's not forget to give Bob his crispy pepperoni," Jake joked and you scrunched your brows in confusion but said nothing. "We don't want a repeat of last time," he added, lighting a round of laughter in the group.
You hung back, letting them all get their preferred slices. You didn't even care if you got the crispiest pepperonis, you just wanted everyone fed. "I come bearing drinks!" You heard Tom announce his presence and everyone cheered.
Bob walked up to you with two plates, one with crispy pepperoni and one with normal looking slices. He handed you the one with the crispy pepperoni and flashed you a smile. You took it from him, giving him a smile that was exactly the same as the one you used to give him when your smile was more gum than teeth. "Did he just? Last time- He-" Jake kept restarting his sentences while everyone, minus the older adults, looked with dropped jaws.
"What?" you asked, biting your pizza and enjoying your crispy pepperoni.
"Last time we had pizza, Bob basically bit our heads off for taking the pieces with the crispy pepperoni. But he just gave them to you?" Jake waved his hand around you and pursed your lips.
"Bob's always given me the crispy pepperoni, ever since we were kids," you told them, glancing at Bob who was already staring at you with a smile.
"The olive theory!" Mickey announced and you laughed a little.
"The olive theory? What's the olive theory?" Tom asked.
"It's from How I Met Your Mother. There's this married couple, Marshall and Lily, Marshall always gave Lily his olives because she loved them and he hated them. The catch? Marshall also loved olives, he just loved Lily more," you explained to Tom.
"Exactly, the olive theory," Mickey said, his voice triumphant while you laughed with everyone else.
The conversation moved on but you kept thinking. The olive theory, huh? You grabbed one of your slices and swapped it with Bob's, a smile painting your lips as you did so. You liked the theory and your crispy pepperoni, but you loved Bob more.

You were alone in your house for only a few days before Carole's words finally hit a peak. What parts of you were because you grew up with Bob? You knew how to cook most of your meals because of Maria Floyd. You enjoyed nonfiction books because they're all Bob would read for a while. You understood baseball because it was Bob's favorite sport and you ended up loving it too. Your favorite baseball team was the Royals because Maria came from Kansas and it was the team you rooted for with Bob.
You were who you were because of Bob, there wouldn't be you without him. There was no version of you without him, and if there was you didn't want to be her. You liked who you were, you liked all those small things that are because of him.
However, you also liked that you could now open your own doors without pausing, you liked that you could decorate your house without the constant reminders of your childhood. You liked that you have found yourself, you just didn't realize it until Carole pointed it out. And you needed to tell Bob, you needed to go get the love of your life back. You needed to let him know his wait was over, you were getting the life you were always meant to have back in your grasp.
You quickly shoved on some shoes, grabbed your purse and keys, and ran out the front door. You had to get to Bob's apartment as soon as possible.
Bob's apartment building wasn't far from your house, only a five minute drive. But it was five minutes too long for you. You hadn't texted Bob you were coming over and you had the thought you should have before you just showed up.
But you saw Bob taking groceries out of his car when you pulled into a visitor's spot and ran to get to him. "Hey, Bobby," you smiled as you grabbed a bag from his truck.
"Hey, Sunny," Bob looked surprised and you hoped it was pleasant. "What are you doing here?"
"I wanted to see you, is that ok?" You followed him into the building and to the elevator.
"It's more than ok, you're welcome over here whenever you want," he responded, leading the way to his apartment as the doors slid open. You and Bob took one more trip back down to his truck and up to his apartment before all his grocery bags were in his kitchen. You knew how he kept it set up, you had your kitchen set up the same way, so helping him unload everything was easier than you thought it would be. "You are ok, right?" Bob asked.
"Yeah, why?" You turned from putting away his shredded cheese to look at him.
"I was just checking, the last time you came over unannounced you were upset," he told you and you nodded. He was right, only a week ago you had shown up at his apartment crying because your mom was still refusing to talk to you and your dad was slowly stopping his answers to you.
"No, nothing like that," you assured him, trying to figure out the best way to bring up what you did come here for.
"But there is something," it would have been a question if it wasn't for the fact you both knew Bob knew you better than that. He knew there was a reason you hadn't said aloud for one reason or another.
"Of course there is something," you sighed. "I just," you paused and rolled your lips. "I'll tell you, I promise, I just want to be around you for a little while first," you told him.
