i NEEEEEDDDD to ramble and info dump so im gonna (you dont have to read it all but if you do thank you for your time!!). okay, okay, so one of the coolest things ever about the cripps' brothers (and prolly why im so hyper fixated on them) is that they are both AMAZING musicians, who happen to be identical twins AND happen to play two diff kinds of music & instruments, AND happen to be the most easily relatable people ive ever had a fixation on!! micks brother, robert was the bassist in a band (silly that he was a bassist aswell because thats the exact thing mick didnt wanna be for long) called 'demoliton gore galore' which, get this.... WAS PRODUCED BY A NEW YORK DOLLS MEMBER (arthur killer kane!!) which in my opinion is so so so fucking cool!! the band itself never blew up too much beyond a few copies sold and they only have like one or two ep's (i know their first one was released in 1986) the album is definitely very very glam punk & kinda shock rock and VERY different from the music his brother made in l.a. guns. robert was close-ish friends w/ arthur it seems & i was able to find a picture of them together from arthurs book called I, Doll. atleast im kinda sure its rob, honestly im pretty sure because of the hair, no tats on his arms, and their very recognizable nose and side profile (man these guys have the same side profile too ofc) but alas i didnt see anything listing who the other person was, but my best guess being rob makes sense.
↑ this is the pic i found. ↑ i love this pic of them w kelly!!
moving on from that part of the rant, these guys GENUINELY have some of the best taste in music, i absolutely adore when i share favorite artists, with my favorite artists!! the array of music that mick likes is so so so fuckin cool (like some of his fav bands being Dead or Alive AND The Damned?? (i definitely can see that man loving other new wave and goth artists aswell) is sooo cool to me because i love both of those bands aswell. UGH and dont even get me started on the fact mick is well versed in electronic sampling, editing and other sorts of things similar to that. i really admire the way he mixed his knowledge on electronic elements in with Letting Go, Slap in the face, and Malaria. i think letting him do some touch ups on the songs for Cocked and Loaded really made it stand out much more than their self titled debut. i also feel as if tho micks own love for electronic music helped him garner an idea on what to add and what not to add, to keep it sounding like l.a. guns. i love multi instrumentalists so much. anyway, rant pretty much over im very sorry for the length!!
tldr: syn thinks the cripps' brothers are cool and talented.
↑ absolutely "amazing" flier for a show that demolition gore galore played!! WITH TEX & THE HORSEHEADS (i love texacala jones alot so i find that rlly interesting!!)
