Patrick Gibson is going to be our Nikolai!!!!!!!

I fell in love with Paddy when I saw "Tolkien" (2019) for the first time and he was absolutely fantastic in his role as one of Tolkien's closests friends, Robert Gilson.

Look at him smiling and tell me he doesn't have the warmest smile, it makes my heart melt with joy to watch him so happy about his new adventure in Shadow and Bone.

I am honestly so proud of him and I wish him the best experience in the Grishaverse. I know he will make a wonderful job and I hope you all will be kind with him even if you wish they had chosen someone else for the role. Please be respectuful towards him and every other cast member as they are doing an hard work to please us.

Again congratulations to you Paddy, I'm so proud of you! 🥺💚🌼

Omg I second all the TCBS headcanon love and totally don’t have to write more but I’d request crush headcanon with TCBS members because I feel like they’d each express it so vastly different

it’s the way you look at someone and suddenly can’t breathe

the wonder in his eyes is utterly fascinated with everything and anything you

when he writes again, suddenly his stories are full of beauty, and light, and hope, and he knows that it’s all because of you

can’t help the smile that tugs at his face whenever you’re around

and he lights up, stupidly, and he finds he doesn’t even mind

perhaps it’s almost poetic in the way he’s always looking when you’ve turned away, and doing everything he can to keep his eyes away when it’s you who looks at him

meaningful sentences that leave you wondering if he’s dropping subtle hints or if you’re imagining everything

and when he reads poetry, suddenly there’s this depth to his voice, and despite being in love, it’s killing him just the same

major pining in an episode of idiots to lovers

subtle, subtle, subtle

sometimes it’s confusing, like that time he held you as you cried and everything felt right but other times you’re both so distant

but when he does meet your gaze, softly, it’s as if he’s finally allowing himself to possibly find his forever

he stops talking, mid-sentence, the first time he sees you and somehow can’t get his voice to start working again

later he plays up his theatrics with the boys and the hope in his eyes when he turns to see if you’re looking makes him glow with vivacity and suddenly it’s like it’s just the two of you, living a secret the both of you won’t say

makes certain to talk to you whenever he can, (dumb questions, usually) and right before he has to leave one night, bright-eyed and drunk off his ass, he tells you, “you’re beautiful”

silently pleads that his friends won’t pull the “helheimr” card, because he doesn’t want to ruin this beautiful thing you both have, because even in his wildest dreams there’s no way you’d fall for a disaster like him

also what is art anymore there is no masterpiece like you

somehow his compliments make you feel like it’s the first time you’ve ever been truly noticed, because he manages to make you smile and the warmth in his eyes is absolutely breathtaking

composed a song and won’t ever let you know what it’s called -- but it’s for you, it always has been

he’ll play it for you one day, eventually, but unbeknownst to him you’ve already heard him practice it a million times