"Ok, and you promise you're not hurt in any way?"
You smiled at his worry, he really did care for you. "I promise," you assured him, pressing a kiss to his cheek as you moved to sit in his living room.

Bob and you were on your second movie when a knock sounded from his door. You both made eye contact at the sound, like neither of you were expecting it. "Are you waiting for someone?" you asked.
Bob shook his head as he slowly stood when another knock sounded. "No, wait here," he told you, moving to answer the door.
"Hey, Bob," you heard a female voice and looked over. You couldn't see the woman but you could see the way Bob stood straighter and gripped the door a little tighter. "Are you busy?"
You stood at her tone, you weren't going to do anything. You were just curious to see who was flirting with Bob. You leaned against the wall at the end of his entry hallway, your eyes trained on the woman. She was maybe about your age, probably a little older, and she was definitely trying to look younger with her hair and makeup. "I actually am," Bob responded.
"Oh, can I come in?" She stepped closer and you watched Bob take a small step back before looking back at you. You saw the woman look at you too and watched as she stood straighter. "Who's this?" she asked, you were letting Bob handle this.
Bob glanced at you, then her, back at you, then back at her before answering. "My fiancée," Bob lied and she tilted her head.
"I don't see a ring," she pointed out and you made a show of looking down at your empty left hand before gasping lightly.
You looked up at her with a small smile. "Thank you for reminding me," you told her, a saccharine sweetness to your voice. "It's just such a new thing I keep forgetting," you gave her a smile and walked yourself up to Bob's side, pressing yourself into him and relishing in the way he wound his arm around you before his hand rested on your hip.
"A new thing?" she squeaked, a hint to her voice you didn't like.
"Yeah, why?" You were thoroughly enjoying this, maybe too much.
"Oh, uh," she was stumbling over her words.
You gave her a little more time before cutting in again. "Were you hoping we've been engaged long enough to justify you hitting on him? Were you hoping that he was bored of me and would try you?" Your voice was still sweet, like you weren't claiming that she was trying to be a homewrecker. "Here's a tip, sweetie," the sarcastic pet name fell from your mouth thick like honey but dripping with venom. "We've been together since high school, if he was tired of me he would have left by now," you smiled at her, all sugar and sharp edges.
She looked over to Bob. "Are you really going to let her speak like that to me?" she asked as if she had any claim over him.
"Meloney, she's allowed to speak how she wants," Bob said, his voice sharp and clipped. "I have no control over her."
"Well," you drew the word out, earning yourself a pinch to your hip from Bob when he caught the implication. You could tell Meloney got the implication at the way she huffed and rolled her eyes. "How old are you?"
"35, why?" She tilted her head and you barked a laugh.
"35 and you're huffing like a child?"
"Well, you're 35 and acting like a bitch, so," she shrugged.
"Wrong again, sweetie," you told her, the pet name still dripping with venom. "I'm only 29," you smiled so wide, but it hit you that it's only been three years since your talk with Tom in the car about how you were worried Bob was a different person than you knew. How wrong yet right you were.
"29?" Meloney looked between the two of you. "Wait, are you 29?" She was looking at Bob.
"I am," he nodded and you watched her flush.
"I, uh, I," she was stuttering now and you knew she was about to be done.
"Well, thanks for stopping by. But we've got a reservation with our bed, you know how it is," you smiled and closed the door on her as she gaped like a fish.
"I'm pretty sure you're worse than Hangman," Bob said and you laughed, turning in his hold to face him. Bob put both of his arms around you, pulling you completely flush against him.
"If I'm worse than Hangman, then he needs to step up his assholism," you said.
"I don't think assholism is a word," Bob scrunched his nose.
"I say it is, so it is," you shrugged. "That's how words are made anyway," you added.
"Want to tell me why you're over at mine now?" Bob asked, you led him to the couch with a small nod.
You took a deep breath, it was now or never you told yourself as you both sat down. "I know I said I was trying to find myself without you, but that's the problem. There is no me without you, there would be no me without you. Every step of my life, whenever I was low you were what pulled me back. A long time ago I told you I couldn't do this without you, I wasn't lying. If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't be here. Bobby, you make me who I am. Everything I do is because I want to be the best for you. Without you, I wouldn't have survived, I wouldn't have lived. I'm sorry it took me until Carole pointed it out, I'm sorry it took me this long, but I'm ready to try again if you are," you told Bob, your words falling from your mouth fast.
