La Tour d'Eben-Ezer est une tour-musée construite par Robert Garcet à Eben-Emael (commune de Bassenge), au nord de Liège
Tower of Eben-Ezer, Bassenge, Belgium
Robert Garcet (1912-2001); Tower built 1950-1964
Robert Garcet was a visionary, self-taught architect and fantasy author. His book Heptameron re-writes history and the Bible, describing the evolution of humans from dinosaurs and culminating in an apocalypse of peace.
Garcet believed he had discovered the remains of an ancient civilization under his property. He built the tower to symbolize the ascent of humanity from these ancient beginnings to a paradise community in Heaven. The tower is seven floors to suggest “Seventh Heaven,” and it is crowned by four winged creatures that might symbolize a human soul's peaceful flight into the everlasting.