Bob said nothing but he was smiling at you, his eyes wide. When he finally did speak, you could only laugh in relief. "How long until I can marry you?"
"Tomorrow?" you joked.
"I know you're joking, but I'd marry you right now, even in my sweatpants, if I could," he told you, pulling you as close to him as possible. He laid down on his back and had you lay on top of him.
You smiled into his neck where your face was pressed against the soft skin. "I do have to go into work today," you told him, wiggling in his hold a little.
"What? No," Bob whined and you kissed his cheek.
"Sorry, Bobby, but we have this huge project we're working on," you told him.
"Can I come with you?" his eyes were bright as he asked. Oh how you wanted to, but it was supposed to be a secret.
"I wish, but Moriana said it's on a need to know basis right now," you sighed.
"How long are you staying then?" You grabbed Bob's arm to look at his watch.
You did some mental math while thinking of your outfit you were wearing, you'd need to change out of your shorts and tank. "An hour," you settled on.
Bob nodded a little, "Enough time to finish the movie then," he unpaused it and you settled in. You missed watching movies like this, pressed into each other and sharing heat.
✧°˖ . ݁˖︵‿❀‿︵˖ . ݁˖°✧
You walked into the Bane Collective building, with the most put together outfit you had worn since Bob showed back up into your life. "Wow, I knew you had fashion sense but you always surprise me," Moriana spoke as you removed your sunglasses to put them in your purse.
You gave her a smile, your lips natural with a gloss over them. Your eyeshadow was the same green as your skirt. "I'm in a good mood today," you told her, following her to the elevator.
She looked over at you with narrowed eyes. "Any specific reason?"
You nodded at her. "I'm finally back together with Bobby," you answered.
Moriana laughed after you told her. "I've been waiting for this day," she smiled.
"You told me to get over him," you reminded her.
"I was being supportive and giving you the encouragement you needed at the moment," she defended herself and you just shook your head at her.
The doors slid open on the top floor and you two walked out, Delphine was sitting at her desk when they slid open. "Have you been here all day?" She was your personal assistant and you gave her the day off.
"No, ma'am," she shook her head. "I was actually hoping to talk to you two," she said, standing.
"Ok," you glanced at Moriana who shrugged.
"Um, my husband and I have been trying for kids for years," she started. "And it finally took, I was just wondering about the maternity leave," she said and you smiled at her.
"First of all, congratulations. You're going to be such a good mom," you offered her a hug that she took. "Secondly, I control your maternity leave so when you decide that you need it let me know," you added. "You can have as long as you need," you told her, Moriana nodding along.
Delphine thanked the two of you before leaving and you and Moriana went to the drawing room. There were designs everywhere, you had been discreetly getting everyone's preferences on outfits so you two can work them into it. "I was thinking, you said Phoenix likes dresses but hates not having pockets," you nodded along with Moriana. "Our specialty is hidden pockets, what if we tried to add them to a more form fitting dress. Like silk or satin, something delicate but also bad ass," she started sketching.
"Oh, yeah," you nodded slowly, tapping the toe box of your right heel on the ground as you thought. "Javy said he liked the crushed velvet feel," you told her. "I was thinking of a silk button up and crushed velvet jacket and pants. No vest and no tie, but maybe a few top buttons undone," you started sketching your idea.
"See, this is why you're the COO, we think alike," she admitted.
You two kept bouncing ideas off each other for the next few hours. You glanced at your watching and stretched your back. "As much as I love being here, I have family dinner tonight," you stood as you spoke.
"Enjoy it, and tell Carole I say hi," she told you as you collected your purse.
"I will," you affirmed, blowing her a kiss as you left the room. You popped your head back into the room before you left. "Go home at a good time tonight, your wife probably misses you," you told her.
"Estelle's not my wife!" she yelled to you as you walked down the hall.
"Yet! I saw the ring you have hidden in your office!" you shouted back, smiling as you heard her gasp. "I won't tell her, but I want to be one of the firsts to know!"
"You will be!" she yelled back as the doors for the elevator slipped open.
✧°˖ . ݁˖︵‿❀‿︵˖ . ݁˖°✧
You pulled up to Bradley's house, it was his turn to host family dinner, but everyone's cars were there. You checked your phone and saw that Bradley had told you it turned into a back yard barbecue. You huffed a laugh but got out of your car and rounded the side of the house.
Everyone was already there and Natasha was the first to spot you. "Hey, you're here!" she called over and everyone looked towards you.
"I am, if I had known this was going to be outside I would have chosen different shoes," you announced, walking along the pathway. Your heels clicked against the smooth stones as you did.
"Are those…" Natasha trailed off as you lifted a foot to show off your new shoes.
"The Miss Z in white? Yes they are," you smiled.
"How expensive is your outfit?" Javy asked, looking you up and down.
"Uh, the sunglasses themselves are 191 dollars," you told him, trying to let him know it was expensive.
"Fit check, go," Mickey told you and you laughed.
"The shirt I got for 6 dollars at a thrift store, the skirt was about 43 dollars off Amazon, the sunglasses are Ray-Ban and, as I said, 191 dollars. My watch is the Lola Rose Ms. Lola Green Onyx Watch which is 349 dollars, the purse is Prada and I forget how much I paid for it, it was my first big girl purchase. And the shoes are the 100mm Miss Zs in white which cost 995 dollars. Oh, and this bracelet comes from The Natural Emerald Company, it's the emerald and natural diamond tennis bracelet in 14K yellow gold. It was 3,520 dollars," you flashed it and Bradley whistled. "The rings I've collected over the years, I don't remember any of the prices."
"That's at least 5,104 dollars," Mickey said.
"I told you all, I'm stupidly rich and I don't know what to do with it," your sunglasses were still perched on your nose as you spoke. "Oh, and Moriana says hi only to Carole," you smiled over at her.
"Bob, I know you're in love with her, but please let her be my sugar mommy," Natasha said, her voice playful but it had a serious undertone.
"Hey, I just got her back today," Bob reached for you and you let him pull you to him.
"Yeah, Carole made me realize that I was trying to be someone without the influence of Bob. But there is no me without him, and even if there was, she wouldn't be me," you told them.
"I call maid of honor!" Bradley shouted only for Natasha to whip towards him. Your poetic words were completely forgotten, not that you cared.
"You're not even a woman, dipshit!" she shouted back and you started to laugh.
"I've known her the longest," Bradley argued.
"But I'm her best female friend," Natasha looked back at you. "Right?" You nodded in response to her question as Bob held you tighter.
"I'm arguably closer to her," Javy cut in.
"You only say that because you two hooked up once," Natasha waved him off.
"So? It counts!" he shouted, officially joining the argument.
"You know we aren't even engaged, right?" you called over all the yelling.
"You will be soon enough," Bradley said.
"He's not wrong," Bob shrugged and you looked over your shoulder at him.
"It's the principle of the thing," you told him.
"Ok!" Carole cut through the arguing. "It's family dinner night, no fighting," she said in her motherly tone that left no room for arguing.
The argument stopped in its tracks and everyone went back to whatever they were doing before you showed up. You pulled away from Bob and walked over to Tom before sitting down on a chair. "How was work?" Tom asked. You noticed Bob being pulled into the bean bag toss game happening.
"It was good, we got a lot done," you nodded, you knew what he meant. He wanted an update on the outfits.
"That's good, anything interesting?"
"We were working with a lot of silk, we knocked the satin option off the table," you replied, leaning back in your chair and pulling your sunglasses off. You tucked them into your purse and tucked it under your chair.
"What is the difference between the two?" Pete asked, you knew he didn't understand why you were bringing them up.
"Silk is natural and breathable, not to mention more expensive. Satin is what most shirts you find in general stores is, it's not as breathable and can be irritable on the skin. We normally only use it for our affordable line, there are some silk pieces there but we strive for affordable and durable so satin is the main choice for that line," you explained.
"So you weren't working on your affordable line?" Nick entered the conversation. You always found it funny these three men were always interested in your job.
"Nope, we have this big project we're working on," you neglected to tell them it just got bigger with the addition of him and Carole. "And before you ask, I can't talk about it," you told them.
"Only the general stuff?" You nodded at Pete's question. You told them about how you and Moriana were personally working on it and were hand making each of them. You left out the fact that the accessories were also being chosen by you two. But you did tell them you two only had three outfits left to make then you're done. That one was specifically for Tom to know.
✧°˖ . ݁˖︵‿❀‿︵˖ . ݁˖°✧
You sent the email to Tom that the outfits were done, and to just let you know when they wanted to visit to check them out. You got a response right away saying that he will ground them for the day, force them all to shower, and bring them over. You rushed out of your office and down the hall to Moriana's. "They're coming today," you told her. "We have maybe two hours," you added.
"We better hurry then," she stood and you both rushed down the two floors before the doors to the elevator slid open. "Sometimes I wish I had gotten a bigger building, but then these things happen and I'm glad it's only seven floors," she told you, lighting laughter between you two.
✧°˖ . ݁˖︵‿❀‿︵˖ . ݁˖°✧
You were waiting on the bottom floor for the Daggers. You were thankful for your outfit today, you knew it would drive Bob crazy as you took them on the tour. It wasn't purposeful, it just happened that way but you were thankful for the coincidence. You glanced down at your watch, checking the time.
When you looked up again, you smiled when you saw the whole Daggers, plus Nick and Carole, walking in. "Hi," you said as you walked up, your heels clicking.
"What are we doing here?" Carole asked, her eyes narrowed.
"A tour!" you announced. "But first you need to check in with security so you can go past the second floor," you led them to the security desk and checked them all in.
You stated your relationship with each, it didn't matter what you said since they'd be let in with you anyway. "And just put Bob down as my husband," you told Rosalie.
"Ok, they're all good," she smiled as she handed Bob his visitor's pass.
"Follow me," you gestured towards the private elevator and scanned your badge to take it. "So the bottom floor and the second floor is open to the public," you started your tour. "The bottom floor is the biggest Bane Collective store in the world," you told them. "The second floor, where we are headed, is where we house our one of a kind pieces," you were facing the group as you spoke, your hand held out as you held Bob's hand. "They don't go up for sale until we rotate it out with another one of a kind piece," you told them as the doors slid open.
You walked them down the short hallway and opened the doors for them all to walk in. "Are we allowed to look around?" Natasha was sticking close to you.
"Please do," you told her. "But stay close enough for me to continue my speech!" you called and they all reeled in their wandering. You moved slowly across the floor, your heels clicking with each step. "Most of our one of a kind pieces are sold at our yearly auction where all proceeds go to The Trevor Project and Stand Up To Cancer," you told them.
"I didn't know that," Mickey said, walking back to stand by you.
"Moriana added Stand Up To Cancer a year ago when her mom was diagnosed with breast cancer," you told them. "The Trevor Project was my idea, before the auction went into the pocket of the old CEO, Moriana's uncle. Moriana and I changed that the second she became CEO and named me COO," you explained, taking Bob's hand as he came back to stand with you. "Are we ready?" you asked and they all nodded and followed you to the elevator again.
"Where are we headed next?" Mickey asked.
"We're skipping the third and fourth floor, they're our production floors. That's where all the pieces that are made here are produced," you told them. "We have a warehouse downtown and a factory about two hours from here," you added. "Mori wants me to make sure you all know we don't use sweat shops or child labor across the sea," you told them. "We are headed to the top, the seventh floor. You get to see my office and meet Moriana before we go down to the fifth and sixth floors," you explained.
Moriana was waiting at the elevators when the doors slid open. "Welcome," she greeted them. "I trust my COO was treating you right," she smirked, clearly knowing the personal connection to them all.
"Not at all, she hit us," Bradley said and you spun to face him.
"Keep up with your slander and I just might," you warned.
"Please don't make her hit you, her jewelry is too expensive and nice," Moriana spoke and you laughed gently. You two walked side by side as you gave the tour of the seventh floor before heading down one.
Moriana went to talk to someone so you took charge. "Here is where we keep all Bane Collective jewelry and shoes," you told them, pointing out some of your favorite pieces.
"Why don't you wear any of this?" Mickey asked, clearly talking about your non Bane Collective pieces.
"I do, my earrings are from here," you were wearing gold hoops with diamonds embedded in them. "I just don't tend to reach for only Bane Collective," you told him as Moriana walked up.
"Let's head down a floor, shall we?" She led the way back to the elevator and you were excited.
"This floor, the fifth, is our staging floor. Anyone who works with us for custom pieces come here where they get to try everything on before taking it home with them," you told the group as the elevator doors slid open. Moriana nodded at you, letting you know you could drop the bomb. "And I am very proud to announce to you all that you get to take home six outfits, accessories and shoes included," you told them as you all stepped out. In the middle of the open floor plan, there were all 6 outfits for each of them on clothing mannequins.
"No way," you heard Reuben gasp.
"Yep, and whichever is your favorite is the one you will be wearing to your gala in a week," you added, a smile painted on your lips.
Bradley's lips twitched as he looked at you. "You have a matching outfit for all of Bob's, don't you?"
"Shush," you pressed your right pointer finger to his lips for a moment as you spoke. "Don't give away my secrets," you added, lighting laughter through the group and knocking them out of their shock. "Go look and touch, they're all yours and labeled," you pointed and they all broke off. You walked over to Bob's with him, letting him look at them each. Bob only looked one over before walking to you and grabbing your hips. "I'm not one of your outfits," you joked.
"I know, but I also know that you know you're driving me crazy in that outfit," he told you, his eyes roaming over you again.
You smiled at him, you had exercised self control and haven't hooked up with him since that night in the truck. That was almost 5 months ago and you were both feeling it. "Tonight, I promise," you told him, leaning in to give him a kiss. "Now look at the outfits, I hand made and designed them all," you told him, letting him lead you to them by the arm he wrapped around your waist.
"Yo, this is crushed velvet!" Javy called. "Bumble, is this why you've been asking about our opinions on fabric and shit?"
You smiled over at Javy. "Obviously, Moriana and I hand made and personally designed all of these. This is the big project I've been talking about," you told him.
"Wow, you're more conniving than I thought," Jake laughed and you shrugged.
"I wanted to make sure everyone was going to love all their options, the harder it is for you to pick your favorite the better," you announced as Moriana went to explain something to Carole.
✧°˖ . ݁˖︵‿❀‿︵˖ . ݁˖°✧
You had helped take all of Bob's outfits to his apartment. Not that he really needed the help, you just wanted to be there. You were now watching as he kept staring at them all. "How am I supposed to choose when they were all hand made by you for me?" Bob asked.
You laughed lightly, stepping up to him as your heels clicked along the tile floor of his apartment. "How about you come to mine, I'll put on all the matching outfits for each option and you pick your favorite," you offered.
Bob looked at the outfits then at you before nodding. "I like that plan," he gathered them up again and you both took your separate cars to your house.
By the time you two made it, Bob was teeming with excitement to see you all dressed up. You led Bob to a guest bedroom, you converted into an at home work room with your sewing machine on a table by the window.
Your dress options were all on sewing mannequins and lined up in the room already. "I'm just going to start from the left and work my way down," you told him, pulling out your chair and having him sit. "I also hope you enjoy the show," you added with a smirk.
"Show? What show?" Bob asked with a small head tilt.
You laughed a little before reaching for your skirt's zipper. "I'm changing in front of you, Bobby. That's the show," you explained, relishing in his red cheeks.
The first dress was a dark red with a square neckline and thick spaghetti straps. It was form fitting until it hit your waist where it flared out and stopped at your ankles. Bob reached forward and grabbed your waist to pull you to him. "I like this one," he said, his hands roaming over the fabric.
"I have a feeling you'll like all of them," you smiled down at him, leaning down to capture his lips. Your next dress was an off the shoulder V neck silk dress in dark green that hugged you until it hit your waist again. Only this time, it flowed straight down instead of poofing out a little like the red. You liked the sleeves on this one because they fell loose and the whole dress was held up by the corset you had put into it.
You saw Bob just staring at you and decided to try on the next one. It was black silk with a cowl neckline that fell in the perfect loose V neck and thin spaghetti straps, it hugged all your curves until it reached your upper thigh where the slit started. "Jesus Christ," Bob muttered before pulling you to him again.
"You like?" you giggled, letting Bob feel you up through the fabric of the dress.
"Like? I love it," Bob leaned forward to place a gentle kiss to your stomach over the dress. You smiled as you pulled away and went for the next dress. It was a dark red fabric with glitter woven into it. It had a sweetheart neckline, thin straps, and was a mermaid style dress. The fabric was stretchy enough that you could move around easily. "I think you're trying to kill me," he muttered.
"Kill you? No. Work you up? Maybe a little," you teased, moving to change into the next one. This one was a silver color and also glittery. It had a deeper sweetheart neckline, revealing the entire valley between your boobs, and an off the shoulder moment like the dark green dress. It hugged your body until it hit your hips where it loosened up but fell close to your body and had a slit going up your right leg that stopped at your upper thigh. You had a little trouble at the corset, more focused on the way Bob was staring at you.
Bob audibly groaned once you finished putting it on. "Fuck," he reached for you again and you let it happen.
"Last one," you told him, moving to it after letting Bob kiss the swell of each of your boobs. This one was white, glittery, and short. You weren't expecting Bob to choose it for the gala, you made it for your wedding. It had a deep V, going past the valley of your breasts and stopping at the bottom of your breast bone. The fabric hugged everything and stopped at your upper thighs, about two inches below your ass. The back was open all the way down to your lower back with three straps embedded with diamonds going across the open space. It was a halter top and the strap that went around your neck was also embedded with diamonds.
Bob stood for this one, grabbing you and smashing his lips to yours. "Holy shit, baby," he muttered.
"Want to know a secret?" you asked, pressing yourself closer to him. Bob nodded at your words. "I'm hoping you don't pick this one, I made it for our wedding reception," you whispered in his ear.
Bob groaned, letting his head drop to your shoulder before picking it up to look you in the eyes. "I'm not deciding right now," he told you. "Right now I'm taking you to your bed and showing you just how much I love this dress," he told you, backing you out of the room with his hands on your waist.
You smiled at him, ready for whatever he had planned. "You're not going to hurt the dress, right?" You had to clarify.
"Hell no, pretty girl. You have a wedding reception to wear it to," he smirked, smashing his lips to yours again. Bob's hands were everywhere before he helped you out of the dress. It was carefully placed on your desk before Bob was back on you. "Can't wait to marry you," he mumbled, his lips brushing yours while you arched your back for more contact.
You fell onto your bed and softly bounced from the kinetic energy while Bob worked on unbuttoning his shirt. You watched with hungry eyes as he threw it aside before pulling his undershirt off and tossing it just as much. You couldn't help yourself, you leaned forward and licked a stripe up his abs. "If I don't see these more often, I will be throwing a diva level fit," you told him, your hands roaming the smooth skin of his torso.
Bob laughed a little, his face flushing. "Don't worry, pretty girl, you can see them whenever you want," he assured you while you reached for his belt. Bob watched as you undid his belt before pulling it out of the loops, you had the idea of letting Bob tie you up with it but you wanted to be able to touch him this time. So you put it aside and went for his button and zipper, with careful hands you undid his jeans and let him get them off. You reached for Bob's boxers but he gently took your hands and leaned over you, forcing you to lay back against the bed. "Not this time," he murmured against your lips. "Next time, promise," he added at your small pout.
You smiled up at him before reconnecting your lips. "I've got condoms in my nightstand," you told him, too used to men just getting straight to their pleasure.
"Mm, good to know," he told you, slowly kissing down your body. "But I wanna do this first," he said, unhooking your bra and giving your nipples attention before traveling lower. How could you forget, Bob would live between your thighs if he could. He pulled your panties off and tossed them somewhere before leaning in.
Your hand weaved through his hair as he licked a stripe up to your clit. "Fuck," you sighed, letting Bob do his thing. You were ever so slightly in your head, Bob was better at this then last time. You didn't like thinking about why, but you couldn't help it.
Bob could tell you weren't fully paying attention, you were too still, too quiet. Sure, your hand was messing up his hair, your hips were jolting with his movements, you had noises falling from your mouth, but you weren't reacting how you normally did. Bob sucked your clit hard and you completely jolted. Bob lifted his head and rested his cheek against your thigh as he looked up at you. "Get out of your head, pretty girl," he murmured, turning his head to press a kiss to your thigh before giving it a small bite.
You jumped again after his bite. "Sorry," you muttered, your face pulled into a frown.
"Hey, hey," Bob moved back up your body to look you in the eyes. "What's wrong?" You rolled your lips and hesitated to tell him, you both knew you both had hooked up with other people before. Bob beat you by saying, "Are you jealous?"
You nodded before you finally spoke. "I know I have no right, but-" Bob cut you off with a kiss.
"I sometimes get jealous looking at Coyote knowing you've been with him, you get to be jealous too," he told you and you smiled a little, finally coming back to the moment. You surged forward to kiss him again, deeper this time. "Are you feeling better?" You nodded with a small hum. "Can I go back now?"
You nodded a little. "Please," you gasped as Bob drew a circle on your clit with his thumb. Bob hummed before kissing back down your body as he made it to your folds again. Bob licked another stripe up to your clit before sucking it into his mouth and flicking it. You were gasping breaths in as Bob started to fuck you with his tongue, his nose bumping into your clit. His hands were gripping your thighs to keep them open as you kept trying to close them. "Bobby," you warned, your hips moving as you did. Bob removed one hand from your thighs, moving his posture so his shoulder could keep your leg where it was before throwing his arm over your hips and holding them still.
You gasped Bob's name as you came, Bob working you through it with his tongue. You gently pulled Bob's hair but he stayed where he was, using your overstimulation to work you to the edge again and fast. Your hips tried to roll against Bob's hold as your second orgasm washed over you. Only when you whined and pulled Bob's hair a little harder did he remove his head from your thighs. Bob kissed his way up your body, giving you time to come back down. "You did so good," Bob muttered, pressing his lips to yours again. "Taste just as sweet as I remembered," he added, your hips rolling up for any friction.
"I want you, please," you told him, your hips still rolling up for any sort of stimulation as you reached up to push his glasses up his nose for him.
Bob gave you one last kiss before pulling away and opening your nightstand. You were in too much of a daze to see Bob linger on your vibrator, plans for the future forming in his head, but he grabbed a condom. You rolled your head to the side to watch Bob push his boxers off and slip the condom on. "You ready, pretty girl?" Bob gently asked as he moved back to hover over you. His glasses were a little fogged up but it didn't seem like he cared, just using one hand to push them up his nose again.
You nodded as you reached down to line him up, but Bob gently swatted your hand away to do it himself. You both shared a gasp as Bob pushed in, the stretch immediate. "Fuck, you feel so good," he moaned.
You were gasping and gripping Bob's shoulders. "'S too big," you muttered, your body still not used to him anymore. "Not gonna fit," you whined as Bob stilled his hips.
Bob dipped his head to press kisses to each of your cheeks. "It will, I promise," he told you. "It did last time and it will again," he assured, gently pushing his hips forward when he felt your walls loosen a little more to let him in, his cock bullying its way inside you. "See, it's ok," he kissed you as he bottomed out.
You let out a small breath as you got used to the intrusion, you nodded at Bob and he started to move. Your moans blended together and bounced off your walls. "Bob," you gasped as he reached down to flick your puffy clit. There wasn't much else you could do, your world narrowed down to Bob and how good he was making you feel. But even in your hazy mind, you managed to push his glasses up his nose as they slipped again.
"Fuck," Bob groaned as his hips sped up. "You feel so good," he muttered, the arm next to your head flexing at the effort to keep him up. You turned your head to dig your teeth into the muscle as you cummed again, your moans muffled by his arm. Bob was following you, filling the condom before adjusting the two of you so you were still connected but you were laying on top of Bob.
"You still blush easy," you told him, trying to catch your breath.
"Oh, I just fucked your brains out and that's the first thing you're going to say?" Bob asked, giving your hip a light pinch.
You wiggled a little at the action. "Sorry, I noticed it earlier," you giggled as you spoke.
"It's just a you thing," he muttered, his voice low and rumbling through his chest. You smiled and landed a kiss to his chest at his words. "Are you ready to clean up?" he asked gently.
You nodded and slowly moved off of him, hissing at the loss. "I think I need a shower," you muttered, your skin rapidly cooling now that you weren't sharing body heat.
Bob helped you up and helped you make it to the bathroom as your legs gently shook. "Want a friend in the shower?" he joked as he removed his glasses and set them down on your bathroom sink.
"A friend? No," you teased, grabbing his hand and pulling him in after you. "My future husband? Absolutely," you mused, pulling him closer to press a kiss to his lips.
Bob pulled you all the way against him. "If you aren't careful, you'll have to shower again," Bob told you, his eyes squinted to see you without his glasses.
"I have to be careful? You're the one holding me against you," you tilted your head at him.
